lovely retreat in north devon

aromavon hampshire
Review Submitted: January 16, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2007
I recently had the good fortune to choose this rental property for a break with some friends.
We wanted a quiet place to relax with some friends we had not seen for a long time. They had always wanted to visit North Devon and this provided the ideal base for exploring the area.
The welcome was warm and friendly and we soon felt relaxed after a lovely cream tea supplied by Angi our host.
The shippen where we stayed was immaculately clean throughout with beautiful decor, and there was special attention to detail in all the rooms...All in all, it was a relaxing and wonderful stay in Tim and Angi's lovely home.

Huish Moor B&B

Rosie :D Pinner
Review Submitted: August 24, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We went to Huish Moor for four nights and felt very welcome there. When we arrived, Tim and Angi were incredibly hospitable; showing us around and then leaving us to get settled in. Both of the rooms we stayed in, my parents stayed in the Blue Charm Double room and I stayed in the Yellow Torrish Single, were clean and tidy, as was the bathroom.
The location is quiet and serene with a lovely view from the back of the house. The garden is also lovely too, a lot of work has gone into it.
As I wrote before, Tim and Angi were very welcoming and every morning Angi bought up tea half an hour before the tasty cooked breakfast. After breakfast, they both helped us sort out our day by giving us recommendations on where to go and what to see.
There are many restaurants around, often with a sea-view, but it is important to book as many places fill up quickly. The restaurants also had humungous portions so be sure to order a small!
Overall, this B&B was nice and pleasant and we would love to return again.

Definitely worth a visit!

Review Submitted: May 13, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We could not rate our recent stay here more highly. Huish Moor is definitely worth a visit. Its in a beautiful location, the accomodation is first class - clean and cosy with everything you could possibly need. We found it very easy to switch off, relax and enjoy everything it had to offer. Tim and Angi are wonderful hosts, welcoming, informative and they couldn't have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Perfect home from home in the countryside

Nick and Nat London
Review Submitted: April 17, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Along with a group of friends had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend in the Barn. All the facilities needed were available, comfortable and clean bedrooms and lovely to sit round the fire with a glass of wine or two in the evening. Perfect base from which to explore the delights of the seaside at Appledore (great pub food and local cider on recommendation) and go wandering in the wilds of exmoor. Tim and Angie are fantastic hosts with the perfect balance of a warm welcome and being on hand for any questions / local info but discreet and leaving you to enjoy the home from home. We will be back.

Where do I begin....immaculate rooms, stunning views and the most spoilingly delicious cooked breakfasts effortlessly prepared by the charming owners Tim and Angi whose knowledge on the surrounding area and countryside was seriously impressive. A total hidden gem in one of Englands most beautiful pockets of countryside. Gold stars all round and CANNOT wait to return.

Devon retreat

Belfield York
Review Submitted: December 18, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
I stayed in the converted barn with my family and weeks later in the adjoining bed and breakfast, run by the same owners. The property is reached using typical Devon country lanes. The views are wonderful. The barn has been tastefully furnished and is well equipped. It was spotlessly clean. The owners are friendlly, welcoming and helpful. The beach at Instow is good for young children as are the public parks at Bideford and Barnstaple. There are plenty of lovely places to visit in the area. The restaurant recommendations were varied and good. It is an ideal place to en joy relaxing holiday.

The Shippen

Islay Worcester
Review Submitted: February 18, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2007
We have been to the Shippen with friends twice now and have loved it and have booked again for this year. Everything is immaculate and very comfortable and the views from the upstairs sitting room are fantastic. Tim and Angi are marvellous hosts from providing a wonderful cream tea on arrival to recommending good walking and pubs. A definite must.

Stunning location, perfect country break

Emily & Euan London
Review Submitted: February 5, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2007
This is the most relaxing holiday my husband and I have had for a long time, thanks to Tim and Angi and their gorgeous barn house. Special mention goes to: the stunning countryside views; the beautiful converted barn with huge open-plan living room complete with cosy fireplace and comfy sofas; the location close to some lovely beaches perfect for long walks; and last but not least Tim and Angi, for making us feel completely at home.
Thanks so much!
