Casa Rosaleda, our idea of Heaven

Casa Rosaleda was once again perfect for our holiday in the Competa area. The Villa as last time was immaculately presented and had everything we needed for the perfect break.
The position of the villa is amazing with breathtaking views,a lovely pool and only a few yards from the road down a real driveway (not a track!)
The ride to Competa or Torrox takes about 10-15 mins & we never ran out of super places to eat. (although the view from the covered area by the pool, makes eating at the villa very tempting!)
We will definitely be back.

Stayed at the villa Casa Rosaleda at the beginning of June this year 2009,its home from home everything you can think of is there for your use. The pool area is second to non (nothing like any early morning dip or a swim under the stars). Watching the sunset having a glass of wine after a perfect day is one of my best memorys. Directions and instructions to the villa very easy to understand ,although the weather was quite hot in June the villa inside was quite cool at night so there was no problem sleeping. Thanks for a fantastic holiday

What a Lovely Place and Lovely Villa

We had a wonderful holiday in Competa and found the Villa just perfect.
The information and directions that Mac supply are spot on and very helpful.
The Villa has everything and the scenery is just breathtaking - very relaxing and quiet. Torrox where the beach is , is not far and we enjoyed having a meal there and looking at all the market stalls in the evening.
Lynne and Mick the housekeepers are stars - Thank you.

A great base for a peaceful holiday

Casa Rosaleda is in a wonderful location with mountain views and a pretty garden. The villa is extremely well equipped, particularly the kitchen. The owner is very helpful before the visit and has provided lots of useful information at the villa. It's up in the mountains but shops are not that far away so the best of both worlds. It's an ideal base for walkers or those who just want to relax and use the pool. There are also places of interest fairly nearby - the caves at Nerja, Picasso Museum at Malaga, castle etc at Almunecar and the Alhambra at Granada. You definitely need a car there. There are also lots of good restaurants but we cooked for ourselves mostly because the villa facilities were so good and the fresh food was fantastic. We'd thoroughly recommend this villa and the Axarquia region of Spain.

We stayed here in August 08 and had a wonderful time. The villa is clean and extremely comfortable with everything you need. The views are stunning, remember to take your binoculars as we saw eagles!! The pool is great and has steps, so unlike some pools with ladders only, is ideal for children.
Mac the owner could not be more helpful. I would definitely recommend this villa and hope to go back myself.

The Villa was all that was expected and more. It was very clean and kept that way for all our stay, The pool was maintained on a regular basis by Mary a wonderful freindly person with plenty of knowledge of the area. This Villa is nor just for walkers but for people who want to chill out by the pool and get a good tan as we did.
Competa is 10mins by car as instructed and a wonderful little place to sit and have coffee in the square.
There was an bar just down the road owned by English people who were very friendly. They did good English meals as a change and had live entertainment at weekends.

Wow! The views are amazing! The villa is beautiful and perfect for yoga on the terrace in the morning. We found the villa well equipped and very comfortable.

Our first Spanish Holiday experience

Last year we deceided we wanted a holiday away from the hustle and bustle, somewhere that gave a relaxing no worries holiday, that had privacy but access to the places tourists like to visit.
Casa Rosaleda met with all that we wanted it is situated on the road to Competa built on the side of a mountain with spectacular views down a deep valley. The beautiful village of Competa is a short drive away with some lovely restaurants and bars used by the locals as well as the tourists. The property is well equipped and you might be tempted to just stay by the pool and forget the many places to visit. This will not be the last time we visit Spain and Casa Rosaleda will be the first place we would try to book to revisit this beautiful part of Spain.

We had a wonderful holiday here in June and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely villa; it has everything you could possibly need and is very clean and welcoming. We loved coming back to the pool after walking in the mountains or sightseeing, relaxing in its ideal position with such fabulous views and then having a barbeque in the evenings, watching the sun go down over the surrounding hills. In fact we ate every meal outside, breakfast included. There is someone close by to contact if you need to and the owner was very helpful - the instructions on how to get there were very clear and there is plenty of literature in the villa recommending good walks, places to visit and where to eat.

We thoroughly enjoyed two holidays at this villa and would recommend it to everyone.The villa is in the perfect location for peace and quiet(if you wish) but a short drive from Competa and Nerja.
The owner of this villa provides exact and easy to follow directions from Malaga airport to the villa , also directions for the supermarket. We went to the supermarket on the way to the villa buying essentials so that we could have a couple of days peace and quiet before venturing out in the car
The villa is spotless and well equipped , in fact, it`s a home from home.If there are any problems the lady who maintains the villa lives nearby and can be contacted by phone.
The area is great for driving about and the scenery is stunning
I just don`t know what else to say as this villa was for idyllic and no other words describe it . I would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a perfect holiday The villa and the pool (plus outside barbeque area ) are excellent for long, lazy days and although there are other properties about there is complete privacy without the feeling of being isolated.
PLEASE, if you are looking for a really enjoyable holiday choose this villa
