Great Stay!!

Summerhouse

We really enjoyed our stay in the Summerhouse this year. It is a superb base for trips to the Jurrassic coast, the beaches of Bournemouth, Poole and the rural Dorset countryside.
The Summerhouse is very well maintained, equipped and very clean. The house and it's surrounding offer a lot of privacy and the owner Mrs. Brickwood is very friendly and helpfull. There is also a lot of space outside for children to play.

Nice rural cottage

We stayed one week in early september in The Stables.
It is a very nice cottage with all the amenities you need.
Within 45 minutes reach by car there is a lot to see.
The 2 nearbye pubs offer good food for a very reasonable price.
Overall good value for money.

The Stables

A beautifully appointed property. A paradise for any lovers of horses. Quite rural, but not as peaceful as I had hoped.
Very nice people to deal with. The poor mobile phone reception is more than adequately covered by the landline in each property.

We had a very nice time at The Stables. Situated in the lovely countryside, with lots of things to do and see in the area. A very cozy, but complete cottage. A nice terrace, with a view on the horses. And last but not least, a very kind and helpful owner!

English Hospitality at it's best.

Recently we had the pleasure of staying at The Stables in Dorset and we had the best holiday there. The owners were cheerful, helpful and welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The property was very clean and well appointed with TV washing machine and dryer and dishwasher - home from home in fact and very comfortable.

Dorset is a wonderful county with some of the best places to visit in England and some beautifull scenery and a very peaceful place to be. If you like walking then there are some good walks fairly close by. There is also a great typical English local pub where the food is pretty good.

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Stables at Meadow Cottage to anyone who wants to experience quiet rural England with easy access to other counties in the south of England. We hope to return again soon.

The Great British Getaway

I had a great holiday in Dorset and it was mainly down to me staying at the Stables at Meadow Cottage. The Stables was supplied with everything I needed for my stay, TV, seating area and somewhere to cook any meal I did and it was very clean and tidy. Meadow Cottage is located in the lovely part of the Dorset countryside and ideally located to get around to visit the many attractions around Dorset. Even if the weather got very British, The Stables was a nice place to stay in and read a book or watch TV. The owners where great, very friendly, very helpful and it was priced very well.

I highly recommend Meadow cottage to anyone who is looking for a UK holiday. The only small negative point I could make about the Stables, that the bedroom ceiling is low, so anyone with problems getting in and out of bed, would have an issue. As I don't have a problem getting in and out of bed, it wasn't an issue for and if someone did, I'll tell to book the Summerhouse instead. I just hope I can manage to book the place for my holiday next year.
