We stayed here in September 2008 and had a great time. The apartment is in a lovely quiet complex just a short walk from the beach and small shops and lots of great walks start really close by. An ideal apartment for a couple.

The flat had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. We were able to sit on the balcony and watch the birds and even had the pleasure of the donkeys passing by several times.

Sorry for the late review, but just contemplating booking for 2010 and hadn't realised I could post a review here.

Collioure is a charming Catalan fishing village, and our stay at this apartment made us feel at home! The apartment is cozy, very clean, comfortable, and perfect for a couple or a family with a child. The kitchen is efficient and well-equipped and you can easily explore your inner-chef – or prepare your afternoon wine and cheese for enjoying on the loggia. The location can’t be beat! You can leave the car parked in the gated, secure parking and enjoy the village on foot. The shops, restaurants, and beach of central Collioure are just 2-3 minutes away. We alternated walks to the sea with our daughter to search for shells with hikes up the hill to gather spring wildflowers. It is a wonderful place! The apartment is welcoming and peaceful – we can’t wait to return.

Colliour is a pearl! And stay at this appartment gave us an excellent oportunity to enjoy both the city and sorounding area. Excellent place to say - home feeling! It is small but perfect for 4 people and perfect to feel comfortable. The beach is just 3 minutes away. If you plan to soak in the sea or simply to stay in the sun, you can leave your car parked and enjoy the city, its wonderful restaurants and festivity feeling. This is a place to return! We were very satisfied.

Peaceful refuge

This part of France and Collioure in particular, abound in beautiful scenery. Everywhere you look is a postcard. Whether you are taking in the sights day-tripping or hanging around town this apartment provides a most adequate, quiet refuge. The local birds populate the hillside with the first sunlight making breakfast on the loggia charmingly intimate. Wonderfully located on a no-outlet street, traffic noise is non-existent and parking is convenient. The allure of the coastal landscape can be experienced on foot as it begins a few steps from the tennis court with the beautiful vistas from the castle hiking trail. The Sunday market in the village square is amazing with its tremendous variety of fresh foods and just about anything else you can think of. We would go to the patisserie and market in the morning and back to the apartment to prepare our meals most days in the adequately equipped kitchen. The washing machine in the bathroom was very convenient. Strolling back to the apartment in the evening with our "confection of the day" to share in the cozy comfort of the apartment before our perfect night's sleep was something we looked forward to each day. The coastal road to Spain with its magnificent views is a must! Carcassone, The Palace of the Kings of Majorca (in Perpigne) and Villefrance de Conflint are great day trips. It's on our "to do again" list.. loved it..

Cosy well-equipped apartment close to the beach

The apartment is very clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. It is perfect for a single traveller, for a couple, and for a family with a kid. The kitchen is equipped with every possible home appliance and utensil, so you may easily cook there. Several mini-marts, groceries, and a boulangerie are in a walking distance.
The apartment is located very close to the beach and Collioure city center - just a 2-minute walk. It is easily accessible both by car and by public transportation (train, bus, local shuttle bus). The apartment block has a guarded parking space big enough to park the cars of all residents. It's a great advantage of this property as it is almost impossible to find a parking space in central Collioure in high season.
The owner provides detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment as well as what to do while you stay there: there is a big file with tourist information and maps as well as two shelves of English and French guidebooks on Languedoc-Roussillion, S.France, and N.Spain in the apartment.
I would recommend this property to a friend without any reservation and will stay there again with pleasure.

Comfortable apartment but no view!

Review Submitted: November 14, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
A comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment for 2. The kitchen is rather cramped and awkward but nicely fitted. Bathroom utilitarian but fine. I would not stay here again, however, as the apartment has no view - windows look out directly on a steep dusty slope which makes the apartment rather dark and no-one would want to stay in on a summer evening.

Collioure is a beautiful town with lovely beaches which are easily accessible from the apartment.

Owner's Response: We read our guests comments faithfully and appreciate their kind words and always search for ways to improve their stay. Regarding the comment that the apartment does not have a view: we believe a “view” is in the eye of the beholder. We appreciate that our apartment does not look out onto another building or a parking lot, but onto a terraced hillside with stone walls, olive trees, and wildflowers. We try our best to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible and care deeply that they have a relaxing happy holiday here.
