This was our second visit to this apartment and we enjoyed our stay as much as we did the first time two years ago. The room is very spacious, clean and cool, with all the amenities you need. The pool is well maintained with lovely views from the terrace. The added bonus from our previous visit was the much improved track down to the villa which is now tarmaced / concreted all the way down! The nearby village of Competa has a lovely Square where you can watch the world go by over a couple of beers. A very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Hi Malcolm & Christine,
We really enjoyed our stay in Competa, was a beautiful place up in the mountains, even saw some eagles! The villa studio was very spacious & very clean, everything was provided for us which made us feel welcomed. You defently need a car for this holiday as we walked to the village twice & was very tireing. We would recommed this holiday for couples, & 50+. We found plently of restaurants & supermarkets nearby. The pool was lovely well maintained & private, we had the whole pool to ourselves!! I would love to come back agen to Competa. Thank you very much Malcolm

The apartment in the villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool during our stay and had exclusive use of it during the day. The owners of the villa couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The villa is situated in a valley behind Competa which meant we had beautiful views from the pool terrace. You do need a car on this holiday as walking into town would be a one hour walk up a very steep hillside road, we attempted this once, which was hard going in the August heat but had a cold beer at a lovely restaurant when we got to the top! All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of Spain.

Great location, beautiful views, good accomodation and
lovely private pool - good value for money.
We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to going back.
The local village Competa has lots of nice restaurants and bars. Only 25 mins to the Coast.

Nice place for PERFECT price!
Mot cheap place i've ever been.
i't very clean, plenty of space and in the middle of mountains.
Disadvantages:
- just 1 (very big) room.
- place lies in a valley with a very step road to it.

In april 2006 we were the first guests of Malcolm in Competa!
We really enjoyed our week in the mountains.
A beautyfull villa, with a bright studio, a private swimmingpool... and the view!!!
Now, 2 years later, we still speak about this week in Competa.

Great place to unwind

When Malcolm emailed to say he would meet us at a cross road outside Competa my wife thought it was an scam, but no worries Malcolm arrived and guided us to his villa / studio. The discription is honest and accurate and the pictures do not fully show the full beauty of the area. There are patio doors in the studio you can open for meals/drinks and just gaze out over the olive grove opposite. We had full exclusive use of the pool and upper patio area during our stay. We were lucky enough to see eagles soaing over the hills. The road to the villa is concrete so no worries. Competa is a nice town with plenty of restaurants, but you do need a car to get there.
