Great venue

Nice clean villa with everything you need for a great holiday, our twin boys 7years loved the small pool. We did have a car, but you would not really need one as beach and town is just a small walk away. The town was quiet, but had everything that kept the boys amused. The owner of the property gave clear details and was very helpful with any questions that we had. We would go again. Thanks Steve

Our Week In Fuerteventura

Trev the Lizard Yorkshire
Review Submitted: May 17, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We have recently returned from a week in Fuerteventura staying in this wonderful property. The villa catered for all our needs, and was spotlessly clean. The small private pool at the back of the property was brilliant for cooling off.

Everything you need for a great holiday was provided for, down to games, DVD's, music etc, Steve the owner has thought of everything.

The property is well maintained and is in a great location, close to all the facilities and within easy walking distance to the town centre of Caleta. There are also a range of shops and bars very close to the villa.

We would recommend eating out at Tommy Nutters which provides good food and at very reasonable prices, we would also recommend Gambrinus and El Patio.

There is no need to hire a car due to the location of the property, everything you require is within walking distance and there is also a small train (tren) which can be caught at the end of the road to take you into the centre if you do not feel like walking.

Steve also arranged the taxi transfer from the airport and return journey, which was excellent, and we would recommend this service if you do not hire a car.

We would like to thank Steve for letting us stay in this wonderful villa.

Worth Waiting For

M&D Somerset.

We found the location, layout, facilities exactly as described and all pictures of the villa were very accurate.
Have visited the Island several times and stayed in various S.C.apartments but found the equipment both inside and outside exceptionally good not to mention all the extras of books, games, C.D/Dvd and TV,safe etc.
Eating out on either the front or back patio for every meal was a bonus and a lot of time was spent on the front patio just relaxing.
We had a very quick and smooth pick up from the airport with Janet and Darren who keep the property spotless and very well maintained and were only a phone call away if needed.
With my walking difficulties we were a little apprehensive about the walk down to beach and centre, but our fears were unfounded due to the adequate seating all the way down and of course the mini tren could be taken back up and its still only 1 euro ?
We think the property ideal for families with young children and teenagers or perhaps additonal grandparents. the private sunroof is a sunlovers paradise.
If you did not expect to do much sightseeing the use of a car would not be necessary and the local bus service into Rosario is a luxurious ride, frequent, quick and reasonably priced.
A few minutes walk from the villa takes you into the Monte Castillo centre, with shops, bars and restaurants, and a slightly longer walk in the other direction takes you down to the Mall with supermarket, cinema, shops etc.
We would like to thank Steve for allowing us to carry forward our booking from Nov.2007 which we had to cancel due to ill health and would like to say that from the minute we entered the property it felt so warm and friendly a " real home from home"

Location, location

Location, location.

Ideal location... 10-15 min from airport, 10 min walk into Caleta town and beach, 2 min walk to nearest supermarket, and 5 min drive to the golf course! It was so nice to just relax around the property and go for walks... our hire car didn't move for the first 3 days!

During the shortest days of winter, the sun rose on the front patio at 8.15, continued from 10.00 ‘til 16.00 on the rear pool area, and set on
the roof terrace about 17.30!
Fuerte's pleasant winter temperature dropped to (chilly said the locals!) 18-20C during the day at the start of December... and it was sad to miss the 3 ins of snow that was falling at home!

The house was spotlessly clean and well maintained by local property managers Janet and Darren who had prepared the house for our arrival and were there to greet us and show us around.

The property is ideal for a family holiday. Whether staying for a week or a month it has all you will need.

Everything you could what from a holiday

Bucks 6 Lane End, Bucks, UK
Review Submitted: November 11, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We had 12 lovely days at the house, everything was exactly as described and it's clean, plenty of space for the 6 of us not to have to be on top of each, large front veranda where we had meals, drinks in the evening and breakfast in the mornings, the pool was great to cool of in, the younger ones in our party spent most of the time in there when we weren't at the beach, plenty of books to read which my eldest daughter and partner read avidly, CD's if you want some music, my eldest daughter and her fried loved sunbathing on the roof terrace getting some peace away from the rest of us, there was nothing we could think of that we needed that wasn't there. The house is near enough for a stroll down to the old town for meals and you can either walk back or take a cheap taxi, the best and largest supermarket is spa in the new shopping centre about 25 minutes walk but again taxis wait right outside if you don't want the walk back up hill. Best beach for sand is the one near the spa and for shallow water with lots of fish swimming around you which the kids love the beach in the old town. Plenty of restaurants of all types serving english and foreign food, best restaurant we found was Gambrinus in the old town for food and hospitality. The sports bar was also very good as we couldn't be without watching x factor and the grand prix, various shops to wander round. It's far cheaper to have a full english breakfast out if you want one than cook yourself as english bacon in the supermarkets is very expensive. No need to have a car at all. The property managers are on hand should you need them. We found that our 6 seater taxi falied to arrive to take us back the airport and it's the only one in the resort so Darren took half of us and the rest went by taxi, nothing was too much trouble. We though the house was good value for money and would certainly visit again and recommend to others.

our 3 week break

The whole process from the 1st enquiry to Steve (the owner) right through to being met at the house by Darren (property manager) was as smooth as silk, no problems at all and very pleasant.

The house was just perfect, there were 4 adults and 3 children staying in the house and it was plenty big enough for us all, the outside space is great with a really cool front patio area that easily accomadated us all where we had the odd evening meal and many a late nightcap :-) - we had a few rooftop BBQ's too using the BBQ at the house, the food tasted much better whilst looking out at the sea view.

The best thing about the house had to be the little pool in the rear garden, it was a god send because it kept the kids occupied during the late afternoons once we arrived back at the house after our days out, without it we would have had our work cut out to keep them occupied.

The house is in a great position, far enough away from any hustle and bustle but near enough to all the amenities - NO CAR NEEDED WHEN STAYING HERE, there is a little "train" which drops off and picks up at the end of the road every half an hour and takes you into/from the town and beach for 1euro - brilliant !

The house is very clean and tidy, the ceiling fans and extra fans proved very popular during the hot nights. The safe is a nice thing to have too just for peace of mind.

The English property managers were very helpful and only a phone call away.

I would recommend this house to anyone, why stay in a tiny apartment when you can stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks so much Steve for allowing us the use of your lovely house.

Andy and the family & friends.

One of our favourite holiday destinations.

We've stayed at this lovely, home from home villa several times and enjoyed everything about it. It's extremely well equiped, well maintained and beautifully clean. The private pool in the back garden, is wonderful for cooling off after sunbathing in the garden or on the roof top terrace, and the property is close enough to walk to the beach, or if you're feeling energetic, around the coastal path.
Shops and public transport are close by, and if you hire a car this property is in a brilliant central position to go either to the Wild North or the Sandy South of the Island.
Would we go back again? Like a shot! We thoroughly recomend both the Villa and the island.
