What a view!

We had a fantastic time in March this year. The apartment was excellent, well equipped and very cosy. The best part which was a great surprise was the amazing view from the balcony - right over the slopes and of the mountains with the sun streaming in. The skiing was great for all levels with plenty of intermediate slopes - would definately recommend a la clusaz ski pass which covers a huge ski area. The apartment is about a 1 minute walk to the nearest slope which is very handy. People in the village are very friendly and the atmosphere is typically French. The apartment owners were brilliant and very flexible with us and seemed to really care about our stay with excellent directions and information prior to our trip. Would definately recommend this to anyone and we will certainly visit again. Many thanks Sally!

Ski apartment

Good friends north of England
Review Submitted: March 29, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
Well equipped bright apartment with beautiful views over the mountains. Good local information helpfully provided by the owner. Great snow conditions with slopes virtually at the door step. The log burner was well used in the evenings. Ski areas very quiet but busier at the weekend.Rarely any queues for the lifts. Staff in the local restaurants were very friendly and helpful apart from the restaurant/hotel at the foot of the Chamois lifts in Merdassier.
Would be happy to recommend the apartment to friends and return again

The Yeoman Brothers

LOST PROPERTY Lingfield
Review Submitted: March 8, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
Without question the perfect apartment for the perfect holiday.

A little Home Away from Home with a lovely view of the mountains and easy access to the piste literally a 5 minute walk.....yes 5 minutes. The slopes are ideal for the beginner to intermediate and the off piste sections are really good fun.

We also watched some dvd's numerous titles to choose from, and played Jenga and Texas Holdem Poker which made the trip all the more enjoyable in the evening.

The washing machine was also really handy.

Quite simply an apartment you hope to arrive to on holiday....we will be back.

The owners were also so helpful, Thanks again Sally for all your help.

Spacious apartment, Merdassier

Review Submitted: February 22, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
Spacious apartment, well sited for the slopes. Fabulous view from the sunny balcony. Well equipped and a real comfortable apartment. Area great for everyone really, all levels. Shops and restaurants just a short ski (or walk) away and everyone really helpful. Our Grandson absolutely loved it, his first time ski-ing but he came back with a badge! Snow was fantastic and the only downside is that we have had to come back home. Thank you Sally, we loved it!

An excellent property, clean and very cosy with the open fire at night.

The apartment is a very short walk from 2 blue runs, and a 10 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants.

The resort is ideal for families, will definately return one day!

Skiing in L'Etale Feb 2008

GsyFreerider Guernsey
Review Submitted: March 22, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
Five of us hired the apartment in the last week of Feb 2008. Bearing in mind this is the middle of the French school holidays we got a fantastic deal - we paid £350 as we took it for just less than a week. Apartments half the size were going for EUR1000 in La Clusaz for a week, that's if you could find any availabilty. The apartment is set in a quiet, picturesque location with ski in, ski out access to the easy slopes of which are ideal for beginners or early intermediates. The Manigod slopes are never going to keep advanced skiers occupied for long, however they are fine for a warm up and it is easy to traverse across and join the main La Clusaz area. We were very unlucky with the weather and had rain for three days, thankfully the area has an excellent snow record and there was certainly no lack of snow! However from L'Etale it is easy to drive across the Col de Aravis, where there is access to resorts such as Megeve and Chamonix, both reachable in under an hour, in fact one day we even went as far as La Thuile in Italy. The La Clusaz area has very extensive terrain and some good, easily accessible off piste. The mountain restaurants are great. The weakness is probably the lift system, there is a severe lack of modern and high speed lifts, however on the positive side it means the powder shouldn't get tracked out as quick! La Clusaz has produced some of the greatest freeskiers in the World and if you enjoy hitting the park you are in for a treat as facilities are fantastic. If you are getting on a bit like me, you can just sit back and watch the next generation of French freestylers putting on a show - it in incredible to watch. Getting back to the apartment, it is deceptively spacious, incredibly well equipped and has the benefit of a huge terrace ideal for catching later season sun. I think the immediate area is probably best catered for families, the local ski school set up looked amazing, however such is the versatility of the accommodation, as a group of middle aged male skiers on a budget, we were more than happy to stay there. The advice and service we received from the owner before and after the trip was top class, We would highly reccommend the apartment and I would love to go back, probably with my family this time!

Fantastic Family break

Steve5925 Lancashire, UK
Review Submitted: March 22, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
We stayed at this apartment in Feruary and had a brilliant holiday. Despite being 1 bedroom the appartment is spacious with a comfortable sofa bed and fantastic views. My wife enjoyed sunbathing on the terrace at lunchtimes! The resort is not as busy as other places we have been and has a relaxed, family atmosphere. The owners could not have been more helpful and Sally's help and advice really helped us to start relaxing and enjoying the place from the first day! Thanks great place, great holiday!
