We have recently returned from a beautiful week in Il Casaleto in the lovely village of Torricela, the villa was exactly as we had imagined (and hoped) it would be, the authenticity of the farmhouse and the outstanding setting made our holiday right from the start. We would recommend this holiday to anybody wishing for a quiet holiday in authentic Italy yet still in striking distance of major cities and attractions. We will return soon, for longer next time!

We have just spent our fourth annual holiday in Toricella; we have stayed in both houses and we cannot recommend to you highly enough the perfection of a stay in either property! ... the kindness and generosity of the hosts together with the perfect tranquility of the gardens were perfect; you MUST try this wonderful holiday experience - the pool, the gardens, the houses all PERFEC!

Wonderful Il Casaletto

Our family (this year expanded to ten) have recently returned from a second visit to Il Casaletto in Torricella, and all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The house, grounds, pool etc are perfect for a large family group, and there are shops, bars, restaurants within easy walking distance - a definite plus! The surrounding area has much to offer, and Rome, Tivoli etc are easy to reach. Giuliana is a wonderful hostess - always ready to provide advice and guidance, but never intrusive. All in all a wonderful place to spend two weeks with the family.

This villa is excellent in all areas; it is a fantastic building lots of charecter and space, location; in a beautiful village in a splendid region and the owners go out of their way to make you feel at home (without getting in your face).
Some may find it a little remote others will love it for this.
Overall a first class villa, highly recomended.

Il Casaletto

J.J. & Co. Sutton Coldfield
Review Submitted: June 2, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
We had a very enjoyable holiday staying in Il Casaletto - we are a family of 4 with 2 teenage children. A great place to stay for either just relaxing by the pool, or as a base for sightseeing. Giuliana was an excellent host, welcoming us with home made limoncello (which went down a treat with my 18 year old son), a bottle of wine, and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the best places to visit. Her excellent English made life much easier than trying to cope with my one or two words of Italian and sign language. The village shops and post office are within easy walking distance, and most things can be bought in the small supermaket. Making pizza in the traditional pizza oven is a must. We only had a week, but could have happily stayed longer. We spent a lot of time in Rome, and still didn't see everything there, and there are plenty of places in the area around Il Casaletto we would have liked to visit but didn't have time. I think we will have to go again - I would not hesitate to return to Il Casaletto. It had everything we needed. The whole experience was extremely well run right from our first enquiry, through the booking process, and clear map and instructions on how to get there, to always available, but never intrusive help throughout our stay.

Our party was made up of 4 "Seniors" (Should have been 5 but 1 had to work instead!). It is a wonderful house with everything you could want for a perfect holiday. The local village has a fabulous butcher and very good restaurants too. There is so much to do in the area that you would never struggle for things to do or you could be very happy to stay by the pool. The owner Guilianna is very helpful and speaks good English. Highly recommend this property

Il Casaletto (Larger Villa)

2 families West Midlands, England.
Review Submitted: May 23, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
Our two families had a wonderful time in Toricella. The villa was exceptionally good, well equipped and very clean. Guiliana looked after us extremely well and even gave us a lesson in making home made pizza to go in the villas pizza oven with fantastic results! The village is a short walk away with enough local shops to get provisions including an excellent butchers. Evening walks down to the local bar to get ice creams - what more could you want! Guiliana was an excellent source of tourist information and gave us lots of ideas for days out. We would thoroughly recommend the villa and hope to return one day soon.

My family of 7 mixed ages, teens to grandparents love this house and location.Easy for Rome sightseeing, mountains, lakes and pretty towns. What more could you want! Oh yes a beautiful pool and gardens. The owners are helpful and on hand if you need anything and Guiliana speaks ENGLISH.
Lots of room in the house so never feels crowded. It's a hidden gem in the Sabina hills.
Visited it in 2006 and going back next week. Can't wait!
Please try it yourself.
