Reviews of Property: Catalan villa with enclosed private, large garden and pool

Very nice house with lovely garden and pool . Large bedrooms (4 ) , which is interesting with two families. Close to village and also 5 minutes away from beach . Had a magnificent holiday !!

Ideal in every way for our family. Nice, spacious and cool villa with all the comforts of home (including UK television). Nice bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Beautiful pool and gardens with plenty of shade. Perfectly located within easy reach of many local beaches and towns, whilst being quiet at night.

The Villa far exceeded our expectations. The Bedrooms are all good sizes and the accomodation is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The gardens are beautiful and unusually for this region, are all on one level which, is perfect if, like us, you have young children. The small paddling pool is was also perfect for our 3 year old and there is plenty of shade around the pool and the dining area to get out of the midday sun. The table tennis table and sky tv was also great for the older children. There are several great beaches and resorts all within a 5 - 15 minute drive our personal favourites were callella de palafrugell and la franc as there are some fantastic restaurants there as well as lovely beaches. La fosca is a lovely beach with nice sand and both st antoni and platja d'aro are perfect if you want somewhere a bit busier. There is also a great supermarket at calonge just a few minutes away if you can't tear yourself away from the villa!
Another bonus is the flight only took 1 hr 50 minutes and the villa is just a 35 minute drive from Girona airport so all in all, its perfect for a stress free family break. The region is very Spanish and we heard very few English voices during our stay, the resorts were very very quiet during the weekdays and only slightly busier at the weekends. The owners were very helpful and allways responded promptly to our emails. We will definately stay here again and would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, stress free family holiday with great food and lovely scenery.

Just returned from Casa Sant Roc, our party was made up of 3 couples and two children (2 and 4 years). The villa offered great facilities for all of us. The bedrooms were large with lots of storage space, the kitchen had everything needed to cater for 8 people and the pool, bbq area and gardens were a hit with the adults and kids alike. The ping pong table and pool inflatables were in use most of the week.

As parents it was reassuring to know the children could not escape from the garden and they could hide from the sun in the living room (to watch cbeebies!) whilst we remained by the pool.

Bit of advice for future visitors; San Antoni the nearest beach resort is good for buying groceries etc but personally we didn’t like the beach area, not a lot of character and quite built up...its well worth the extra 10mins in the car to visit the more picturesque beaches nearby. We loved La Fosca beach, pretty cove with a beach bar and a couple of restaurants. Also take a trip to the town of Pals for a little culture, only about 20 mins drive.

The villa had everything needed for a great stay, home from home. We enjoyed our stay, it went too fast!

We've just returned from an excellent week at Casa Sant Roc. We travelled with two toddlers and the fact that the grounds are completely enclosed made this an ideal place to stay, if like us you are worried about the litle ones escpaing! The smaller pool was also a brilliant feature.

We loved the outdoor eating and cooking facilities and the well equipped kitchen made our break as stress-free as possible.

We went to a few nearby beaches, La Fosca was our personal favourite.

Really enjoyed our stay. The pool and outdoor space including the table tennis table were fantastic. Ideally situated to visit surrounding places including Palamos and Llafranc. Clean and comfortable interior with plenty of room. Good communication from owners. Would definitely recommend this property.

If you are looking for a chilled out relaxing holiday then this is a must. The villa was just as described with all the home comforts. The details from the airport were spot on we arrived late at night and had no problems finding it. We went with friends and have already told lots of other friends and family how wonderful it was.

Although we didn't eat out much there were plenty of local restaurants but a car is needed.

The gardens and pool are fantastic for young children.

The Villa was absolutely delightful, with a wonderful swimming pool and garden which were perfect for our two young children. The property was very well equipped with lots of nice personal touches which made it feel like our home for the fortnight. The garden is very large and private , we very much enjoyed the pool and Bar-B-Q area. The surrounding area has many things to offer beautiful unspoilt beaches , very good shops and many places of interest all within a short distance. Mrs S, Sept 2008
