Thank you so very much for all the information. Just so you know, so far I am very impressed with everything.

When I come back, I plan on passing your information to the other 3000 International Police Officers so I hope you will get some more business.

We had a fantastic holiday, the villa was perfect and hope to see you next year,
Thanks for everything

Fantastic villa, just what we needed. Lovely people and Mustaffa was especially helpful. Maggie and Kevin were great. Diane and Pete

As a family, we have become used to enjoying a couple of weeks relaxation in the sun in the privacy of a villa with a private pool. Privacy can be difficult to find, quality can be difficult to find, value for money can be difficult to find, and last but not least, good locations can be difficult to find. But all four together are extremely difficult to find. At Olive Tree Villa, we believe we found all of what we like in a relaxing break. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, the locals are extremely friendly, more commercial tourist areas are but a dolmus away.

This was our first time in Turkey and we would certainly consider a return visit. We would highly recommend the country, the area, the village, and certainly the villa. Thank you Anne.

This is one of these cases where you think, this is to good to be true, but it's really true. This house and the village of Uzumlu are both wonderfull. A villa with plenty of room, nice bedrooms, fireplace in and outside(!) a private pool in fornt of the house, a real stunning vue, privacy, nice village people and a quiet place in the middle of the Lycian Highway area. We had a fantastic time and the owner is a wonderfull lady. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to this area.

This was our first visit to Turkey and we fell in love with the village it is so friendly and welcoming. The villa was everything we could want and more. It was clean, well maintained and everything was as described. The location is fantastic, quiet with stunning views and just a very short walk to the village centre. There are some very good restaurants in the village. Anne was very helpful through the whole booking process and since.

We loved it so much we have already booked for next year and can't wait. Thank you Anne!

A week of pure heaven

I am not much of a person who wrights these reviews as i can never seem to find the right words, but what i can say about this villa is simple "absolutely fantastic" The villa is set in amazing surrounding with beautiful views of the mountain, the village is a dream and a step back into you childhood where you popped out to get the fresh bread along with fruit & veg and were always welcome. You might think at first "well its quite away from the coast and a main town". Don't be fooled by this as the dolmus bus links are frequent and surprisingly fun, but if you want to be adventurous a car is always the best but certainly not essential. as for the villa itself you can't really fault it as it had everything you could ever need, rooms are spacious and airy and along with air conditioning all round you could never be uncomfortable. The little terrace next to the pool was again pure heaven i spent hours just sitting watching kids playing in the pool with (Of course) a nice ice cold beer which again is plentiful and v v cheap up in the village. There were a few great restaurants around the village so there was never any real need to go too far afield. I do have just one downside ----- A week was not long enough. Enjoy your stays you will not be disappointed Cheers Matt

Lovely relaxing holiday

I am in my late 20's and was a bit concerned when i first booked this villa as the owner stressed to me that it was very quiet with not much night life, however I am pleased to say it was just what I needed! The quiet villa with beautiful views was fabulous, with somewhere to eat and a place to drink - you could ask for nothing more if you are looking for a well and truly relaxing get-a-way!! I loved it sooooo much I am going again in 26 days and counting!!!
The property was clean and well maintained with a beautiful garden, All correspondance with Ann was fab. The transportation from the airport (as per the website) was second to none with air conditioned taxi, and a very comfortable drive.
All in all the stay was lovely and we will be staying for 2 wks this yr instead of the one last yr!
I can't wait!

We stayed in the villa in June 2008 and we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. The villa was spacious and clean with a lovely pool, which if it hadn't been for the Olive tree we wouln't have been able to have spent as much time in as we did as the temperature was over 40 degrees most days! It provided some much needed relief from the sun.
The village itself was very nice and it is only a short drive away from the busier towns of Fethiye and Hisaronu. We felt it made a lovely change to stay in a quiet and peaceful villa overlooking mountains to a busy resort full of people.
We also loved the tortoises!

Olive Tree Villa

I visited Turkey along with my husband and two teenage daughters in October 2008, it was our first visit to Turkey but will most certainly not be our last!! What a fantasic holiday! Olive Tree Villa is stunning and definately lived up to our expectations, there are breathtaking views right on the doorstep! The mountain views are excellent just as promised. We spent many happy days simply by the pooliside, the pool and facilities were immaculate and it was lovely to relax in what seemed like our own little retreat! The villa is clean and comfortable offering everything you could ask for. Uzumlu is a quaint and unspoilt little village yet offers everything you need. Anne was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and her villa offered us everything promised. Thankyou Anne for letting us stay in your beautiful villa, its a real treasure! We will definately be coming back next year! Pam

Although this is set in a nice area the photographs are quite deceiving. The pool rarely got the sun and although the garden is lovely is quite overgrown. Although the pool was supposed to be cleaned daily the water was cloudy and every second day chemicals were added so unable to use it on these days. Although the olive tree is lovely it none the less restricts the sun from getting to the front of the house till late afternoon. The back does get the sun however. Village lovely and very authentic. Although when we went it stated it had satellite telly there was none for the 2 weeks. even having some DVD's or something would be a benefit. Nice mountain views but it doesn't show what is directly facing you. Nothing!!! Although the property was clean it wasn't spotless quite alot of cobwebs inside and out. Enjoyed Turkey but I don't think we would rent this villa again.
Owner's Response: From the outset this couple proved to be quite difficult. They booked initially in early October 2007. I recieved no deposit on 3 occasions despite the customer telling me the cheque was in the post on 2 occasions, and into my bank account on the 3rd occasion. With this in mind after 7 months of waiting for a deposit I cancelled the booking on May 1st 2008. I reinstated the booking when they telephoned saying it was their honeymoon.
The photographs of the villa were taken by myself and are not those of a professional photographer, other people suggest that they do not do justice to the property.I feel quite sad for anyone who feels that the views from the property is of "nothing" and feel other reviews give a suitable description. The views are stunning!! Perhaps Hisoronu would have suited this couple more. The property has sun all daylong and the Olive tree is thankfull shade for most when required. It does not block the sun totally and there are plenty of areas around the garden that have sun all day.
Pool chemicals have to be added to the pool every other day and are required. This has never affected anyones holiday in the past, and has not differed for the 3 years of renting the property, this does not affect swimming at all - this statement is therefore unfounded. I do agree that satelite TV service in Uzumlu is less than adequate, but out of our control. Guests are informed of this in there pre-holiday information. A DVD player has been purchased for the 2009 season.

What can you say!
A wonderful villa (with everything you will need), stunning scenery, and a superb and very friendly village with all amenities (wine bar...ask for Eddie.., restaurants, local shops, great supermarket, barber and cafe-with wireless internet..so take your lap top!)
The village of Uzumlu is a short drive to all the beaches, shops and hustle and bustle of the town of Fethiye and the famous Blue lagoon. If you don’t want to drive, take the local Dolmus that leaves regularly from the village to all destinations, great fun!
A wonderful holiday. Excellent communication and information packs from the owners, Anne and Richard here in the UK.
Will recommend to all for a relaxing and most enjoyable holiday.
A holiday with Sun, Pool, beaches, fine food and drink...........what else can you say!
We’ll be back for sure.
Mike, Natalie, Danni and Callum
Ps....Look after the family of Tortoises that regularly stroll past the villa!
