Great Break in Le Couperin

Jim and Linda from Kirriemuir Tayside, Scotland
Review Submitted: September 24, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had an absolutely fabulous break in Nice this summer. The weather was wonderful, and the apartment (Le Couperin) did just what it said on the tin.

It was spacious, well equipped and very conveniently located.

Peter and Sue couldn't have been more helpful. Meeting us at the bus stop and walking us from there to Le Couperin took away much of the stress from the first day of the holiday, and set us up well for the rest of our stay.

We made good use of Nice's excellent public transport: for the first week we bought a 7-day bus/tram pass for 15 euros. This covered the bus fare from the airport to the town on Day 1, and gave us freedom to explore lots of different parts of Nice and its immediate environs. Le Couperin was very centrally located, and we had absolutely no difficulty in getting to and from bus stops/tram stops.

There were some excellent boulangeries and charcuteries very close at hand. We made more use of these than we did of the many nearby restaurants. We found eating out in Nice this time around was quite expensive, but Le Couperin was extremely comfortable, and sufficiently spacious to make eating in a most pleasurable activity.

All in all, we would thoroughly recommend Le Couperin unreservedly. We'll definitely be going back.

Weekly stay in Nice

B+H North Wales
Review Submitted: April 5, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
I can thoroughly recommend this flat, both for its location and for the actual furnishings . There is a lot of thought that has gone into providing a well equiped flat. We ceratinly lacked for nought during our week long stay. The Indian Silverbills chirruping outside the balcony was extremely thoughtful! The location is quiet yet not too far from all amenties. We will try to book this again next time we are in Nice.

ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME

The Broons Edinburgh Scotland
Review Submitted: July 2, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Not sure I should write this as the more people who know of this really great apartment, the less chance I have of getting it again.
It is in a very quiet area but is only minutes away from the Promenade and the station in the opposite direction.
A very airy and spacious apartment with all the conveniences, it is a pleasure to return to after being in the sun all day. Just back from our second visit and will be back if possible. Sue & Peter are so helpful and accomodating and feel like old friends.

Spacious and tranquil

Joanne + Sean Beckenham, Kent
Review Submitted: May 31, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
This is a great flat to stay in - spacious, clean, well located and well equipped. But also close to a mini-supermarket, boulangerie/patisserie and restaurant if you don't want to cook or go into the centre of town.
Ten minute walk down to the Promenade, and less than that in the other direction to the train station for exploring further afield.
Sue and Peter answered all of our questions with ease - and though only there for three days we had a really great, relaxing break.
Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

A real joy to stay in and lovely owners!

First of all I should say that having travelled a lot, it's extremely rare to find an apartment that turns out to be exactly what the pictures and details describe.

Le Couperin lived up to our full expectations and was a wonderful base for our holiday. The entrance to the apartment is immaculately clean and the other tenants within the building were very courteous. The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and has all the amenities that you could ask for. It supplies a real home from home comfort where you feel very safe.

Peter and Sue who own the apartment are lovely, friendly people who will give you a fabulous welcome and immediately make you feel at home.

The recommendations that Peter and Sue gave us for places to visit proved very helpful. The location of the apartment is ideally situated to reach the town and transport links into surrounding areas, whilst still giving a quiet, peaceful environment in which to enjoy breakfasts and evening meals on the sunny terrace.

We will be recommending Le Couperin to our family and friends and can't wait for the opportunity to stay in the apartment again.

Thanks again to Peter and Sue for helping to make our holiday so relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to meeting you both again in the future.

Attractive apartment in Nice

Mike and Sue Norwich, England
Review Submitted: April 14, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2007
This is a lovely, well appointed apartment in a good location in Nice.
It is on a quiet side street with the bedroom overlooking a rear courtyard so noise at night is minimal.
It is situated away from the main tourist area around Place Messina and the old town but near enough to be able to dip in and out of it . It is about ten minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais, fifteen minutes from Place Messina and the railway station and about twenty minutes walk to the bus station - an ideal location for a lot of activities.
The description of the apartment was accurate and we were not disappointed. It was very clean and well maintained. The owners, Peter and Sue, are friendly, approachable and accomodating and they try their best to satisfy your requirements. We like to think we have become friends as a result of our stay.
One of the attractions of the apartment for us was the balcony, which faces the evening sunshine until it drops behind the building opposite- we were able to eat (and drink!) until quite late without feeling the need to go indoors.
Another attraction is that the apartment is located in a part of the city which enables visitors to meet and mix with the local residents - great for practising your French, which incidentally is much appreciated by the local shopkeepers. It is possible to use small specialist shops or the supermarket, which is about a ten minute walk.
I would definately recommend this apartment to a friend. This was our first visit to Nice and the fact that we loved it had a lot to do with this apartment and the people who own it.
