The Costa Blanca

Benissalovers Oxford
Review Submitted: August 19, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We spent three fantastic weeks in this super apartment owned by Slyvia and Bill Watson. It catered for all our needs, and its location is beautiful. Local beaches, restaurants, bars and shops were great. We were very sad to leave this ideal holiday home. Bill and Slyvia were the perfect hosts, we will be back to see them soon!

Costa Blanca holiday in July 2009

Lydia and Tim London, UK
Review Submitted: July 26, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The apartment is situated in a very quiet residential area of Benissa but is close to several beaches whilst being away from the tourist-concentrated areas. Bill and Sylvia are very friendly and helpful and they made us feel welcome.

The apartment represents excellent value for money for a one-bedroom apartment and we enjoyed our breakfast and dinner in the tranquility of the garden available with the apartment. The apartment is well equpped and has some unexpected extras including a beach umbrella. We recommend a car is essential if you want to travel around the local area (which is well worth doing).

A couple of beaches are located within a 15-min walk. Personally, we enjoyed swimming in the sea at La Fustera which is less than 10-mins by car from the apartment and has a sandy beach. The location of the apartment is very close to Xabia, Moraria, Calpe and Denia. Denia is the furthest (around a 1-hour drive away at most). We recommend visiting Gaudalest in particular, which is very beautiful and historic. A solar-powered boat trip on the reservoir was also very relaxing and enjoyable.

We enjoyed the relaxing coastal walks nearby and the more challenging mountaineous walks in Montgo and San Antonio. We really enjoyed the sunshine, the sweet fruit and the Spanish food. It gave us the ideal break away from London.

Owner's Response: Having a review with guests personal experiences and information they have collected is an excellent guide for others visiting the apartment.

A delightful location that was ideal for the local bays and Moraira. The apartment offered more than we imagined and was very comfortable and well equipped, the garden was an added bonus in which we enjoyed breakfast and evening drinks. Sylvia & Bill made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them, thank you ! This part of Spain is wonderful and we certainly hope to return to explore more. Sue & Ric

A Happy Christmas

Wirral Cheshire
Review Submitted: January 28, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
We have been to the area previously and we wanted a cosy Christmas in lovely surroundings. The apartment is a lovely place to be and the little Christmas tree, card and wine gave us a warm welcome. Sylvia and Bill were very kind and helpful but ensured our privacy. We had some great walks in the Bernia and along the coastal path and of course lots of coffees in Moraira. The apartment provides everything we needed and is most definitely a little gem set in a beautiful garden. We had some really good meals at various places in the Jalon Valley .
We would most certainly recommend this villa for a great holiday

Bill & Sylvia's " Place In The Sun "

Kelvin & Sue Yate, Bristol
Review Submitted: October 31, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We knew the area, both inland and along the scenic coast, and used this holiday to explore a retirement home for ourselves. Our apartment catered for all our needs and the washing m/c enabled us to share 1 suitcase, a cost saving on Easyjet! A beautiful tranquil base with warm friendly hosts. A hire car is a must, as it is a 15 minute walk downhill to the coast road and a further 15 minutes to the better supermarket. Thanks Bill for the introduction to Juan, the estate agent, and the six viewings, but as we told you, nothing measured up to the build quality and finish of your own villa. These kind comments don't mean you can increase your rates. We will expect a special price when we return for a longer stay perhaps. We can thoroughly recommend a scenic drive to an area we had already visited, Castell de Castells, population 500, a favourite base for walkers. The mountain scenery is breathtaking. An ascent of one of the nearest peaks to a ruined castle will reward you with fantastic views of Guadalest, the lake and nearby villages. A 4 course menu del dia with a pleasant shared bottled of Rioja will only set you back 9 euros each at Antonio's bar " Herbas ". Suggest you take a stroll around this quaint village afterwards and perhaps visit the museum. Bill and Sylvia, we will return!

We stayed in this apartment from Sept 22th until Oct 6th 2008. The owners are extremely friendly and make your stay very plesent. All you need is available. It is situated central between Moraira (our favorite town) and Calpe in a quiet urbanisation. You do need a car.

A little piece of paradise

What a glorious place to spend a holiday! The beautifully equipped apartment is light and airy and set in the owners private gardens which are splendid. As a guest, we had our own private garden for eating out in the balmy evenings. The area offers beautiful scenery and wonderful beaches and is ideal as a base for touring the northern Costa Blanca. Sylvia and Bill (the owners) are so hospitable but not intrusive. WE WILL RETURN. Thankyou for a wonderful visit.

What a perfect place for a relaxing & enjoyable holiday from the warm welcome from Bill & Sylvia(the owners) who made us feel that nothing was too much trouble even ferrying us into town to pick up the rental car to the beautiful apartment offering comfort and style including every item needed plus a stunning garden with our own private outdoor dining area, a real home from home! The area offers something for everyone, beautiful scenery, extensive beaches some with water sports and a taste of traditional Spain in the small villages. This is Spain at its best.
