A fabulous get-a-way

Belle du jour London

Now that Ryanair flies to Beziers Cap d'Agde, this place is a wonderful getaway for a weekend or longer. The house, once two typical French village houses, is on the edge of the village and surrounded by the vineyards of Fauger. It is now converted into one spacious, stylish home by the artist owners. The rooms are large, airy and very clean with cotton sheets and fluffy towels. A superb breakfast on the terrace with everything you could want - cereals, fresh bread & croissants, fresh fruit, yogurts and of course, fresh coffee. Anything else and you only have to ask. The garden and secluded pool are a delight - have your lunch here or a late night dip to the sound of cicadas. A great place to chill and relax or wander further afield to local vineyards or neighbouring towns. Fabulous seafood, beaches and the wonderful Canal du Midi is a short drive away. Derek & Wendy could not be more welcoming or helpful. All in all, mervilleux!
Shhh ....keep it a secret or they'll all want to go.

It was our first visit in the region, and Laurens is wery easy to find, coming from Montpellier airport. The village is a good base for sightseeing, restaurants and places to visit.
Wendy and Derek are the most fantastic hostes. Warm and welcomming and very helpfull. We enjoyed beeing a part of the family at the annual "fete du village". We really enjoyed the wonderfull house, tastfully interieur and nice clean swimming pool.
The room (bedroom 2) was large enough for 3 adults and the private bathroom was beautifull.

The luxurios healthy breakfast on the lovely terrace with everything you could wish for - cereals, fresh fruit, juices, a selection off teas and fresh croissants made us feel capable for the whole day.

The familiar atmosphere around the morning table, where the daily program was made, and the late nigtht evaluation, allways offered a glass of wine, was really great.

You will not regret a visit at Wendy and Derek.

Hope to come back some time in the future.

Lots of love Kirsten and Peter

We (2 adults and 2 children) enjoyed every minute at the house with Derek & Wendy. The hosts made us feel very wellcome and offered great tips on sights to see, places to visit and restaurants to eat. The whole house was at our disposal, making us feel like we had rented our own private villa with swimming pool! In the morning there was always time for a breakfast chat whilst enjoying daily fresh croissants, baguette, coffee and all kinds of juices. Bella (the family pet) was such a lovely and gentle friend to our little dog who was as wellcome as we were. Derek & Wendy offer superb quality in a charming and relaxing village in France 's countryside. We will most certainly come back to the region and will not hesitate to book again at their holiday house.

It was my husbands and my first time in France and we were with our daughter and son in law. Wendy and Derek were the most excellent hosts. We felt so at home and they made our stay awesome. They told us the places to see and how to get there. They welcomed us to use the pool and it felt so private because of the location of the house to the pool. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were so comfortable. We can't wait to go back!

A Great Place To Stay

Our family (2 adults/2 children 10 and 8) spent five nights here. It was a much welcome break and provided a good base for our stay. The rooms were very clean and airy though lacking a television. The pool was definitely a bonus during the hot weather - the kids loved it. Breakfast was served on the terrace and provided plenty of variety with traditional bread/croissants and fresh fruit, cereals, etc. We were lucky to arrive on the monthly Jazz Night which was a bonus. Wendy and Derek made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and were given the royal treatment. We arrived to a beautifully made up and clean room and helped at every step of the way with friendly advice on where to eat and places to visit. The breakfast was a lovely spread of fresh and local foods, and the pool was divine. We have nothing but good things to say about Wendy and Derek and their lovely place and would strongly recommend them to anyone who loves fine things.
