Relaxing Family Holiday April 08

Matt & Hil Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire. UK
Review Submitted: October 6, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
We had a fantastic time in Cyprus - due mainly to the excellent villa, 'Antigone'. It was just as we hoped (i.e. as described, if not better).

We enjoyed it so much we barely ventured from the villa to do any sightseeing, mainly due to the fantastic pool.

We were very impressed with the quality of the villa, its facilities, maintenance and location. We had such a good time - both us and the children have talked about returning to the villa next year ! Grannie and Grumps joined us half way through our stay and they were very impressed too ! A perfect relaxing break...

we stayed in villa antigone in september 2009 and had a brilliant time. The villa is exactly as in the photos and very clean and well maintained. I would strongly recommend this villa to anybody. The children loved the pool and the fact they could chat to their friends at home on the internet. Every contact we had with the owners was dealt with quickly and efficiently and we will definitely be returning.

Beautiful Villa

The villa was very comfortable and clean, we were provided with an excellent welcome pack. The booking process was painless and Jan was very helpful. We decided to pay to have the pool heated and it was well worth it. A car is essential and we missed not being able to walk to a shop or restaurant but when we drove out to Paphos which took 15 mins there was an abundance of restaurants and shops. The golf at Aphrodite Hills was good and the restaurants and ambiance there was great. We really felt relaxed the weather was excellent and the villa had everything you could possibly want.

A Fantastic Summer Holiday

Holiday Junkie England
Review Submitted: September 19, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We were fortunate to stop at Villa Antigone for 3 weeks over the summer. The villa is beautifully decorated with lots of internal space - there were 6 of us for 10 days and it did not feel cramped at all. All the facilities are modern and the villa is equipped with everything that you require for a great holiday. The views from the bedrooms over the sea and the mountains are a great way to start the day and sitting out on the balcony with a bottle of wine is an even better way to finish! The area surrounding the villa is very quiet, which was just what we wanted. There is no local shop or restaurant in walking distance so you will need a car; but Paphos is only a 15 minute drive and the airport is only 10 mins away. The children loved the pool and having the air conditioning included as part of the rental price was an added bonus. We would have no hesitation in using the villa again or in recommending it to friends.

Home From Home

Everything that was described about the villa was spot on and we felt at home the moment we stepped through the door. The information pack in the villa gave details about how to use all the appliances so we never had to figure out anything for ourselves. Its Location is great - about 10 mins drive from Pissouri Village and 15 mins from Paphos set in the hills in Secret Valley. Within half an hour of arriving we were making use of the heated pool which was the warmest I have been in when renting villas. Although the weather wasnt too kind to us and it was very cold outside of a night the villa had ample heating and was very cosy in the evening. When the weather was good, we loved to sit on the balcony overlooking the pool and watch the sunset with our " happy hour" cocktails ! I would definately recommend this villa for a family holiday and looking forward to returning again.

Villa Antigone

Review Submitted: October 28, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Villa Antigone is a very pretty villa and had everything we needed for our holiday. We particularly wanted to chill and it was well worth having the pool heated for our stay on October. There are no restaurants at Secret Valley but there are an abundance only a short drive away and there are lots of details of these at the villa. Jan gave us an excellent level of customer service and we would definitely recommend the villa to friends. It was just perfect for a romantic chill but is also in a good location for sight seeing if you can drag yourself away from the villa!

The villa is very impressive, beautifully decorated and wonderfully spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and in fact wish we had booked for longer. It was certainly worth getting the pool heated and I wouldn’t hesitate in encouraging future guests to pay the supplement, it is worth every penny! We loved the BBQ, and the outdoor fridge is a brilliant idea for a party.

The information pack provided was very comprehensive and really useful. I would also thoroughly recommend the restaurants at Aphrodite Hills where you can also get great take away pizza and pasta.

It is a shame that there are no facilities at Secret Valley, this made it difficult for us in the evening with the baby as we couldn’t walk to a bar or restaurant with her in the buggy.

The only thing we missed in the villa was music, it would have been great to be able to connect the ipod up for everyone to enjoy.

We found that all the sun brollies were broken in some way and weren’t very stable which was a little disappointing. Perhaps a permanent shade structure in the garden would be a good idea with the wind being so strong.

All in all we had a lovely holiday and I would thoroughly recommend this villa! It is immaculately clean and very well managed. I was very impressed and believe me my standards are high!
Owner's Response: Its great to hear more really complimentary reports this summer. The iPod suggestion is a good idea; we will make sure there is a docking station at Villa Antigone from the beginning of October 08.

Great Holiday

Review Submitted: September 14, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic holiday at the villa. The house was beautiful, and the kids spent all week in the pool. It was brilliantly equipped, clean and really comfortable.

We went to the Bunch of Grapes, and had a lovely meal, but we also went twice to Limanaki restaurant at Pissouri jetty, which was absolutely brilliant.

The Cash and Carry in Paphos is now a Carrefour, but we found Popa Antonios (?) near Paphos habour, and that was a good supermarket.

The only things which could have enhanced our stay was a few more bathroom towels, and some spare bedding. Alot of the halogen bulbs in the house went whilst we were there, but there weren't any spares. But if that is the worst I can come up with then you have done a pretty good job!!

I have already recommended Villa Antigone to a few friends, and we definately hope to return.
Owner's Response: We are very pleased that like so many others, these guests found Antigone beautiful, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. Since their stay at the villa, we have shipped out a large supply of high quality towels and bedding. And, from next month we are supplying bathrobes and complementary quality toiletries. Our thanks to those quests who make constructive as well as complimentary comments, as we do pride ourselves in the whole service we provide to make hard-earned holidays live up to expectations.

Villa Antigone -Serenity-

Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
Beautiful villa offering everything you require for a peacefull and tranquill holiday. The villa is situated within an area of other high class villas yet is very private and the scenery is beautiful .
Within the extremely spacious villa there is everything you need for a perfect self catering holiday.Be aware that you will have to adopt a military regime to control the ants around the kitchen area, but with that knowledge there should'nt be any problems, [no "bigger insect" sightings].
Hire car is essential and is only 10 minutes drive from the airport. Paphos town centre is 25 minutes drive.
Visitors book in the villa gives reccomendations for local dining and a large "Carrfour" supermarket is 20 minutes away for all needs. If you want clubs and bars then choose something nearer Pathos centre but if you want a quiet family, or romantic holiday, Villa Antigone is the place
