A week in autumn

The villa was excellent. Cool as well as warm and airy with lovely views across the private park.

The owners are lovely warm people who couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one. They were always available but never obtrusive. Their hospitality was 110%. They treated us as friends not clients.

The nearby town, Padova, is charming and genuinely friendly - and in a certain way very cosmopolitan The surrounding country is great to explore and full of character. Also Venice and Verona are at a short distance from the Villa.

Local food was relatively inexpensive and in our experience always good. The local supermarkets have good supplies of most things anyone might need and the major large ones are not too far away. The area is not only beautiful but also peaceful and encouraged us to relax (which is what we needed).

We have only one major regret - that we were able to stay for only a short time - next time we come (and we will) it will be for at least 2 weeks. We would certainly recommend this charming villa and we look forward to returning.
Owner's Response: Thank you so very much for staying with us. Your appreciation was our commitment to try and excel in providing a special place to enjoy a great holiday. We thank you for leaving your precious hints and the perfect description of the area in our in house guestbook for future guests, who will benefit from your valued suggestions. We are glad you spent an unforgettable holiday and hope to see you again in Veneto.

A totally relaxing week

I travelled with 10 other members of my family across Europe this summer, spending one week at Villa Mandriola. It is stunning ! A beautiful villa with lots and lots of space... no cramping with 11 of us there.... room for more infact!
The house had great facilities and everything you needed in a kitchen to be self sufficient. The pool (above-ground ) was magnificent and BIG, loads of sun loungers, space and shade in areas if you wanted it.... A quiet and beautiful location with shops and services a short drive away made it the perfect place for us all to have fun, relax and laugh.

No near neighbours meant we could totally relax without worrying that we would disturb anyone else with all our children. Also I love the fact that at Villa Mandriola everyone can escape – from the demands of computers and phones, from traffic and noise – to a simpler life where you can read, play games with your children, eat pizza or eat amazing local food and local salad al fresco with your family or a group of friends in the cool of the evening.

The owners of Villa Mandriola are fantastic to deal with and I will certainly be going back again. Absolutely NO negatives about this villa... go and enjoy a truly glorious location and classic venetian villa.

Beautiful Villa in a secluded, secure location, fabulous rooms, and delicious food you will not want to leave. I went with a group of friends for a week. We were greeted by Nicolo' who gave us a tour of the Villa and the private park and made us feel welcome immediately. The rooms have a great layout, comfortable beds, all the amenities and plenty of tourist information.
A place where time passes you by. Can't wait to bring my family in this charming villa in Veneto.

Every once in a while one gets to experience something truly exceptional - so far out of the realm of the ordinary that the mind boggles.

Villa Mandriola truly deserves all of the astounding reviews it has received. Uberto and Giovanna have created an exceptional space and do everything they possibly can to help you feel comfortable, as well as guide you, via their recommendations, through all of the incredible places to visit in Veneto.

Rooms are beautiful and spotless, the grounds are beyond gorgeous and special dinners are superb.

A wonderful holiday, a very well equipped venetian villa with beautiful grounds. We look forward to a return visit. There is no hesitation in highly recommending this excellent location.

Top marks for Villa Mandriola! We have been hiring villas for the last few years and this is definitely one of the nicest we've stayed in.

We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and charming holiday. The villa is ideally located in the heart of the Veneto region and the description is very accurate. The property is comfortable, clean and tidy and well maintained inside and out.

The owners live in a wing of the villa and are willing to assist in any way possible. We could not fault their hospitality.

The scenery around the area is breathtaking with many walkways should you wish to take advantage of this. Theres plenty of information in the villa regarding the local area, activities and restaurants etc.

Will definately make a return trip to this villa and thoroughly recommend it to anyone else.
Owner's Response: Thank you so very much for your kind words and for giving us your feedback! It is of tremendous help for future guests to help them understand how Villa Mandriola really is and what it has to offer. We strived to provide a pleasant place and relaxing atmosphere for our guests. You will always be welcome to come back anytime. Grazie!

Villa Mandriola, as fantastic as it looks, is actually under-represented on these sites. We could not have been more fortunate in selecting this Villa as the facility for our home during our Italy retreat. Where do you begin in describing how great a location and facility Villa Mandriola offered to our group of twelve. The entire Villa was beautiful, clean, comfortable and accommodating for all of us.

When you look at the pictures of Villa Mandriola, what you can't see are the sounds and views of the sunrise and sunsets over the park and the close Euganean hills. The Villa was always comfortably cool, like being airconditioned, even though it was not airconditioned. The Villa enticed one into complete relaxation. Given our limited time in Italy, we seemed to always be on the go, however, when we arrived back at the Villa we were ready to relax and enjoy the accommodation.

