A 60th birthday to remember at Casa Benedict

Review Submitted: June 8, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Andrew and I spent three out of five weeks at this wounderful location. The first was to size the place up as we had booked for two weeks in May for family and friends to celebrate my birthday. It was amazing it had everthing we wanted and more. Great location, totally safe with masses of space, beautfully kept and perfect for a large gathering.
Jan and Ian could not have been more helpfull, toys for the grandchildren, extra large pots and pans all arrived before we asked, everthing was done to make our stay perfect. They even arranged the weather.
The dogs were a great hit even with Amy aged 2 who was frightened of dogs when she arrived. By day two she was feeding Tara and calling her to join us.
The location on site of the villas and apartments lend themselves to the perfect place for a large gathering we could not have choosen better.
We left with new friends and intend to return again unfortunatly not to celebrate another 60th birthday.
Owner's Response: What a marvellous fortnight as we felt we were on holiday too.
When the feedback is so positive it transforms our work into pleasure.
How lucky we are to become friends with such nice people, looking forward to spending more time in their company.
Ian and Jan

Casa Helena - July 2008

Sinbad London
Review Submitted: August 5, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
As a family, we had spent many years visiting Mojacar in the summer and, after an absence of 3 years, we wanted to find a suitable base for re-aquainting ourselves with the area. The road network had improved significntly in that time and we were surprised, but delighted to find that it was only an 8 minute drive from our villa to Mojacar Playa.
The villa itself (Casa Helena) was exactly as described, with 2 reasonably sized bedrooms, small kitchen & shower room and a balcony overlooking the beautifully kept pool - ideal fo the kids! We had pretty well everything we needed - (including a flatscren TV!) though it would have been nice to have air-conditioning in every room (not just the lounge) and included in the price. The friendly owners live on site and were available at all times to help and advise - very useful. A great holiday!
Owner's Response: Many thanks again for what was on the whole a positive review.
In answer to our air conditioning policy:-
1. We do state in all of our advertising that air conditioning is extra.
2. Any one who knows how the electricty works in Spain is aware that you buy Kw potentia and we are already at the maximum, meaning that even if we wanted to install extra units in the bedrooms our supply is unable to do so.
3. We reduced our base prices in high season by £100 from the 2007 season and made it fairer for everyone that the air con is metered, leaving it to the individual as to how much they use and untimately pay, as our past experiences meant that the air con units were left running all the time, which in unecessary with modern efficient units, which are powerful enough to cool the whole villa in a short time.

On monday 9th June, 2008, we returned from a two week holiday at Casa Benedict in the one bedroom apartment. The property, gardens and pool are lovely and in a very quiet peaceful location. The owners, Ian and Jan are very nice and helpful and have two dogs who I had slight reservations about prior to our holiday but they are very well behaved and I would not hesitate to take children there having seen them with Ian and Jans grandchildren.
It is a lovely peaceful haven to return to after a busy day visiting all of the local villages and beach resorts many of which are within 5 and 15 minutes drive away. A CAR IS A MUST. However, with such a well equiped and lovely environment you dont always want to go out!

Casa Benedict - my kind of place

This property was exactly as expected , and more. It was well equipped, very well maintained, and the owners were friendly and informative. Its location was ideal for the short journey to the various nearby resorts, and also for exploring the numerous inland villages.
Owner's Response: Keith many thanks for the kind review actually they were the perfect guests who make this such a wonderful occupation. They were 2 couples who were old friends and had a villa (Casa Alicia & Helena) each therefore they retained some independence.

A Little Bit of Heaven

Firstly, this is not just a holiday villa, it is my family's "must go" destination. This will be our 5th year at Casa Benedict and in all honesty, I can't think of going anywhere else. The villa is first class, the pool is superb and the location is sublime but what makes this holiday location are the hosts. Indeed, we think of Ian and Jan as our "Spanish family". Nothing is ever too much trouble, the villa and the whole complex is always pristine and the hospitality is outstanding. They even offer to pick you up from the airport if you don't have a car! We have no hesitation in recommending Casa Benedict to anyone. It's ideally placed for all the local attractions, good eating, the beach and a fabulous water park and if you want a safe, family friendly, beautiful place to visit then this is for you. Truly outstanding.

THE VILLA HELENA

Valron Hampshire England
Review Submitted: March 7, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
The villa lived up to all expectations, in an idylic spot with lovely mountain views. The pool looked very inviting but February was not th emonth to try it. Ian keeps the gardens beautifully.

The villa was fully equiped we wanted for nothing, and what is more there is adequate heating for any chilly evening that may arise, for us "out of season" visitors.

Casa Alicia at Casa Benedict

Mrs B Wraysbury, Berkshire
Review Submitted: February 6, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
The villa was perfect. The living room was spacious with plenty of storage so there was no need to have books, magazines and other possessions lying around in bags on the floor. The sofas were really comfy, not those ghastly things often found in holiday accommodation which have hard wooden arms and are so low that getting up is a major effort. The bedrooms were a really good size with loads of wardrobe space so all the clothes could be put away and the suitcases too, so you dont find yourself having to negotiate an obstacle course in the middle of the night. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with plenty of work space so you could prepare a meal for the family without having to do a balancing act with the plates.

Outside the gardens were beautiful and the pool area was a dream with no need to get up at the crack of dawn to bag a sunbed because there are enough for everyone. The water was oh so warm and inviting thanks to the Proprietor's devotion to its maintenance and of course, its only a few paces from the front door. Plenty of car parking too right next to the villa. Finally, the icing on the cake are Miss M and Mrs T, in-house rent-a pets, who were just adorable, great company and jolly good at guarding too.

All in all Casa Benedict is just like having your own home in the sun without the hassle. You simply could not ask for more.

Comments from our visitors books

Our stay here has been fantastic, brilliant apartment, pool, garden & area. You both have made us feel very welcome and at home. We will recommend you to everyone - Mr & Mrs Ray Hampshire.

We have been made very welcome and provided with everything we could want. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian & Jan - Mr & Mrs Pollard Nr.Manchester.

We love it here Ian & Jan were fabulous hosts. Casa Benedict has the homely touch and the little things like the info folder and Tara & Macy (Eddie Loves Them) make a difference. Thanks for a brilliant stay we shall return - Mr & Mrs Hickman with Eddie aged 6.

Thanks to Ian & Jan we have really enjoyed our time here. The Villa, Pool & Garden have been great and Rumer has used all her camera film on the dogs. The setting & location of the Villa combined with the hospitality ensured that the two weeks have been the most relaxing & pleasurable - Mr & Mrs McDermott Sheffield
