The Perfect Place to Relax

Suzanne and Janet New York and California
Review Submitted: July 14, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Debbie's cottage couldn't have been more perfect for our week in Ireland, nor could the description on the website. It is exactly as it looks.....beautifully situated on the sea, immaculately clean and well maintained, modern conveniences with a great deal of warmth, and the kindness of Debbie and her family couldn't have been nicer. If you are looking for a home base from which to walk, hike, golf, shop, find a good pub, take a boat to an island, or just spend peaceful and quiet days at the cottage, we couldn't recommend Debbie's cottage more highly.

Excellent House

My family and I enjoyed a very pleasant relaxing week in 'Debbie's Cottage'. We were made very welcome by Debbie and her family who live next door. The house was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed, from books and games to wine bottle openers! - Debbie has thought of everything. The view from the cottage is stunning and we enjoyed watching the sun going down over the beautiful Connemara coastline while having our dinner. Would recommend the house to all as it is one of the best we have stayed in.

This location is just superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage which is much more spacious than the photos show. The views are so relaxing and a night in the local pub enjoying the Irish music and dancing just completed it all for us. We do hope to return.

Far Exceeded Expectations

JJPUSA Westport, CT, USA
Review Submitted: May 26, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My partner and I took my in-laws to Ireland for their first trip outside the U.S. We are in our 40's and they just turned 80.

We weren't really sure what to expect upon arrival, but we had a very good feeling after speaking and corresponding several times with Debbie. Debbie and her family (her parents live next door) are very warm, welcoming and honest people. The family is there if you need them, but are very unobtrusive and respect your privacy.

We are "clean freaks" so our standards are very high when it comes to cleanliness and organization. The home is meticulously maintained with all the latest appliances and comforts of home. The view from the every window of the front of the house is spectacular! I have took pictures from the driveway that are more beautiful than any postcard I've seen.

Connemara is a nature lover's paradise and the place to go to get away from everything and relax. It is so beautiful, peaceful and quiet. While we toured around Ireland a bit during our stay, we were always excited to return "home" to Debbie's cottage. In fact, when we return, we plan to stay put in Renvyle the entire time - it is paradise!

In summary, you will not find a nicer place to spend your holiday. I highly recommend the cottage (and I have already to many friends and family) to anyone looking for a peaceful, friendly and impeccably maintained place to stay away from all of the typical tourist traps.

Thanks again Debbie!

This house was the best!!! Clean, comfortable, and the views were just perfect... Everything you need is right at your fingertips--washer, dryer, dishwasher, even a wine opener!!! Hot, Hot water every shower and clean as one could ask for. I would recommend this property to anyone going to Ireland-we will definitely be returning.

It was great taking our daily rides and walks and then returning to such a wonderful resting place... A Home Away From Home....

We would like to keep this a secret......

This is not the standard we are used to!! Renting holiday accommodation is a risky business. We have rented in Ireland,Europe and North America, this property is top of the list, a real gem, truly five star. The accommodation is fantastic, furnished to the highest standard with all the expected luxuries, this is a home, not a rental property. Debbie offers excellent value , the highest standards a wonderful welcome and a great insight into the locality. The views from the house are some of the best experienced in the area. Our family have been travelling to Renvyle for 15 years, the house we normally rent was (thankfully) unavailable. This is our new base in the West. Our next visit is already booked.

We would like to keep this home a secret.....but happiness should be shared and Debbie supplies it in abundence.

Relaxing break in Febuary

Review Submitted: February 25, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
We stayed in this house for a week in Febuary 09. We are regular users of self catering holiday homes in Ireland and this house provided us with one of our most satisfactory experiences. I would highly reccommend a stay here if you are planning on touring around Connemara.
Upon arrival the house was immaculate, the owner lives nearby should any problems arise. There is plenty to do in the area, beautiful scenery and walking. The house is very reasonably priced for the quality of the house and the wireless Internet was brilliant. We have found it very difficult in the past to find a house as nice as this that has Internet access. We cannot wait to return again some time in the future.

We really enjoyed our holidays and I'll recommend the house to my friends and family. I hope I could come again.
