Reviews of Property: very sunny flat with view over the Landwehrkanal. Non-smoking apartment

Piacevole, luminoso e confortevole: ecco le parole per definire l'appartamento Die Bruecke composto da due comode camere, una grande sala con finestre sul canale e sul ponte, un angolo cottura dotato di tutto ciò che serve e anche qualcosa in più, due bagni arredati con gusto e cura. Un appartamento non solo per frettolosi turisti che vi rientrano solo la sera ma anche per chi vuole trascorrere un soggiorno prolungato a Berlino. Il centro storico e l'Isola dei Musei sono a pochi minuti di metropolitana e il quartiere è un curioso e affascinante miscuglio di Oriente e Occidente. Sul ponte ogni sera decine di giovani si ritrovano per passare piacevoli serate in compagnia e per esibirsi in svariate performance artistiche; anche se può sembrare strano, ciò avviene nel più completo rispetto della tranquillità notturna.
A tutto questo sia aggiunge l'attenzione con cui Gabrella sa prendersi cura dei suoi ospiti, da vera italiana.....

I would recommend this flat to anyone planning a stay in Berlin. We were a party of three adults and absolutely loved the comfort of the flat as well as the beautiful neighborhood. Don't let those tour books discourage you from staying in Kreuzberg. I felt extremely safe and the neighborhood was filled will life as well as fantastic eateries. My favorite was a vegetarian restraurant called Avril...I couldn't get enough of it. There is a lot of activity on the bridge at night, so if you don't like people watching, this is not the place for you. We loved it. There was music being performed on any given night and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. Don't let it scare you though...it was still very quiet from inside our flat. The windows are doubled and we couldn't hear a peep if we shut everything up. Our stay was in the spring, so the weather was perfect for opening up the windows and enjoying the gorgous view.

Gabriella was great to us. The flat was spotless and bright. She left us on our own and we had a marvelous time.

On a side note, my husband is almost completely blind, so negotiating new areas can be a challenge. There was no problem for him. The trains are close, the sidewalks even and the people friendly. He had the lay of the land within a few days. (Although, he might of had a harder time without us to help him...bikes and people are everywhere!).

Thanks to Gabriella for an excellent stay and for representing your flat exactly as it was. I think that you would be crazy not to stay here!

The flat is very comfortable, very big, very well heated (it was snowing outside during my stay), and very sunny (you can see boats and geese on the canal). It has just been redecorated. At the same time it is extremely quiet and I was able to work without being disturbed. The description is very accurate, the property was extremely clean and the owner was punctual and helpful. I would recommend it to anybody, up to 4 people. There is a nice Italian restaurant just the other side of the street (passed the bridge) and several good restaurants (Indian, Turkish, etc.) in the neighborhood. Excellent BIO MARKT (biological food etc.) in Kottbusser Damm n. 4, three minutes from the house and two supermarkets. If you need an Internet point go to the nice Turkish kids at "Miro" in Böchnstrasse n. 50, 80 cents an hour, open from 11 AM to midnight (and they sell good beer!). Very near two subway stations. The area is very nice for walks on the canal.

Alles war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit, ruhige Lage mit wunderschönem Blick, alles sehr sauber, warme Betten im kalten Berlin, super freundlicher Empfang und sehr zuverlässige und pünktliche Wohnungseigentümerin mit Herz und Charme! Wir kommen wieder, versprochen!

Wir waren 2 Wochen hier, in wechselnder Besetzung: Eltern, Sohn (19) mit Freundin (19), zwei Freundinnen (22, 44).

Unsere Vermieterin hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen, sie war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

In dieser geräumigen Wohnung haben wir uns jeweils zu zweit, dritt oder viert bestens wohlgefühlt. Wir hatten zwei Schlüssel, so dass wir Berlin auch getrennt erkunden konnten. Die Wohnung ist hell und hat ein schönes Ambiente. Die Decken sind 3,50 m hoch und mit Stuck verziert. Die beiden Bäder waren sehr praktisch. Als wir kamen, war die Wohnung supersauber.

Die Lage ist ideal, ruhig und trotzdem mitten im Leben. Zum Kotti (U1, U8) sind es zu Fuß gerade mal 5 Minuten. Das Nachtleben auf der Admiralbrücke hörten wir auch bei offenem Fenster eher als ein freundliches Gemurmel.

Beim türkischen Bäcker um die Ecke gab es 1a Croissants und Schrippen, im Naturkostladen nebenan Roggenvollkornbrot. Die Spätläden in der Gegend haben wahrscheinlich rund um die Uhr geöffnet, wir konnten aber auch in unserem eigenen Kühlschrank Getränke kalt stellen. Am Kotti sorgen türkische Gemüsestände für den täglichen Vitaminschub. Es hat dort auch einen Kaiser's Supermarkt.

Zum Essengehen können wir auf der anderen Seite der Brücke die Pizzeria Il Casolare und das Eiscafe Isabel uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir waren auch sehr gut und preiswert libanesisch essen bei Maroush in der Adalbertstraße (z. B. Falafelteller auf Bierbänken) oder lecker persisch im Safran in der Oranienstraße.

Wir hatten zusätzliche Badetücher und ein CD-Radio dabei, nächstes Mal kommt noch ein Wasserkocher für die Teetrinker mit. Sonst hat es uns an nichts gefehlt.

So sehr wir diese Wohnung empfehlen können, hoffen wir doch, dass sie wieder frei sein wird, wenn wir nach Berlin fahren wollen.

Wir haben mit unseren zwei Kindern (7 und 10 Jahre alt) eine Woche im Sommer in dieser Wohnung verbracht und uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir wurden von der Vermieterin freundlich empfangen, alles war sauber und gut eingerichtet. Die Lage direkt am Landwehrkanal ist sehr schön, die anliegenden Straßen sind verkehrsberuhigt und daher ist es auch sehr ruhig. Obwohl mehrere Parteien im Haus wohnen, haben wir von den anderen Mietern nie etwas gehört. Auf der Admiralsbrücke ist abends bei gutem Wetter immer was los, dort ist ein beliebter Treffpunkt. Es hat uns aber nicht gestört, wir fanden es eher interessant die Leute zu beobachten. Unsere Kinder fanden am tollsten, dass gleich auf der anderen Straßenseite eine leckere Eisdiele war. Außerdem ist dort auch eine Pizzeria, die wir jedoch nicht besucht haben. Etwa 300 m entfernt ist auch ein Spielplatz. Wenn man durch Kreuzberg schlendert, entdeckt man viele Spielplätze, daher ist dieser Stadtteil durchaus für Familien geeignet.

Man sollte bedenken, dass in der Wohnung weder ein Fernseher, noch ein Radio vorhanden sind. Der fehlende Fernseher hat uns nicht sehr gestört, wir waren ja doch die meiste Zeit des Tages unterwegs, aber ein Radio wäre schon nicht schlecht gewesen, und sei es nur, um den Wetterbericht zu hören. Daher würde ich empfehlen, ein kleines Radio mitzunehmen, das erleichtert wettermäßig die Planung für die Urlaubstage. Wer wie wir mehrere Tage in der Wohnung bleiben möchte, sollte eventuell vorher mit der Vermieterin besprechen, wenn man mehr als ein normales und ein Badetuch pro Person haben möchte.

Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen diese Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter!
