Lovely place with a lovely view!

My husband and I stayed at the Millennium Haus for our honeymoon. It was such a wonderfu trip and we had a lovely stay there. This was our first time traveling to Switzerland and the owner, Silvia, was very prompt and helpful answering any questions we had.

Everything was easy, travel in Switzerland, getting to the Millennium Haus, and navigating through Zermatt. The apartment was very clean and cozy and we had a bottle of Champaign awaiting for us upon arrival. Also, there is a black book of information on suggestions of where to go shop, get grocercies, restaurant information, and maps. This book came in very for us handy! The apartment had comfort of home ammenities. We didn't use the broadband. We broght a couple of CD's with us but the player didn't recognized our disks (coming from a different region.)

The view is quite impressive from the apartment! It was a pleasure to see the Matterhorn on clear days right from the apartment! We enjoyed the carlessness, quiet, and beauty of Zermatt. We walked around and explored Zermatt, and ventured on trails leading away from the villiage to have some more impressive views.

We traveled during off season which was more affordable for us, some of the restaurants weren't open when we were there, but using the Black Book we were able to find more options for eating out.

We had a nice romantic getaway, I would definitey recommend my friends to stay at the Millennium Haus. This place would also be great for a small family too!

Thank you Silvia for the champaign and all the help addressing our questions. You have a lovely apartment. Stephani & Jason

A fantastic base for exploring Zermatt

Review Submitted: September 2, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
A beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean apartment with fantastic views of the Matterhorn. The kitchen contains all the mod cons you could need. Bed is very comfortable and there is also a lovely large bath.

The owners are very helpful and provide a very informative guide to the area. All in all 10/10 - excellent value for money.

Super Apartment - Quiet, comfortable, GREAT views!

We had a glorious holiday here!! The apartment was spotless, beautifully furnished and very comfortable, particularly for two people. It was great for my mother and me (80+ and 60+) because of the ground floor position, easy access from the road, comfortable beds and armchairs, power shower and warm underfloor heating. Millennium House is on the outskirts of the village and it was an uphill walk, but we just took our time....and I had a marvelous Lakeland shopping bag with wheels for carrying up the groceries! The kitchen was small but adequate for one cook. However, there was no microwave, so I just had to adjust my menus! We brought several DVDs and enjoyed them on the big flat screen TV, and we kept an eye on the Zermatt TV channel for the latest weather reports. My mobile phone worked well so I could keep in touch with family in the UK. The information provided in the apartment (particularly, tips in the Guest Book) led us to some lovely places to see and things to do, and the owner was easy to contact and answered all my questions before our visit. The very BEST thing was the amazing views of the Matterhorn and Zermatt village. We turned the armchairs to look out of the patio doors, or sat outside on the deck chairs, and often just "watched" the mountain! On our last morning, we woke early and saw the most amazing sunrise on the Matterhorn.....the perfect end to our wonderful holiday!

Our second visit to Zermatt and this terrific apartment. Our family of 4, are easily accommodated very comfortably. Toastie warm, thanks to the underfloor heating, lovely to be able to relax in light clothes after a day of skiing. Kitchen is well appointed and we were able to cook gourmet meals easily. Terrific having a dishwasher. The view of the Matterhorn is unbeatable and the lights from the village at night delight us. We hope to visit again soon.

This apartment is convenient and newly appointed. Matterhorn view is great, and underfloor heating is very effective. Comfy beds. Cons - Small TV, small kitchen.
Had a great time in Zermatt and Millenium haus - altho with the swissy/pound rate this holiday was a major expense. Luckily the perfect weather and top class skiing conditions made up for it.

Owner's Response: Hi MRM

Thank you for your comments, the TV is a CRT 24" which we felt was a good size for the apartment... we are considering replacing it with a flat screen and will look at a larger model.

The kitchen took a long time to layout to make the most of the space and fit in a dishwasher! I'm sorry you found it limiting

I've stayed at this apartment twice and just CANNOT FAULT IT.

It's a very comfortable, modern, clean apartment that instantly makes you feel at home. It's quiet, spacious and has a view to die for.

As for the rental process - no problems whatsoever. Keys are picked up and dropped off locally. The owners are easily contactable by email and are very helpful in all information that they offer.

Stay here - you won't regret a moment.

We had a fantastic holiday in Zermatt. Our stay at Millenium house made it even more special. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very tastefully decorated and a pleasure to stay in and since coming home yesterday we've already missed waking up to the wonderful sight of the Matterhorn!. MB Jul 06
