We arrived expecting a romantic, tropical paradise, with a touch of adventure, and Nature's Paradise gave us all this, & more. David & Wanda are perfect hosts providing exceptional accommodation in 2 cottages, fabulous breakfasts in the Main House & a wealth of helpful advice. Wanda's gardens which are a credit to her work & imagination. The adventure came with every trip we took in the jeep to nearby Marigot Bay, the most stunning part of St Lucia. Nature's Paradise is an ideal base from which to explore the islands stunning scenery & beautiful beaches. Highlights included waterfalls, botanical gardens, tropical rain forests & the volcano!
It was Nature's Paradise that made our stay all the more memorable and it is without question the best accommodation we have stayed in. Anne and Peter Robertson (Darlington, England)

Top-drawer!

NATURE’S PARADISE is exactly as portrayed on David’s excellent website. Better even. We stayed in a room to one side of the main house – both bungalows having been booked well ahead. Our room was fabulous, with its own bit of balcony overlooking the Caribbean, a tiny kitchen area, and an en-suite. With windows on 2 sides, and the option of leaving the en-suite door open, we could enjoy a cooling breeze day & night. The gardens & pool area are beautiful, again with wonderful views up & down the coast. A hire-car (4x4) is a must. Overall, we were very happy with our stay & will return. That David & Wanda are excellent hosts is the icing on the cake.

A Wonderful Experience in St Lucia.

Review Submitted: May 8, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
What a wonderful trip!! The island is simply beautiful, its people, views and food - unforgettable. The best experience, however, was Nature's Paradise. The place, a small B&B, is beautifully located above Marigot Bay. The views from the cottages, decks and the pool are amazing. Our hosts, Wanda and David woke us up every day with wonderful breakfast and good music. They were able to suggest a place to see or a thing to do every day. Both of them know the island very well and did the activities or trips themselves. Also, they have all the resources and know a lot of local people to make the vacation very exciting. This was the most romantic and exciting vacation my husband and I have ever taken. We loved it!

Do Yourself a Favour

Review Submitted: May 8, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2007
Here’s the thing: you can do the resort, but you could be anywhere. You won’t know anything about the place, the people or even the real atmosphere of the island.

It is so easy to find alternatives, and they don’t come better than Nature’s Paradise, located in picturesque Marigot Bay. Dave and Wanda have prepared two self-contained cottages high on a ridge for you, nestling among tropical gardens, with your own balcony to sit on while you gaze at the boats sailing by far below. You do need a four wheel drive to get up the hill, but it’s definitely worthwhile as soon you’re sipping a cool drink by a pool with incredible ocean views and hummingbirds zipping by.

Dave and Wanda make it easy: they can arrange your car for you as well as any trips or tours you are interested in, serve you a lovely breakfast of fruit, fresh bread and if you’re very lucky, Wanda’s banana bread, and generally give you any information you need to enjoy your stay.

The location is excellent, as it is only a 5 minute rattle down the hill to Marigot Bay, equipped with small supermarket, restaurants, a local dive shop and of course the marina. It’s lovely to take the small boat which acts as a ferry across the bay to eat, and the whole place has a low key vibe.

Do get on the road and explore: the island is beautiful and if the people initially look a little forbidding in expression once you’re out of the tourist zone, all it takes is a wave and a smile to overcome their reservations. We got lost plenty of times, and always enjoyed asking for directions and sharing a joke. It was always nice to come home to our little cottage though and share our experiences with Dave and Wanda over breakfast the next morning.

If you don’t usually do independent travel, this is a great introduction. You will be comfortable, safe and relaxed, but will have left the screaming hordes far behind. If you are used to doing your own thing, you'll relish the friendly welcome, lovely location and privacy that Natures Paradise ensures.

Amazing Place to Stay

This has to be one of the nicest places to stay on the island. The view from their pool is stunning as well as the views from either of their cottages. Marigot Bay is one of the best places to stay on the island and close to most everything you need to see. David's Eco Tour is a must do and he is extremely knowledgeable about almost anything the island has to offer. The drive up the hill to their home is an adventure unto itself and the entire island is a fantastic place to visit.

We recommend renting a two person kayak and paddling around Marigot Bay and along the coastline. There are a few secluded beach's along the coast that are perfect to relax on alone. It's like a dream come true!

There is so much to see! In our 10 day stay we still had a fair bit left to see, so I guess a return trip is required. Needless to say, we'll definitely stay at Nature's Paradise again.

We Loved It!!!

Review Submitted: May 8, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
We have returned from a 12-day holiday at Nature’s Paradise. The lovely memories of our holiday in Banana Cottage is still fresh in our minds.

Banana Cottage was absolutely great! It has everything you need in the kitchen, including oven, fridge/freezer and a blender. The shower room is a nice size (with built-in hairdryer) and the 4-Poster bed was very comfortable. The balcony was the best thing; the view was lovely and the gardens that Wanda has created are stunning – colour, colour, colour! The other wonderful thing to watch on your balcony – apart from the sea view – are the gorgeous little Humming Birds that feed all day on the nectar of the beautiful purple flowers that entwine themselves around the side of the balcony. Absolutely fantastic! I really loved it!

The cottages are self-catering and you could make your own breakfast, however the Tropical Breakfast gathering is not only delicious but also a fantastic opportunity to find out about things to do. David is passionate about St Lucia and a wealth of knowledge, so he can fill you in on anything you want to know about St Lucia and any activities you might be interested in.

We made great use of the swimming pool at Nature’s Paradise. There’s a fantastic view wherever you look. Whenever we got back from a day of exploring, we would bring a drink to the pool area and watch the sunset. Again, fabulous!

The weather was hot and sunny most of the time but you never feel uncomfortable because there’s usually a nice breeze to cool you down. There were few short bursts of rain, but they didn’t last very long at all.

David advised us to book a Jeep and kindly arranged it all in advance. We were very pleased about that as some of the roads, particularly the one leading up to Nature’s Paradise and some of those leading to beaches off the main road, are real bone-shakers! On these we put the Vitara into 4-wheel drive mode which made a lot of difference. It’s easy to find your way around the island, however the roads are very windy.

We thoroughly recommend Nature’s Paradise. We felt very comfortable and happy there. Wanda and David were great hosts and we can definitely see ourselves going back there in the future.

The Best Place I've Ever Stayed!

This is indeed the perfect place to stay. The surroundings are so beautiful - overlooking the sea and gorgeous tropical plants. The drive up to the property is exciting and different - you DO want to rent a 4 wheel drive! It's easy to get down to Marigot Bay to visit several great bars and restaurants, and I enjoyed scuba diving from there as well. Marigot Bay has a friendly, "you're one of the family" atmosphere, and you'll feel like a local in no time. The owners of Nature's Paradise, Dave and Wanda, have worked hard and have done a wonderful job of creating a beautiful place to stay. Our trip to St. Lucia would not have been the same without Dave's great company and the ready advice he gave us about the best places to go and very interesting local stories! We felt like we were staying with friends instead of at a hotel. Many thanks again to Dave and Wanda. I've been very fortunate to have traveled quite a lot, and this is the best place I've ever stayed!
