An enchanting holiday in the Jalon Valley

We spent a delightful fortnight with friends at the Rincon de las Aves in October. The property is situated in a lovely quiet spot along the banks of a river bed, surrounded by trees, with mountains in the background. A short pleasant walk through the outskirts of Alcalali brings you to the centre of the village where there are several shops, cafes and a choice of local restaurants, ideal for you to enjoy a morning coffee, an afternoon tea or a delicious evening meal. The Spanish style house is well appointed, having all home comforts and a garden with a first-rate swimming pool where you can barbeque and completely relax. Everything is provided to make your stay a really memorable experience.

Unspoilt Spain

We already knew and liked this area but wanted to find a villa that was within easy walking distance of a village. Too often we've stayed in places where you need to get in the car just to buy a loaf of bread.

This property was exactly what we were looking for. I'm glad that we arrived when it was still light, as it is a little tucked away down a narrow road, but once we opened the door we were enchanted. The accommodation is very well appointed with plenty of space to relax. It is well furnished and we loved the decor. It is in a most peaceful, rustic setting, yet the village of Alcalali is only a ten minute walk away.

The villa was clean and well maintained. We were particularly impressed with the hot water system which has not been as reliable in other properties we have rented in the past.

The owner provided very good advice and customer service. We would certainly book this property again.

Great villa and location

The minute i opened the front door i loved it.
The villa is having everything you need. It's a great location. I'ts exactly as you can see on the pictures and even better. It's rural, quiet and privat. Nobody can see in the garden. Pool is great. Kids spend most of the time in there because the 2 weeks in August, we spent there, where quite hot.
Alcalali is a nice village with a few restaurants.People are very friendly. Also the other villages around are worth to visit and explore. If you like spain and don't need to be right at the beach you will love this area and 100% the villa too.
We enjoyed every minute at the villa and I tell you, it's worth a visit.
For the next visitor : Have a great time in alcalali at Rincon de las Aves!!!

An exeptional property

Review Submitted: May 28, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
Our holiday in Spain is over, and we can look back to a memorable stay in your lovely house in Alcalali. The atmosphere at Rincon de Las Aves and the beautiful surroundings made this stay exeptional. One could really feel the love you have put into this very special property. We were so fascinated by the little tame bird and the two spanish bulls at the back! Even though the weather was not the best (February), we - and our visiting guests - enjoyed every minute in the house. Alcalali is indeed a hidden treasure, very pitoresque. The restaurants are great! The relaxed athmosphere, friendly people and beautiful scenery was a perfect setting to a wonderful holiday. Amazing to have such peace and quiet, yet close to the busy coast!

wonderfull time in Rincon de las Aves

We stayed for a week in Rincon de las Aves with 6 adult people. Having 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms the house was very comfortable for our group. The house has a wonderfull atmosphere and is spacious. It is quietly located but within walking distance of the village. The Costa Blanca coast is within reach. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood, and the closest bigger supermarket can be found in the neighbouring village of Jalon/Xalo.
