Photographs can't do it justice - it's so much better than we could have ever imagined! Sweenie Family, Lichfield, UK.
This is one of the absolute best gîtes we have ever had the pleasure to stay in throughout France. S & K Griffin, Paris.
You have chosen the loveliest part of France, you have chosen the loveliest home and your guests have chosen the loveliest hosts. The pool and pool house are real French Riviera class! M&D Garlick. South Africa.
This is surely one of the most beautiful houses we ever rented in France. We were touched by your hospitality. Family Nachtergaele, Belgium.
We've had the best few days we could have possibly hoped for. It's been gorgeous! The house is gorgeous! The pool is gorgeous! Hannah & Johnathan, London
We have been holidaying in France for several years and would have to say that 'La Terrasse' is the best house we have stayed in so far. McAndrews, York
Our children loved seeing all the wildlife: hares, owls, frogs, lizards, crickets etc.

Lovely La Terrasse

jodyandmel KZN, South Africa
Review Submitted: November 16, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
My wife and I, and our 16 month twin toddlers spent two weeks in La Terrasse. Right from the start, Stephanie and Jules were so accommodating. This was our first trip with young toddlers, and Stephanie was pestered with emails concerning the quality of the water, the availability of fresh milk, directions to the nearest supermarket, and the ferocity of the mosquitoes. (There aren’t any mosquitoes.) She always responded quickly and accurately.

When we arrived, we were super surprised to see two cots and two high chairs for the twins. Even the stair rail had been child-proofed! For the adults, our hosts had provided champagne, pate, pompete, home-made jam. Stephanie and Jules are wonderful hosts, and pay attention to every detail. They even bought spare nappies in case we arrived late.

We stayed in the farmhouse, but also visited the stables. They are all beautifully decorated, and painstakingly restored. I have to agree with one of the other reviews that the photos don’t do it justice. The farmhouse is very well equipped, with dishwasher, washing machine, wireless internet access, hi-fi, television, and dvd. The kitchen is also well kitted-out with enough pots, pans, knives etc to make meal preparation easier. The property is very spacious, and the pool is beautiful.

We had a wonderful holiday. It was very relaxing and refreshing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend visiting La Terrasse to anyone, and our thanks again to Jules and Stephanie.

Ferienhaus zum Wohlfühlen!!

Karin & family Bonn, Germany
Review Submitted: October 25, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Karin & family

We have stayed in a large number of gites and farmhouses in France and we would rate La Terrasse as the best for quality of accommodation, surroundings and value. La Terrasse is situated in what in my view is the most beautiful part of the Tarn but what makes it special is the hospitality of Steph and Jules for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Fabulous Gite

Review Submitted: July 19, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We spent a week here in this fabulous Gite. This is the nicest Gite we have ever rented and would certainly recommend it to all our friends. Julian and Stephanie were really nice, made us feel at home. There are a lot of good quality restaurants around the area, the pool is fabulous. We look forward to returning soon.

1st class holiday in the south of france

Review Submitted: July 8, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
My wife and I and our 11 month old baby spent a very relaxing week in the farmhouse at La Terrasse. The photos on the web dont do it justice. We had the space and freedom to do as we pleased with loads of local attractions to visit. Only just over an hours drive from Toulouse airport this accommodation was beautifully finished, well maintained and immaculately clean. My wife enjoyed the markets where you could buy local produce and baby Aoibhinn loved the pool. Look forward to visiting again soon.

A Leicestershire point of view

We found the house without any difficulty, following the instructions. It looked as lovely as the photograph and equally as lovely inside. Stephanie and Joules have done a very sympathetic renovation and we felt immediately that we were going to enjoy our week. The beds were beautifully made up with antique bed linen ( a joy at the end of a long journey ) and the bathrooms were well equiped and modern. The property was spotlessly clean and well maintained, the pool equally clean and the grounds were an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Stephanie and Joules maintained a discreet presence but were always available if we wished to ask advice. The local services were very good, we used several restaurants in Revel and the market on Saturday was the best I've been to anywhere in the world !! We visited Castelnauderay and bought a very large dish of the local Cassoulet. Castres is a very nice day out and we wish we had more time in this area - the wine at the cave is very good value.
I would definately recommend this property to even my most discerning friends and we hope to come back and stay here continuing with our search for a property of our own.
Having been fortunate enough to be shown "The Stables" on the same property I can confirm that this is as good as if not better than the Farmhouse we stayed in. The fact that Stephanie gave us her own wide screen TV to view when we erroneously thought our new one wasn't working demonstrates the effort these hosts put into their committment to make their guests welcome

A lovely holiday retreat

Review Submitted: May 10, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We have just spent a very nice two weeks in "The farmouse" and can only give praise. The house is very comfortable and well equipped and maintained and idyllically situated off a very quiet country lane.
The large swimming pool is obviously a plus for those hot summer days.
The shops and supermarkets in Revel are only a 5 minute drive away, which is very convenient, especially for those freshly baked croissants for breakfast!
The owners live on site and are very helpful should you need anything, but do not intrude on your privacy.
A good base for sightseeing in the area.
We would highly recommend this holiday accomodation.

Perfect holiday!

Review Submitted: July 22, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We were two families renting both properties for the last two weeks in June. Our party comprised of a 9 year-old, four teenagers, four parents and three grandparents. We all had a brilliant time; there´s enough history, nature and culture, mad sports and action, good wine, food and shopping in the area to keep everybody happy. The town of Revel is very close, very user-friendly and the whole area has fantastic food-culture, again, for all ages.
The properties are of the highest standard and are a total delight. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms modern, the kitchen appliances effective and the ambience very relaxing. The grounds are not only well-kept and beautiful but interesting too, and there is plenty of scope for both sunbathing and reading in the shade. There is no traffic noise as the properties are down a quiet lane, yet access by car is very easy. The owners live on site and are very helpful, friendly yet discreet hosts.
We highly recommend this property to anyone and have never, in all our years of French, Spanish and Italian gites found a better place to be!

A Home from Home at La Terrasse

Pootle Pensby Wirral
Review Submitted: June 11, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
We had a wonderful time at La Terrasse. The accommodation is beautiful and we had everything we could need for a fantastic holiday. Our hosts Julian and Stephanie were very friendly, kind and helpful before and during our stay. The grounds of La Terrasse were really great for children because the pool area is not right outside the house which means that children are able to have a little more freedom. We love to cook when we go to France on holiday and the kitchen was extremely well stocked with kitchen utensils for you to be able to produce wonderful meals. If you like wildlife then this is also the place for you. La Terrasse is just outside the town of Revel which means that you get the country views but the convienence of being close to a supermarket. Would recommend La Terrasse to all our friends and would love to go back again.
