Dear Javier and Josefina,

I wanted to write to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Madrid,
in your beautiful apartment. Everything went according to plan and we
had a great time. We took taxis around as you recommended and it was on
our very last trip back that the driver finally understood my
pronunciation of Cea Bermudis, without looking at it in writing! I was very
pleased with myself. The apartment's location was excellent and we found the
local tapas bar around the corner as a daily visit. We would certainly
recommend your apartment to anyone we know travelling to Madrid
(including us should we return!)

Many thanks for your assistance and making everything so easy for us

Cheers ... Marion (2006 sep 17th)

Nice Apartment close to center of city

Review Submitted: October 19, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had a great stay and the apartment which was as advertised. It’s in a safe neighborhood close to Canal Metro station which gives you easy access to Sol, Gran Via and other tourist destinations. Nothing fancy but clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staying here versus a hotel gave us a much better feel for what day to day live is like in Madrid. Supermarket next store is convenient and there are many local taverns and restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the wine and tapas bar a few blocks down on the left hand side of Cea Bermudis street. I’d recommend Aerocity service for transportation to and from the airport. Landlords were great, communication, reservation and check in and out process all went smoothly. Thanks for a great experience

Great City Centre Madrid Apartment

Review Submitted: November 15, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
The apartment was great and certainly lived up to its description. It was able to accommodate our parents as well as our children and we still had room to spread out. It was clean and well-maintained. The owner was friendly and very helpful as he was very familiar with the neighborhood and facilities nearby. It was great having a supermarket so close as well as the metro which we took everywhere. There's an incredible park that is suitable for more than just children. We frequented it often and it was one of the kids favorite places. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

It's in a nice area but quite a walk to the city centre. If you're happy to use the metro it's quite convenient though as it is a short walk to Canal station which takes you straight to Sol or Retiro quickly without changes.

It was spacious and great for all the family getting together but if your child / baby sleeps lightly it can be a bit tricky as noise carries a lot in this block and there is a constantly howling dog in a nearby apartment and the lift is noisy. Also the floorboards and doors are very creaky.

But if you're not too worried about these sort of noises it is a great apartment. One particularly good thing is that it is well stocked with everything you might need (it didn't have a can opener tho when we went which was a big headache for about 10 minutes til we located one in the shop next door - so it does have one now!)

The shop next door is really useful too. But, if you are taking a baby / young child be aware that fresh milk is a rarity and unless they'll happily go to sleep with a bottle of UHT milk (which mine wouldn't) you could be up half the night. Anyway - that's nothing to do with the apartment.

So in summary - NIce area, convenient for metro into city, well stocked, spacious and clean, bit noisy. Oh and the landlord was great. We had to change our check out time last minute when our child was ill and they were really helpful about it and didn't charge extra - i was impressed by that.

Dear Javier Many thanks once again for a very restful holiday in your Madrid apartment.Everything was perfect and much appreciated by us all. The Supersol supermarket right outside the front door was a real bonus and had everything we could wish for and open all hours except Sunday. The apartment was very sunny and again we appreciated the quality of the beds which are top class, as in your Sitges apartment. The apartment was very well equipped and had everyday requirements such as sugar, salt, pepper etfc and lots of toiletries which were much appreciated when you first arrive. Thankyou for all your help while we were there.
Kind regards to you both. Rosalinde and Brian

A vert good value and a GREAT landlord

Dear Madrid Travelers,

The apartment was as advertised and we considered it to be a very good value. My wife and I shared the apartment with another couple and we all enjoyed our stay very much since Madrid is a wonderful city to visit.

We were unable to get the wireless access to the internet to work, so we plugged our cat-5 cable into the router and thus had access to email, etc.

The landlord was very prompt and a delight to deal with. We took good care of the property and received a full refund.

One hint: if you arrive or leave from the airport taking the #8 (Airport) metro and then a cab to and from the metro station at Nuevo Ministeros to the apartment will save you much time and euros.

Second hint:There is a small supermarket complete with a butcher and fair supply of vino only 20 meters from the front door of the apartment building.

All in all, highly recommended and I have recommended this apartment to friends. The landlord has another, smaller apartment in Barcelona that we plan to rent in the next year or two.

Great apartment

I stayed in this apartment with 5 other family members, it's a great apartment in a very good area, just a few metro stops from Sol, the metro station is only a few minutes walk.
The apartment is very bright and spacious, very comfortable and clean. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds with lovely clean, fresh linen.
My only complaint would be (and it's a very small complaint) is that the kitchen cupboards and drawers could do with a spring clean and the crockery and utensils need renewed.
I would definately recommend this property for a stay in Madrid. The price and location are fab!

Madrid war es wert

Retiro Dresden, Sachsen, Deutschland
Review Submitted: April 17, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
