John W -
This villa is fantastic! 13 of us rented the entire house, and we unanimously agreed that it was perfect. The villa itself is lovely -- recently renovated, comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Separate instant-on hot-water heaters for each apartment (an important point when 13 people are showering each morning!), a clothes-washer, and several dishwashers. The outdoor patio around the pool was wonderful -- we spent most evenings sitting around the pool enjoying wine and appetizers. And the view... suffice it to say that it's unbelievable. The location is ideal for sightseeing -- roughly an hour from Arezzo, Siena, and Assissi, about 1.5 hours to Florence. We even had one carload take a day trip to Rome. We asked the Cinaglias to prepare our dinner each evening, and we highly recommend future groups consider this too. The Cinaglias were wonderful hosts -- extremely helpful when we needed them otherwise absolutely unobtrusive. I can't recommend Cuiano enough

Peaceful retreat in the hills

We returned this year, having enjoyed our stay last year, and were not disappointed.

The owner, Franco, works hard to keep the area clean and tidy and had clearly been working out of season to continue to improve the facilities and environment.

The apartments are all comfortable and well equipped and the area around the pool can be wonderfully tranquil and relaxing.

We would certainly consider returning

The property is nicely maintained and peaceful. The views are good. La Loggia was more spacious than expected.
We had a really nice walk along the track at the back up into the hills. The pool is a good size, clean and importantly cool. The owner is friendly and courteous. The 2 nearby villages have minor shops and a small restaurant whcih was ok.
Very minor minus points were not enough kitchen equipment, no local guide books in the villa, and a difficult drive up to the villa on a small road - but its worth it.

The villa is superb, and Franco and his family are wonderful hosts. The views are spectacular, and Maria's cooking is outstanding. This was our second stay at the villa, and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing get away in the Tusacn hills.

Villa Cuiano is a place that I would absolutely recommend to people looking for tranquil place close to the nature. The house is located high on a forest mountain slope with no village or other property seen from that place. But with the car you are able to reach every place in Tuscany and Umbria in one day trip. The owner is a very kind and polite person who keeps the house, pool and garden in a great shape. He made us feeling like extraordinary quests always fullfilling our extra needs. One may always ask him for a valuable information about the local attractions and customs, restaurants worth going, etc. Among many advantages it is worth mention that Cuiano place is never too hot which makes sleeping and resting very comfortable. Despite the facility consists of some six apartments one may never feel the place overcrowded and I am sure that sometime I will visit that place again which is a best recommendation.

We were looking for something out of the ordinary. This villa was it. It was very clean. The owner was there everyday making sure the place was in good shape. He did his work quickly and without bothering us and then left for the day. He was always willing to answer our questions. The pool was clean and a great temperature. The scenery can not be beat.
The drive up the hill is a little scary if you have never been on a small switchback road before but we had no trouble getting up and down the mountain.
We took up the whole villa and every single apartment was in good working order.
We also enjoyed "talking" with Franco's father who only spoke Italian. We only spoke English but he was such a happy person and we were happy to try and communicate with him every time we saw he around the villa as he was cleaning up.
The place was great and clean but the best part had to be the owner and his father. They were very helpful and accommodating.
You will not be disappointed in the scenery, accommodations and the service.
