Great location, great house

I don't know where to start, as this is a truely magnificent vacation home. The view from the patio is just breathtaking. The house itself is well kept and very clean. The furniture is functional yet tasteful.
Right infront of the door (and patio) is a giant swimming pool with umbrella and loungers. As there are only three houses, we had the pool mostly to ourselves. If this is not enough, the beach and the ocean are just behind the pool.
The staff of the diving school is very helpful and friendly. We felt very well taken care of.
The house is located somewhat outside Candi Dasa. We walked into town several times and it took us about 20 minutes one way. But most restaurants in Candi Dasa provide a pick-up service, just call them and let them know that you want "transport". They will come to pick you up and take you home again - free of charge. By the way: Vincent's is a must, great atmosphere and great food. There is a small supermarket at about 5 minutes walking distance. The only "real" supermarket (i.e. some western food, such as pasta or yoghurt) in the area seems to be Hardy's in Amlapura.
I would certainly recommend the house to friends and hope that we can go back one day. It is the perfect place to unwind.

Paradise!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in your amazing villa! We had a wonderful time and I only wish we could have stayed much longer. Next time we will stay at least one week! Siki and Ani were lovely and looked after us so well. Ani and a friend cooked us a traditional meal in the villa one night - actually it was my son's birthday and it was delicious. I highly recommend this to all future visitors.

Everything we needed was close to the villa, the villa itself was well-maintained and very clean. we will definitely return again one day soon.
Owner's Response: Thank you,
it's allways a pleasure to read these reviews.

We truly hope to see you again .

The description of this bungalow was accurate but the views were understated, it has a wonderful location, very peacefull. It was well maintained and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpfull. The visitors book was very helpfull in reccommending restaurants and places to visit and the owner has supplied many books on Bali for visitors to read.Hiring a driver with a car is a must and is very reasonable. I would reccommend this property to anyone wanting a truly relaxing holiday with the option of diving, snorkling and sight seeing in mind.

most wonderful spot on the planet

Review Submitted: May 8, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
Dear Will,

We went there to unwind and relax with our daughter who we had not seen for five months. She met us at the airport and we spent most of the nine days just relaxing by the pool. We only went on two whole day tours, one to Ubud and then Sanur; the second up to the Volcano with the lake and the restaurants. It was rather cool up at that altitude.

The bungalow and the pool were quite excellent. The food, beer and coke provided were very necessary but it took us a while to get into the system of shopping for food. I think, if anything, it would be more helpful to give more detailed briefings to guests so that they can have thorough instructions of where to do some domestic food shopping.

Candi Dasa closes down at about 10 o'clock in the evening. That was fine by us but there maybe some guests who would want more and so, at the risk of discouraging some, it may be worth describing the nature of that area.

Despite the long flights we will want to come back and I am already recommending it to some friends.

Thank you so much for the use of your bungalow.

I hope to be in contact with you again.

Bali, Indonesia - Paradise for a Canadian Family

Will,

We truly enjoyed our month spent in Candi Dasa! The location (peaceful, on the beach, and well out of the tourist areas), the sunsets, the sunrises, the people (Siki, Ani, Komang, Ayu) - everything was outstanding. Lesley, Alexandra, Ryan and I enjoyed every peaceful day we had in your wonderful villa home.

When we looked for adventure there was the dive center right next door (thank you Siki), riding elephants through the jungle, visiting the Natural Park with 400+ Macau monkeys, diving Tulumben and the wreck, or surfing of the south coast.

The one thing that is difficult to describe to those who have not visited the island, is the culture of Bali. The people are genuine, helpful, pleased to see you, and very friendly should you make an effort to get to know them. The "community" of Bali is like no other that we have come across in all our travels.

We thought that having a hotel next door to the property might impinge on our privacy, but found the exact opposite. For Lesley it was a source of fine Balinese dinners delivered to our outside dining room, and the hotel more than welcomed us when we were looking for a social atmosphere - ended up being a great feature!

Thank you again for sharing your warm, comfortable, and truly delightful ocean front villa with us. Should anyone wish to talk with us about our stay (not long enough), please do not hesitate to reach us.

The very best.

Dear Will
Thank you for a very pleasant memorable stay at your property. the ocean setting was a perfect complement to our first week in BAli spent in the hillsides near Lovina.
The villa is comforable and adequately equipped for 6 people. The pool is fantasticand the view incredible. Siki, Anni and the rest of your staff were very friendly and helpful.

Will,
We have been very luckey to stay here past week. Apart from the lovely pool and the comfortable villa, we have really appriciated the kindness and friendliness of everyone her at Subocean Dive.
This part of the Island is, like a nest, a delight.
