We've had a wonderful time - this has been an excellent apartment - one of the best we have stayed in amongst a number on a long trip.' Sue, Graham and Emily, Adelaide, Australia, December '06.

The property was found in the heart of the Albaicin, so be prepared for lots of steps. The information provided by Donald was excellent and really helped us to get the most out of our stay. The property was fine, clean and well maintained and very peaceful. The roof terrace was a particular highlight with stunning views of the Alhambra.

Great Location in old Granada

Review Submitted: October 25, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We have stayed at the appartment with our two children (3&8) and have had wonderful four days there and in the amazing albaicin distrikt.
The apartment is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped with all you need. Everything was as described or better and we all felt very homelike there.
It's an ideal place to explore old granada with the albaicin, the sacromonte caves and the incredible alhambra. The only thing you need are your feet, but you can also take a bus for the return path. After your return to the apartment you can enjoy the fantastic Alhambra views from the roof terrace, a very good place to relax.
The owners are great to deal with and provide you with loads of usefull information. The local agent was very helpful, too.
We can definately recommended the apartment and hope to return sometimes.

Great Location

Review Submitted: September 9, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We stayed at the apartment in late August. It is ideally located for exploring old Granada and the Alhambra with fantastic views from the roof terrace. The caretaker met us on time and took us from out taxi to the apartment. The apartment is very spacious and felt like a home during the time we stayed there. There is a good information pack with some excellent restaurant recommendations, some of which we visited. We can recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Granada.

Best way to experience Granada

Great view from the terrace, excellent facilities, location close to a great lookout spot and local shops/markets. It's a nice walk away from the central area and worth it for the elevated view of the Alhambra. Best of all, the owners are great to deal with!

They also provided a massive folder of information on where to go for just about anything. The reviews are first hand and honest - my three friends and I tried out a couple of the restaurants and they were exactly as described.

I highly recommend this apartment.

Granada re-visited after 45 years, a highlight

Wer Leoben, Austria
Review Submitted: May 26, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We are glad to have chosen the Algibe de Trillo Apartment which is highly recommendable: Spacious, comfortable and gemuetlich, comprehensively equipped for all needs (there are even electric heaters for the off-season visitor) and therefore well suited for a longer stay and families. The location in the heart of the Albaicin is picturesque and ideal, with many attractions within easy walking distance… and sundowners on the roof terrace with a fantastic view of the Alhambra, you can’t have it any better. But we also appreciated the mini-bus stop nearby, which saved us the uphill climb when returning to the apartment. The organisation, advice and assistance were perfect, I even found Severo Ochoa parking on the first try, thanks to Donalds clear instructions. Thanks from Leoben (Austria), Antonia and Werner.

An excellent choice!

This very pleasant and well-equipped apartment is situated right in the heart of the picturesque old town. It offers a perfect blend of qualities for a holiday - on the one hand, full of character from the neighbourhood and style of the building (including very special features such as the roof terrace view to the Alhambra); on the other hand, it's also very comfortable and practical - the owners have taken a great amount of care to organise the flat well and to provide all the orientation information that you could need. There is a local agent on hand to meet you at the apartment and explain things - our contact was very kind and helpful and this reflected the friendly and thoughtful contact we had had with the owners prior to arrival in Granada. All in all, a very memorable and convenient base for a stay in Granada.

The spirit of old Granada

Review Submitted: January 14, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
In October 2008 we stayed for four days in this comfortable and well-equipped apartment in the Albaicin - the old quarter of Granada. The views of the Alhambra from the roof terrace are wonderful (and yet our two visits there exceeded expectation - truly a wonder of the world). Everything was exactly as described in the holiday-rentals.co.uk website. Donald and Leslie (the owners) were generous with information and advice throughout our planning, as was the meeter/greeter/contact person in Granada. The 5-7 minute walk over the cobbled streets was just a bit testing with heavy luggage - but you only do that twice; the rest of the time that walk added enormously to the immersion in the spirit of the place (and the absence of cars in the narrowest cobbled streets is really refreshing - and quiet). If we were to visit again, we would unhesitatingly stay at this apartment again; and we have recommended it highly to friends. A great place to stay in Granada.

Just back from a short stay to this fabulous city. The apartment is delightful and very convenient for exploring Granada and the Alhambra. Thanks for all the great suggestions about where to eat etc. Great bus connections to the city centre/Alhambra and wonderful walks through the Albaicin. We went with 2 children (7 & 5) who had a wonderful time and found the futon very comfortable! Would recommend the night visit to the Alhambra - very atmospheric, although not all of it is accessible in the evening. We will definately be recommending the apartment and hope to return again soon!
