A wonderful home - so central to everything!

Our family went to Scotland and found ourselves in a lovely home with lots of room for privacy as well as great family get togethers! We travelled with three adult children, two of whom had partners with them - hence the need for some privacy. We all really enjoyed the house as well as the proximatey so to many wonderful sites - we drove west to Loch Lomond, east to Perth and St Andrews, south to Stirling castle, north to Edradour (the only original Scotch distillary still operating) and to the highlands. Crieff is so central we had our choice of so many places to visit. The owner, Brian, is a wonderful host, helpful but never intrusuve. The house was very well equipped but we particularly enjoyed the great dining table, modern appliances, the lovely garden and, believe it or not, all of the board games!
There are many original features in this lovely old home including stained glass and fantastic wide planked wood floors.
We all highly recommend this property - for a group of adults or families - even with young children.

Our stay at Lincluden

Review Submitted: September 8, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We recently spent a week at Lincluden and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is in a great place to visit the local area. There are a large number of places to visit. We managed to get to Stirling, Pitlochry (with a Highland music night), Blair castle, Loch Katrine, Loch Tay with its lovely villages. We could have done with another week!!
We were delighted with the house. It's very well-equiped and clean and extremely spacious. It's got real character and at the same time a very homely feel to it. I would thoroughly recommend a stay. And of course, the owners were very friendly and attentive.
The children loved collecting the eggs each morning!

Lincluden, Creiff

Fossal Melbourne , Australia
Review Submitted: August 31, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We stayed at Lincluden in July 09 and had a fantastic time in all respects. The home is large, welcoming and well appointed. Hosts Brian and Ann are most engaging couple who were only too pleased to assist us in any way. It is the perfect place to rest and be comfortable. Being so centrally placed in Scotland it is also perfect for tours to any destination.
Lincluden is a short walk to the shops and cafe area in the main street.
The house is perfect for several couples. I would recommend Lincluden to anyone as a home base for tours, or just for a rest in the lovely town of Creiff.

Beutiful House & Great Location

We stayed at lincluden at the last weekend in june great location, very quiet. Pictures of house do not do it justice. Very comfortable with everything you need, very spacious, we had 5 kids and 7 adults staying in the house with plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the large garden & the little cubby house and not to forget the hens. I would recommend this to friends, would even love to visit again. We had children to entertain and with books, games and the large garden to play in, we took them swimming, & a place called noah's ark which is in nearby perth, not that far away. Town centre in crieff is very nearby with lovely little shops & some nice places to eat. We never got to use the BBQ as the weather wasn't great but you have everything you need in the house it's a home from home. We all had a wonderful stay and will be back.

Very well equipped and comfortable house in quiet location. Ideal base for touring Perthshire & Tayside and walking distance from both Crieff town centre and Crieff Hydro. Plenty of space for two families to share (as we did). Fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your positive comments and rating. We’re glad you all enjoyed your holiday, and enjoyed seeing your children’s excitement as they met the chickens and planned their breakfast menu.

Great house, great setting

We stayed at Lincluden for a family half term break. It was perfect - clean, warm, and it felt like a home from home with all the books and games. It’s a lovely house in a great location, well furnished (very comfy beds) and well decorated. The garden was great for the kids to let off steam and collecting the eggs was a brilliant start to each day.

Plenty to see and do in the town and it is only five minutes walk as it says on the website. Lots of information in the house about places to go. We had a lovely stroll along Lady Mary’s Walk by the River Earn and had a (quick) picnic on one of the carved benches. Lunch at the Crieff Hydro was good and so near we went back for a round of golf.

The owner Brian was very helpful and had a roaring fire going when we arrived.

We’ll be back in the autumn with the grandparents – there’s plenty of room for us all.

Owner's Response: We are very grateful for such a lovely review, we aim to keep Lincluden clean, comfortable and welcoming and are always pleased to hear that guests have enjoyed their stay at Lincluden. There’s lots more to do in the beautiful countryside around Crieff and we hope you’ll enjoy it when you return in the autumn.
