No better Location for the Heart Of Old Antibes

Shaz & Rich London SE3
Review Submitted: August 9, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Having booked last minute we did not expect to find the prfect accommodation avaialable - we were wrong. This fantastic studio appartment was in the heart of old Antibes with evrything you need a few steps outsdie the door. When inside the studio was very clean quiet (as it faced the back of the building) modern fixtures and fittings and a great shower. The location is a walk to the numerous beaches, restaurants the harbour, the market is 'on the doors step' the buses at a Euro anywhere are a must for exploring so save on the taxis. Biot village is a must for a day out. Connie the owners local rep was a font of knowledge with recommendations and rescued my wifes curly hair by delinvering a hairdryer to save the day!

Highly recommended - like many others who have reviewed we will be back.
Owner's Response: Many thanks for the kind words!
We are really delighted you enjoyed your stay in our little apartment and hope you can visit again.

Fantastic apartment

Can not be more positive about the apartment; I know Antibes very well and the aprtment is located in the dead centre of the old town - the Provencal market is literally on the door step and the nearest bars and restaurants, mainly patronised by locals rather than tourists, are less then a stagger away...maybe 20 metres !! The apartment is double glazed and looks over a cul-de-sac so is very quiet.
The photos do not do the apartment justice - it is large, light and airy. The bed (a fold down, which we didn't fold up as it became a second sofa by day) is comfy and the kitchen well appointed and new (I think we were the first people to use the oven...).And my girlfriend, who runs ger own business found the easy to access wifi very useful too. The apartment is three floors up, but my Father - who met us in Antibes, is 73 and he managed the stairs with no problem.
The owner is easily contactable and very easy to contract with, my deposit was returned in 2 days after return home. And the local agent is friendly, easily contactable and clearly cared that we had a great holiday.
To summarise - I love Antibes and will 100% certainly be using the apartment again as a base....there's nothing better than leaving the quiet of the flat, and within seconds being in the middle of the bustle of the market, a minute from the centre of the Old Town and three minutes from the beach.....

on arriving in antibes we were pleasantly surprised by the studio apartment until we went to sleep we had to be moved the next day due to numerous insect bites and being kept awake all nite being bitten. On contacting the agent Connie, who is lovely, we were moved to a beautiful apartment across the landing, but were informed that this had happened to another person in the summer and the studio had been fumigated. Hopefully this problem will have been resolved as the location of the studio is excellent and we had a brilliant time!
Owner's Response: Scoring us 1/5 is unreasonably harsh in this case. One of the guests had been bitten by insects and we immediately responded by transferring them hassle free into a far superior property. As a precaution the apartment was professionally fumigated and all subsequent guests have happily reported that they had no problems with insect bites.
I accept that it was not a perfect stay but having a 'brilliant time' in a 'beautiful apartment' in an 'excellent' location surely is worth 3 or 4 out of 5.

The perfect spot in Old Antibes

Review Submitted: October 9, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
The location of this apartment could not be better. The property overlooks the quieter side of the old town but the front door opens directly into the Provencal market which is there six days a week. Wonderful! The beaches, the Picasso museum and many excellent restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The owner supplied us with all the necessary information to make our stay extra enjoyable. Two additional bath size towels would have been appreciated but otherwise the flat was very well equipped.

Having been to Antibes previously, I was already familiar with the weather, life style etc so no suprises there, the plesant suprise however was our accommadation when we arrived! Clean, spacious and larger than we had anticipated. Additionally the bathroom and kitchen are a good size. The kitchen is fitted with washing machine and dishwasher should you need them. Situated in Antibes old town it is perfectly located for the local beach and bars resturants in Antibes old town.

Can strongly recommend
Owner's Response: Thanks for the review! Really pleased you enjoyed it.

Very good stay overall. Location is excellent, next to the market in the heart of the old town and near the sea.

Flat very clean and modern with everything you'll need.

Handover and checkout well managed. Deposit returned promptly.

No problems at all - would definitely recommend.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the review!

Perfect spot in the old town

Our stay here was amazing. The apartment was wonderfully bright and clean yet is located in an old building with character in the heart of the old town. The window looks out over the rooftops above a quiet street so you are nicely insulated from all the husssle and bussle of the daily market (with lovely local fruit and veg) and cafes which are right on the doorstep on the other side of the building. Then it is only a couple of minutes walk to a choice of local beaches. Perfect!!
