Fantastic relaxing holiday

Jon & Moira Lancashire UK
Review Submitted: November 17, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This was our first experience of booking our own accomodation on the internet and I'm happy to say it was an extremely pleasant one! We had a great week in the sun and loved Playa Blanca as a resort. The apartment is beautiful and very well maintained. I loved the dishwasher and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio every morning. The pool area is spacious, clean and never very busy. The beaches are great too, we particularly liked Dorada Beach,as did our two teenage girls They enjoyed the snorkling and pedalos and even the banana boat! Eating out in the evening was our main pleasure and ther are lots of good places to eat both on the marina and in town. We loved the walk along the front into town and found the whole resort very family friendly and good for couples. The island is easy to explore by car and we had many interseting days out to Timanfaya(volcano) and Orzola in the north. All in all an excellent holiday! We hope to return next Feb as Playa Blanca is now one of our favourite holidays destinations and this apartmant has everything you need for a very relaxing break. Thanks Gary!

Fantastic Holidays!!

Review Submitted: November 23, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2008
Second time of visiting this apartment in Playa Blanca - and looking forward to a third visit! The apartment is beautiful - really well appointed throughout. The kitchen is fab - everything you need and the addition of a washing machine is a real bonus! The information Gary gave to us before we departed was first class - we knew exactly where to find the local shops and restaurants. In the apartment we found loads of information written by previous guests giving their recommendations of where to visit, eat, swim etc which made life very easy. The pool area is really well maintained and was spotlessly clean and quiet so its a lovely place to chill and relax if you dont fancy going down to the beach or the marina. The Marina was our favourite eating out destination - there is plenty of choice - but likewise if you go down into the town there is something for everyone. Getting around was easy - we hired a car from the airport and its really reasonable for the week. Coupled with the lovely climate this is a really good choice of accommodation and holiday destination all year round!!

We visited at half term October 2009. The weather was lovely and warm the whole time. The house is clean and modern with all the amenities a family needs like a bath (needed for young children), washing machine, dish washer, excellent kitchen, DVD/TV, comfy beds, washing machine and drying area, an aboslute must when you are at the beach everyday (like we were).
The local marina 10/15mins walk has lovely restaurants and shops, all the beaches are fantastic. distance from airport good (30 mins).
A recommended venue for a fabulous family holiday.

Owner's Response: Many thanks Diane, I'm glad that you found the amenities to your liking and that the weather late October was great. It continued in the late twenties after you left and never fails to please anyone, no matter what time of year you go.

Review Submitted: November 19, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
We stayed at this property for a week in november 2009 and found it to be excelent ,it is furnished to a high standard, spotlesly clean, and
well located.
The Iris complex on which this property is situated is very well maintained with a beautifull swimming pool a few feet from your patio
and the neighbours who are resident are extremely helpfull with local
information
we found the new local bus service into playa blanca very handy if we did not feel like walking, and with the opening of a new supermarket with instore greengrocery butchers and bakery in las coloradas it means that you have even more choice if you want to shop localy.
Gary the owner was very helpfull in promptly answering all my questions before we made the booking
We liked the Playa blanca restaurant on the seafront and also the
Bistro terrace restaurant in the comercial centre between the marina and playa blanca was very good.

The apartment complex is in a peaceful area and within walking distance to the beach and town, very spacious, it had everything you could want while you were there. The front garden area and the pool were very welcoming, the weather was so nice we sat outside most of the time. Gary! Thanks for having the DVD'S of "Only Fools and Horses" Brill!!The resort has plenty of restaurants and I would recommend the Mexican at the end of the pedestrian area on the left,
I would recommend this apartment to anyone and may be back myself one day.

another fab relaxing holiday in lanza

Review Submitted: October 12, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
This was our third visit to Gary's house i(sis complex) in lanzarote. this time we were there with our two sons. The house is well equipped with everything you will ever need during your holiday..........very clean and well appointed. supermarket within 5 mins walk . swimming pool so so clean - well all the area is clean - people who live there are friendly and helpful.
Weather fab - close proximity to numerous amenities - this time we didn't even have a car - walked along the coastal path to the marina rubicon and then another 25 mins to costa blanca..........on the way you pass a smashing beach where we parasailed behind a speedboat and swam in the sea.......the coastal path is wheelchair friendly and mostly flat so no climbing boots required!!! ideal for an evening run or just a stroll. plenty of restaurants in costa blanca and the marina rubicon - grills, chinese, spanish food, italian.....well everything really. lots of shops to browse in in costa blanca plus ferry that takes you over to furteventura. doesn't take long and we visited a friend of mine who lives on that island - sahara desert type beaches - worth a trip. Perfect accomodation for a relaxing or active break in lanzarote.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review Joy!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you continue to want to return to my place in the sun.
I'd recommend a winter break at the house next, if you can fit it in. With wonderful weather, an extra hour of sunlight and cheaper flights, a winter break brings with it a real feel good factor and is a world away from the cold, wet, dark days back home.

We stayed here last April and the apartment impressed us all, it is modern, clean, and decorated to a high standard. The bedrooms were spacious and cool in the heat, the kitchen had everything you could need for a stay away. The complex itself was really friendly and quiet with a nice pool. The marina is only a short walk away, which is in itself nice and is along the sea path. Nearby are lots of nice places to eat and some quiet bars, good for a get away! I would definately go back to this one, and would recommend!

Our week at Mr Aspin's apartment in Playa Blanca

Tomsy Lancashire, England
Review Submitted: September 26, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2007
My wife and I, plus our two friends, enjoyed a wonderful week at this impressive apartment. The accommodation was clean, modern, very well-maintained and had a homely feel. The swimming pool was just yards from the front door and there was parking immediately to the rear. We found the people on the complex very friendly and only too willing to give us the benefit of their local knowledge. The apartment is in one of the quieter parts of Playa Blanca but is still within walking distance of the marina and town centre, where there is a wide range of restaurants to choose from. Our stay was great value for money and the owner even arranged for the return of a pair of shoes we accidentally left behind.

Excelentes vacaciones

ESTER01 Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid, España
Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009

Ester

Great holiday at Playa Blanca

Review Submitted: September 3, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We had a lovely holiday in this house. Our children are aged 10 and 13 and they enjoyed having their own bedroom and bathroom downstairs and we liked having our bedroom upstairs with an en suite and a balcony where we could sit in the evening.

The area with the washing machine and line was great. I think that it is a good idea to have a separate area so that people don't have to hang towels etc over the balcony.

The house was very clean and well equipped. The pool was well maintained and even in August we sometimes had it to ourselves. We had friends staying in a nearby hotel - but I much preferred the house and complex. We had no fighting over sunbeds etc.

We hired a car and I would recommend all of the Manrique sites.

Most days we went to Papagyo beach. Phoebe( aged 10) says that it is her number 1 beach. It is great for snorkelling and there are rock pools to explore. We had lunch in one of the cafes which was very good with excellent views.

The house is very close to the prom and it is just 10 mins walk to the Marina and 20 mins to the town.

I would recommend this house for families.

Gary was very helpful when we booked the house and provided us with useful information before we went.
