Fantastic Holiday

We have just returned (22 Aug 2009) and would highly recommend this villa. We were two families sharing and the villa is ideal and very spacious. We were met promptly by the housekeeper and shown around - a generous welcome pack and the basic's also plentiful. The pool is great, a fantastic temperature and a great size for swimming or lying on a lilo! All kitchen equipment etc is of a high standard, we had a BBQ, 12 nights and the brick built BBQ was good, although we would recommend a car to buy a good supply of fresh food especially meat - we found a butcher in Cala D'0r. Cala Murada is a very quiet resort but the restaurants we visited did lovely food, but we preferred to BBQ and enjoy the villa. We were able to contact both the housekeeper and the owner with any query and always received a prompt reply. We would definatley highly recommend this Villa.

We have just returned (3rd Aug 2009) from this lovely villa . Had a great holiday. Perfect for us as we are a group of 8 friends all women. The villa was spacious , light, airy and beautifully furnished and decorated. It was also spotlessly clean. It was nice to find loads of toilet rolls, tissues and cleaning materials. Also many basics oil, salt, pepper, herbs etc and a very welcome "welcome basket." The wine in the fridge was also much appreciated. We have had many self catering holidays on the island and it is a bonus not to have to buy all of these things on arrival. We arrived by taxi and managed without a car as the main aim of our holiday is total relaxation. The villa was perfect for this. Initially we were slightly worried as there were other properties around us. however we were completely unaware of anyone at all. The walk to the shop was manageable and we took a taxi ( local firm just down the road where the lady was so friendly and spoke excellent English) to a larger supermarket nearby to do a "big shop." She waited for us and brought us back. The pool was brilliant and we were delighted with the amount of sun loungers and with the outside terrace and table where we ate every night, Would have no hesitation in recomending this villa.

Wonderful family holiday

We had a fabulous holiday in this villa at the end of May. The photos and descriptions were all accurate and there was more than plenty of room for a family of five. There was plenty of outside space too - the gardens are beautiful and the pool is fantastic - infact this is where our children spent most of the holiday! They needed their wetsuits at this time of year though as the water was quite chilly. The villa had everything you could need and many extra touches. The local restaurants were child friendly. we did explore the island a little but, as the weather was excellent, we spent a lot of time relaxing around the villa which was our aim! The owner corresponded well with us and sent good directions for arrival. The villa was generally clean on arrival - the problems with the fridge and dishwasher were mentioned to the owner but these did not detract from the holiday at all. the pool maintenance man came as expected and did not disturb us. We would highly recommend this villa to other families wanting a peaceful location with plenty of space for children and cant wait to return next year as we have already reserved dates!!

Excellent Holiday Villa

After intensive searching for a holiday villa that would suit 2 families with 2 young children we luckily came across La Casa Rosa. On arrival at the property we were not disappointed in the slightest in fact we thought that the photos of the property did not do it justice. The property is very clean, spacious inside and out, and as other people have mentioned, the property is ideal for 2 families as you have separate sides of the villa so you don't feel at all crowded. The pool is delightful and was very much appreciated by all, especially the children, we experienced very warm weather therefore the pool was warmed to a lovely temperature by the sun. The villa has other properties around it but it was very private and we didnt encounter anyone until we visited the local shops and restaurants which were all child friendly and offered a very good standard of food. The local beach was a short drive away with a restaurant right next to the beach. We spent most of our holiday at the villa as the aim of our holiday was to get away from the stress of everyday life and relax for a week, the villa certainly ticked all the boxes for us and is like a home from home with the little touches that you would maybe not expect from renting a villa. We would thoroughly recommend this villa and would like to thank Stephen & Rose for a great holiday!

I had the opportunity to take my extended family to Mallorca for a big family celebration. With ten of us travelling, I was nervous that we would be 'squashed in' and on top of each other. My worries however were unfounded as La Casa Rosa certainly lived up to it's description on the rentals website. We certainly had more than enough space for us all to ratlle around in and there was no fighting for the sunbeds! The village itself is delightful, almost like stepping back in time and although the restaurants were but a few, the quality and value for money was quite exceptional.

