Great apartment, very clean and well equiped. Owners are on hand and really care about their clients, the personal touch makes all the difference. The location is quiet, but not remote, spectacular views, ski in and ski out if you cross the road. Le Brassero was difficult to ski past though, you might even get to hear Pete play the bongos! The beer and food are great too. We went paragliding which was fun and worth a try. Tignes is a fantastic place to ski, we went to every corner of Tignes and Val d'Isere both on and off piste and would recommend the resort as a destination for all abilities. I have no hesitation in recommending you to stay in Clem and Pete's apartments, you won't go wrong if you do.

relaxing well located apartment

It did help that I was given a last minute free upgrade to this apartment that is much more spacious than the one I was to rent. Thanks for that Clem!
The bunks are in an alcove which make them feel less corridor-ish, and having a door into the sitting room to cut off some of the noise and light when I was up later than the kids, although some noise comes through he serving hatch.
The kitchen had more than the usual amount of equipment and crockery and everything worked well. The DVD player and flat screen were lovely, and the baby sitter (which I arranged separately) liked having the Wi-Fi.
The ski locker is a bit cramped but it is handy having it downstairs (you have to go down a few steps and wind around a bit to get to it from the front entrance).
The balcony was lovely and sunny.
All local facilities were nice and close, and it is a very easy (green and pisted though not a piste) ski back to the apartment block. You can ski down to the lifts from opposite the bus stop. Buses run frequently to the rest of Tignes.
The local Sherpa food shop has a great selection, even for special diets. We found tofu, soya milk, dairy-free cream, nutritional yeast flakes, soya yogurt and custard, amongst many other vegan-friendly products, including a great range of fresh fruit and vegetables, some of which were organic.
A selection of ski hire shops and the lift pass shops are also near by, as is the bus stop. The only noise you get is from others in this huge apartment block. So that is luck of the draw in terms of who is next door or loud in the corridors / on balconies. The floors are solid and thick so there is not much vertical noise travel.
It would be great if Tignes could sort out its dog poo problem though - it's everywhere! All the same Tignes is my favourite resort for both family and expert skiing. I heartily recommend the Ultimate Ski School - a small British school with small class sizes which the kids excelled in.
The owner was in resort and very responsive by text if we had any problems. We had a fabulous holiday and would love to stay there again.

The apartment was great, just what we wanted. We are a family of 6 so our 2 eldest boys slept in the lounge using the sofa beds whilst the 2 youngest blagged the bunks! And our separate double room was a welcome retreat after dinner to read books and catchup on our emails using the inclusive wifi.

The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived and everything worked as described. We loved the Piste Map on the wall as it meant we could plan our ski-ing in the evening for some long trips across to Val the next day. The ski-ing is excellent and we had great snow and sun. The whole resort area caters well for beginners through to advanced. You can also ski the Val d'Isere region.

Throughout our booking and our subsequent stay Clem, the owner couldn't have been more helpful. When we got there we bumped into her (lovely to meet you, Clem) and she helped familiarise us with Le Lavachet. Although tucked away at the furthest point from the ski-ing centre the area is well serviced with 2 main lifts out and one ski run in. A 5 minute walk in the morning gets you to the main lifts and in the evening you can ski to the door. Gin and tonics on the balcony in the evening sun were perfect!

We didn't go out much but we did have a lovely meal at Le Brasero, a lively bar just round the corner. All the staff seemed to be British and were really fun and helpful - burger specials recommended and Happy Hour from 4-6pm every night. They offer major Sports events on Sky and 3 nights a week there is live music in the bar.

Ski and boot rentals were round the corner at Mick & Bobs Sports. They are French but speak reasonable English and were very helpful. You are best to make your booking for skis before you go - we used Snowrental and got 50% off their prices so make sure you book before you go. We made a mistake but cancelled and re-booked using the WiFi access in the apartment and still got our 50% discount for the altered booking. Otherwise you pay full price for everything in the shop. (Take a laptop!)

This year we drove - it's about 10 hours from Calais and we spent a night in Chambery before driving up the following morning.

All in all we had a fantastic time - this apartment is highly recommended.

good value for money accomodation. Basic, well maintained and small but big enought for 5-6 people. Good location with all amineties within close walking distance and shuttle bus that takes you straights to the main area of resorts where all the main lifts are. Loved Tignes and would definetly like to come back.

Excellent value for money, nicely furnished and well-equipped for self-catering. A much quieter location than most places in Val Claret or Le Lac, and a fantastic view from the window. A bit cramped for 5 people - more suited to 3/4 really - but we were a group of 5 and managed fine.

Third time in Tignes in this apartment.Always excellent.Description accurate and reliable. Location ideal for transport and bars. Le Lavachet is comfortable and accessible and at this time of year quiet and very family friendly. Access to slopes is easy and requires little walking. Views from flats are simply stunning.

Great value for money - adequately sized for 5/6 guests. Clean, simple and well equipped - piste map on the wall an excellent idea!

Owner communication excellent and close by during stay if any issues arose - which they didn't.

Although on edge of resort regular bus service was excellent - approx 3 mins to La Lac and one of the best places to drink/eat/apres ski in the whole of Tignes at Le Brasero (superb live music 3 during happy hour).

We booked the car park space which was a bargain - but the La Lavachet parking is literally 150m from the front of the complex.

My boyfriend and I had an excellent week in Tignes staying at the studio apartment. The location is great, Le Lavachet has everything you could need and its very close to the ski lifts. The apartment was really clean and cosy with amazing views of the mountains and the lake below. Would certainly not hesitate in recommending it as a place to stay and would hope to return next year.

A very comfortable, warm, cosy and well equipped apartment, ingeniously designed to make maximum use of every inch of space. We slept 5 adults in comfort, and had a great time.

Love Tignes, best ski resort so far (others were Les Menuires & Le Plagne) with superb wide slopes to choose for both beginners and experienced skiers. Great to be able to ski to front door.

Highly recommend your apartment to self caterers.
