An Easter to remember

Review Submitted: April 19, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The Manor House was perfect for us. We were 10 adults 12 children (5 families) in our party looking for a comfortable house that could accommodate us all easily with ample space and facilities,. The house is great as the dining room can seat 22 so we could all at together. The cooking facilities are superb with an Aga and electric cooker so cooking for 22 was not difficult. There are also plenty of glasses plates and cooking utensils which is a must. We could have done with a second dishwasher though which would be my only slight complaint!
The garden is fantastic and it proved invaluable for our easter egg hunt on Sunday! Plenty of space to sit and the hot tub was a huge asset!
If you are staying in the house with a mixed age group like we were the house has four lounges with three televisions so Sky Sports could be on in one with a DVD/Video running in the other so we were all able to spread out.
I would certainly recommend the house to either families or friends. The location is perfect and there is plenty to do. We went to Telford and the boys saw a rugby match at Worcester. Next time we would probably take our bikes to explore the countryside.

Owner's Response: Thank you Sarah. We are so pleased you had a good time, and look forward to welcoming you back soon. There is a second dishwasher in the laundry room, however we appreciate that is not very convenient, and we are in the process of installing another one in the kitchen.

Half Term Family Retreat

Tracey and Phil Bromsgrove
Review Submitted: November 2, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
A uperbly maintained property. Interior finishes, fixtures and fittings all to a high standard. Photographs provided were an acurate representation of the interior and exterior aspects of the property. We were a group of 19, four families and two couples, the size and layout of the property met fully with our requirements. The kitchen is large and well stocked with suitable sized cooking equipment and an abundance of crockery, cutlery and glassware. The bedrooms were all tastefully decorated with good quality, comfortable beds and luxurious bed linen. The towels provided in each room were fluffy and abundant. The games barn and hot tub provided entertainment and enjoyment for the teenagers in our group. The weather was superb for October so we took the opportunity to take long walks in the countryside, following the course of the meandering river. Some of our group visited nearby Leominster whilst others visited Ross on Wye which is a short car journey away. I would highly recommend this property to others and will certainly aim to return with my family in the future. Many thanks for a great week.

We have just returned from a fantastic break away at this amazing house!! We couldn't have asked for anything better!! Every need was catered for even down to enough toilet roll and toiletries for the duration of our stay. The kids were happy and so were we there were 19 of us and we did not feel at all cramped. We are hoping that we can book again for next year

Weekend at the Manor House

Renfield London
Review Submitted: June 8, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
This is an ideal location for a special family gathering or time with friends. The accommodation is very comfortable - luxurious really - and well-equipped. All ages and interests are catered for so everybody can relax and have a good time.

We particularly appreciate the following: games barn and televisions to entertain the children, lots of crockery and cutlery so no constant loading of the dishwasher, big dining room so we can all eat together, and plenty of space. And of course, the hot tub is a real winner. We have stayed here in January several years running and have enjoyed lying in the hot tub with a glass of wine looking at the stars.

The location too is perfect: friendly, welcoming pubs opposite the house and beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside.

The owners are helpful and friendly. They have obviously put a great deal of thought into what would make staying in the Manor House a truly memorable experience for the right reasons.

We always look forward to our visit and highly recommend this property.

Country house party

Agathos London
Review Submitted: June 3, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We were all delighted with our weekend stay at the Manor House in mid-May 2009. We had a family gathering for my husband's 60th. We had 21 adults (early 20s to 70s) and children from 10 months to 13y and the Manor House suited all of us perfectly, the youngsters enjoying the games barn and the hot tub especially. The house is full of character but has all the mod cons people expect nowadays. I loved everything about the house and the grounds, the kitchen and sitting rooms particularly. Excellent helpful housekeeper too.

A delightful Tudor Retreat

The Manor House more than lived up to expectation. It was very clean, homely & well maintained. The accommodation is superb without being too precious for children. (We had 10 aged from 5-17 in our family party of 20). It is great for hide & seek!
The kitchen is particularly well designed for large parties & we seated 20 round the dining room table with ease.
Eardisland is very pretty & close to Leominster & several National Trust properties e.g. Croft Castle & Berrington Hall both of which we would recommend. We also enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch just across the road at "The White Swan". Brenda, David & Family. Leicester

The Manor House

Cod Essex
Review Submitted: January 5, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
Stayed at the Manor House just before xmas 2008, fantastic house, we were a group of 19 ranging from 8years of age to 93 years old. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. There was no fighting over bedrooms (like usual with our family) as every bedroom was lovely and the four poster rooms very romantic. The huge kitchen was brilliant for cooking our xmas diner and it was great to have all 19 of us sitting round one large dining table. For such a large house we were all amazed how warm and cozy the house was. We cant wait to go back.

Great place for a large group!

It's such a great house and amazingly well equipped (there were 19 adults and 2 babies in our party) - it exceeded all our expectations. We commented on how in many other large properties there's always one dodgy room that no-one wants but that certainly isn't the case of the Manor House, they were all lovely, and the set up for couples with a few singles (in Bed 1) was great for us. And it's such a grand house you never feel like there's too many of you in there because there's so many different places to escape to if need be (including the hot tub!). In addition the Cross Inn's Sunday roast was delicious and great value for money - and just over the road! We will definitely be going back...