Great Holiday

Sol y Vida Swindon
Review Submitted: January 7, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
My partner and I stayed at this villa for our summer break during September, and we were very impressed by the villa's overall exclusive standard. The villa has 4 great sized bedrooms with king/queen sized beds, large well equipped bathrooms, modern kitchen/diner room with all the fittings available for a luxury holiday. The villa is in a great location on the island of mallorca for a restful holiday, or for exploring on day trips which is what we enjoyed. The great size swimming pool was ideal for lazy days when you don't wish to venture out, and is ideal for families. The villa is set within its own large private grounds, with a nice garden aspect and has its own large drive with main gate for added security, which we found ideal. The local village is only a 5min walk away & another 5mins takes you to the local blue flag beach, which is great for couples or families with children. We enjoyed a great holiday and would definitely stay at this villa again, next time we visit Mallorca if available.

Disappointed

Easter Cheshire
Review Submitted: December 16, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
My family and I have one holiday a year and were very disappointed with this villa and its owners. We stayed at Casa Rosa for 2 weeks in August 08. On arrival we were informed by the caretaker that there was no hot water. It soon became apparent that the owners had been aware of this problem before we left the UK but failed to inform us. Since a plumber was due to inspect we made the best of things. Unfortunately we had little or no hot water throughout the holiday. Added to this major upset were the following -

Dirty pool, main entrance door lock broke, dirty oven and fridge, mid week clean only partially completed.

The owners organised a pool clean and repair of the lock and returned our cleaning deposit. However, given the rental rates for this villa we had expected more, especially as the villa was described as new. It is not, it is at least 3 years old and appears older still.
Owner's Response: This family had a problem with the pressure of the hot water and unfortunately did not want any plumbing work carried out whilst in residence. The boilder was new and not faulty in any way. Unfortunately there was a leak to the hot water pipe causing a reduction in pressure. With two families we do recommend that you stagger the showering times allowing sufficient time for the hot water to replenish.

The popular ´holiday skin´ fake tans have caused problems, they cause an orangey scum on the pool side which can take two days to filter through the sand filter. It is essential that everybody showers before entering the pool to keep the pool and water quality to a high standard. We have a regular pool man cleaning the pool throughout the year and during the summer months the cleaning is increased. I know there is a balance between keeping skin protected because of exposure to sun, but the sun creams do quickly cause films to be present in the water.

The main entrance door lock was broken during this client´s visit, this was an unfortunate incident. We have a contract with our local locksmiths who offer a 24 - 48 hour service and I am pleased to say it was repaired within two days. There was no secuity issue as the family were able to lock the external security shutter to the door in question and of course the lockable main entrance gates.

We have a contract with a house-keeper who cleans the villa on change-over, and we have not received any complaints previously with this service.

I am pleased to say that we offered this family a free holiday and some complimentary restaurant vouchers.

If a family experiences any problems whatsoever they are encouraged to contact the house-keeper who lives only two minutes away and if they cannot resolve things with her they can call me direct.

Hot Holiday

Review Submitted: September 15, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
It's not often I come up trumps when selecting a holiday abroad and it was not without trepidation that my family and I hot footed it off to Mallorca this year. It was my first experience with self-booking and I found the Holiday Rentals website really easy to use and very informative. We selected property 61483 purely based on what we saw in the photographs and what was written in the text, but the gamble sure paid off and my family and I had one of the best holidays ever. The villa is really spacious and in a super location. The swimming pool was really fabulous and well maintained. The village itself is really quaint and very inviting - ideally suited to those who want quiet lazy evenings in a handful of really superb restaurants. La Dorada run by Manuel and Maria was our favourite. The €15 menu of the day is extensive and we were spoilt for choice. The villa and the village are definitely on my list of 'must try to repeat the experience'!

Heading to spain on a family holiday could have led to disaster. But this villa has a vast amount of living space so having 6 adult family members and a toddler to contend with the various areas were a god send. Also air con throughout made the august heat wave bareable. Also the pool is a fantastic size for a family hol. We did have one small prob but the villa owners were quick to sort it out.

Wonderfull vacation

Last year my wife visited the villa. What you see is what you get. A faboulous villa in a beautiful tranquil location. My wife and I were astounded at the size of the villa and the luxoury it afforded. The villa as promised was quite an tranquil with a handful of super restaurants. The location was ideal for exploring the quieter side of Mallorca. It was comforting to know that the housekeeper lived in the village. She was very helpful and even popped around to show us how to use the television. The swimming pool was very clean and we even had a welcome pack on arrival which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. Great choice- I would give it 5 stars and we would definitely go back again!