We had the chef cook three different evenings and the meals were always excellent. We ate out at several restaurants in the area that were all excellent. I wonder when you are in such a great location, can you really find anything not perfect?

Uberto and Giovanna (the owners) were very accomodating and great to deal with. Uberto went out of his way to provide recommendations regarding dining out and suggestions regarding the surrounding area. Many thanks to Uberto and Giovanna for making this great estate available for our vacation.

The initial directions to Villa Mandriola created some challenge in finding Villa Mandriola, however, once we became familiar with the area, getting to surrounding towns by car or train was convenient. We look forward to returning soon!
Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your beautiful comments!!

We are constantly eager to improve the quality, service and amenity of our Venetian Villa. We look forward to welcoming you and your family or your friends in the future.

Waiting to see you soon,
all our best

We will not say

The entire experience of Villa Mandriola surpassed all our expectations. We all leave with special memories that we will always cherish. The Villa is situated in a stunning part of Veneto and although it's close to popular tourist spots like Venice, Padua itself, Verona, Bologna and Vicenza, it's removed enough to allow us to spend time enjoying real, unspoilt rural Northeast Italy.

Despite spending a lot longer than most at Villa Mandriola, we were never bored - there's so much to do and see - from walking, cycling and sight-seeing, to historic sites, grottos, thermal spas, fantastic markets and as well beaches.
We even visited Florence and Milan and my husband, brother-in-law and cousin played golf! We also particularly enjoyed the visit to the thermal baths at Montegrotto and Abano Terme, the wine tasting tour and lunch at the Agriturismo (excellent wine).

When we weren't out exploring, or eating, we had a wonderful time just relaxing by the pool or by just feeling the history of the place that we were experiencing. Our two children (8 and 12) were never short of friends playing with Rex and had a fantastic time swimming and running around the parkland in complete safety.
We will never forget the absolutely breathtaking views over the park, the marvellous weather, the wonderful italian wines, of course... the city of Padua, but mostly... the WONDERFUL Italian people!!

The owners were friendly and offered advice when asked on a range of enquiries.....where to go, what to do etc.. They make us feel at home... There are also plenty of advertising material provided about places to visit. Thank you for such a lovely break, we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a very special family holiday. Grazie!

Villa Mandriola Padua

We had a sensational break in Villa Mandriola in Padua and it was very good value. This was great for those in the family who love historic buildings in their original state.

The kids loved the gardens, and biking over to the pool. They also loved playing on the gardens with the dogs and badminton net. I don't think the kids got out on the lake to paddle around on the boat but it looked fun.

We were very close to Padua and enjoyed the non touristy restaurants. There was a great supermarket just 1km up the road.

On the down side, the kitchen in the Villa was a bit tired but we ate out in front of the Villa. That was very grand.

You've got to walk the hallways and see the rooms to fully appreciate that this is an historic home.

Ludovico, Nicolo and the father made us feel very welcome.
Owner's Response: Thanks! It was really a pleasure to host you all in our Villa Mandriola. We are glad that you really appreciate the very special atmosphere of our spacious country house which was actually conceived and built as an old times summer vacation resort, now renovated and added with all modern comforts.

We are constantly trying to do our best in order to keep always such an atmosphere and the maximum of efficiency and comforts in Villa Mandriola. We will wait for you next year...

We were absolutely delighted with our choice of venue for our late November holiday. The description regarding layout, amenities and location was accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained and the surrounding grounds and pool area were impeccable. The owners were friendly and offered advice when asked on a range of enquiries.....where to go, what to do etc.. They make us feel at home... Thank you for such a lovely break.

We went on personal recommendation and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends. We particularly enjoyed the visit to the thermal baths at Montegrotto Terme, the wine tasting tour and lunch at Monte Fasolo. (excellent wine) Plenty of advertising material provided about other places to visit. I hope this has helped it really is a great place. Happy holidays

A true Villa!

There is nothing misleading about the description of Villa Mandriola.
It's grounds, buildings, interiors, furnishings, are all world class. The owner and his family are world class, also.
Our 3 generation family of 10 spent 1 week at the Villa, for a reunion, in the early part of June, 2008. There were no surprises. The kitchen is enormous, and completely equipped. Grocery shopping with everything available is very close, with reasonable prices. The bedrooms, and bathrooms are grand, and comfortable. The wall murals throughout, and statuary outside truly transport you to a romantic period in Italy. Our stay was much too short - there is so much to do around Padova - and we would have liked to just relax at the Villa longer.

I will always consider the family at he villa as friends, and would love to return to Villa Mandriola.
