Excellent accomodation

Stayed at the accommodation from 6/4/09 to the 20/4/09, Manuela and David were very welcoming. As the previous review states the internal pictures do not do this justice. It was large and clean and was exactly what we were looking for. Having been to Madeira many times we knew the location which was ideal for us especially as we had hired a car, parking it in the underground car park was a bonus. The pool was good and my 13 yr old daughter was in it almost every day. Would recommend this anyone, will definately use the apartment again if we return.

We spent a week here at the beginning of february. The photo's on the web site do not do the apartment justice, for it is far more spacious and comfortable than it appears.
The terrace was lovely, everything was spotlessly clean and Manuela and David could not have been more helpful.
The apartment is situated on a hill (which most of Madeira is) so there are lovely views overlooking the sea, though strong uphill walking legs are needed!
Plenty of restaurants nearby, and buses and taxi's if you dont have a car.
Just right for a relaxing break.
We could not fault the apartment or the holiday. We really should be keeping this a secret.

This property was great to relax in with wonderful sea views.We had a lovely time at this home from home.
We have visited the island on many occations and this property did not disappoint us. We will certainly use this property again

Pleasant stay

We had a very pleasant stay here in December, around new year.
The apartment is modern, has nice wooden floors, spacious bedrooms and a comfortable balcony that fits an outside table.
There is private parking in the underfloor garage with two guaranteed parking spots.
Walking into town is relatively easy (about 20 minutes to the pier) - walking back is tougher, uphill, so we tended to take a taxi or bus back.
All in all, recommendable - we'd stay here again !

Thank you for providing us with such a lovely apartment - roomy, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Since all four of us are foodies, we liked the kitchen very much. This was aided, of course, by a couple of excellent supermarkets nearby. Breakfasting and dining on the verandah was especially pleasurable.
The owners very quickly called out assistance when the electronic gate and garage door became damaged in a violent storm. Manuella was very attentive then, and at other times when we needed advice.
The island was its usual spectacular self, providing not only scenery but some wonderful walking. Also we loved some of the restaurants in old Funchal, and, indeed, just down the hill from the apartment. Morning coffee and cakes in the local patisserie was especially nice. Our Welsh son-in-law was delighted to find a Welsh-speaking Portuguese waiter in one of the restaurants!
If our relatives can bear our company again, we will certainly ask to rent this apartment again.

appartement trés spacieux pour 5 personnes. La terrasse, où l'on peut manger, est trés agréable. La vue sur l'océan et les paquebots est super. La piscine est grande et propre. Lieu calme, malgré la proximité des magasins et du bord de mer. Les propriétaires sont trés sympa.

A home from home - Excellent holiday apartment

The apartment was exceptionally clean, fresh and airy with plenty of room for us all to relax and unwind. We certainly never felt on top of one another. A highlight for us, was the ability to shut off the bedrooms from the kitchen and living/dining room, allowing the children to sleep peacefully as we ate or watched tv in the evenings for example.
We particularly enjoyed the location of the apartment, in a quiet residential area with good access to Funchal by foot. Whilst the walk back up the hill in the afternoon is not for the faint hearted, we felt a great sense of satisfaction at the end of the week when we could just about run back up - it definitely gets you fit!
The pool was a massive bonus, ideal for working off those extra pounds gained at the excellent local restaurants, as was the huge terrace with it's super views of the sea - a great place to enjoy a glass of vino at sunset.
The owner provided an excellent service and was always available if we had any questions or queries. She even booked a taxi to collect us and drop us back at the airport.
I would definitely recommend this flat and can only hope I am lucky enough to stay somewhere as nice with my family and friends in the future.
