Outstanding Flat/rental

Fantastic home in quite/upscale neighborhood to return and relax in after long days on the go. The apt. is warm, comfortable and has all the necessities you'll need. The "Tube" station is a 5-7 minute walk approx. 5 blocks, up stairs/over train tracks to "Olympia-Kensington" station which is a limited line (runs about 4 times an hour) however one stop away is "Earl's Court" which has the District/Circle/Piccadily lines. If you have laptop, apt. has good speed internet service which you can go to a web page (this company will not allow me to put the web site address in my review) If you search tubeplanner on the web, there is a great web site that will find quickest or easiest route with estimated time and tells you what stops to transfer at. The bus stop about 2-3 blocks and once you figure out where you need to go/which direction/bus to take, it's a great way to see the City and get your bearings. There is a small market just downstairs which we were pleasantly surprised at how well it was stocked. The best part is we would wake each morning to the smell of bread/bakery items baking. There is also a "Waitrose" 2 bus stops or about a 15 minute walk away which if you bring the apt. address/zip code, they will deliver at no charge.
We have rented many private homes (prefer over hotels) and what most impressed us was the owner. She was OUTSTANDING for customer service! She was expedient in answering questions before and during our stay. We visited close to Thanksgiving and in an attempt to make a Thanksgiving dinner for our daugher and a few of her friends who are studying abroad, we were unable to locate a turkey. I asked Yvonne if she might know where we could get one, and without hesitation, she told us not to worry about it, that she would make sure we had one. We told her the day we needed it and she went above & beyond. She ordered and delivered the turkey as well as additional pots/pans, electric carving knife, etc. Yvonne went above and beyond what we would expected. She is friendly, attentive, but not at all intrusive.
We would HIGHLY recommend this appartment/flat. We also extend our Thank-you and appreciation to Yvonne for sharing her place and making this feel like a home away from home.

I traveled with a friend to London in September 2009 for a vacation. The apartment was a wonderful option for two adults traveling together. It was charming and tidy place and just the right size. There were two comfortable bedrooms and two baths, providing plenty of room. The living areas of the apartment were bright, nicely furnished and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of crockery for cooking and there was a washing machine for clothes washing. There was no clothes dryer, but clothes dried quickly when hung to dry.
The neighborhood was very quiet and very close to the Olympia tube station. There were several small markets for simple purchases and a well stocked Waitrose market a few blocks away. Yvonne, the owner of the apartment was very helpful and provided us with a number of resources and information, including information on a wonderful transportation service. We could not have had a lovelier place to stay. The apartment is highly recommended!

An excellent holiday rental for stays in London. Perfect for 2 couples travelling together. Fully equipped modern appliances with close proximity to major shopping. Ample cooking utensils and sufficient crockery for entertaining. Bedrooms located upstairs providing separation from immediate living area. High quality linens provided for beds and bath. Good water pressure for showers. Living area is comfortable with LCD TV and easy connect Wi-Fi if you have a laptop.
Apartment was very clean with lots of supplies available for our use (soaps, detergents, broom etc.). Kitchen also had initial supply of coffee filters, limited spices, cooking oil etc.
Terrace with chairs and picnic table available for warm weather stays.
Location: easy access to Kensington High Street buses (2 minutes) and Kensington High Street Underground (15 minutes). Olympia Underground is closer but less convenient. Easy enjoyable walk to Kensington Gardens & Palace, Portabello Road, Notting Hill etc. Holland Park (5 minutes) beautiful natural area.
Friendly owner who met us uppon arrival and provided good explanation of accommodation and nearby services. Apartment contained good supply of maps and directions.
Local neighbourhood shop owners very helpful with additional directions when required.
Points to consider:
Kitchen table can seat 4 only but additional can sit around coffee table in living room.
Two full sets of narrow stairs - apartment living space is above store front and bedrooms are an additional flight of stairs.
All in all.... staying at this location proved to be a highlight of our trip to the UK. Highly recommended.

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) would highly recommend this accommodation. It was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped; just as advertised. Yvonne was very gracious, welcoming, and helpful in giving recommendations about the nearby restaurants, shopping and attractions. The apartment was very close to transit (both the underground and buses) and High Street was only a short walk away as well. We actually arrived in London by train, took the underground to the apartment (short walk, about 2 blocks) and again used the underground to get to the airport when we were leaving. There is no need for a car or taxi from this apartment's location. It was lovely to relax on the deck after a long day of sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our 8 day stay in this lovely Kensington apartment. I was with my wife and 2 adult daughters and there was plenty of room for all, especially with the 2 bathrooms and outside terrace. The apartment is fully equiped and was exactly as it appears on the web site. The location provided a perfect base from which to explore London either by underground or bus. The latter was our preferred method. Staying in Kensington was also nice as it enabled us to experience some of the local life away from the main tourist areas. Don't hesitate to rent this apartment as it sure beats staying in a hotel. The reservation process was easy and Yvonne, the owner was quick to respond by e-mail to any questions that I had prior to our arrival.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Appartment in der Innenstadt von London.
Die nächste U-Bahn Station ist (Kensingten Olympia oder Kensigten Highstreet direkt um die Ecke (2 bzw 5 min Fußweg).
Zur Versorgung mit Lebensmitteln ein kleiner Laden direkt nebenan (mit täglich frischen Brötchen etc.)
Die Wohnung ist sauber und gut ausgestattet (besonders die Küche, Sat Fernseher und WIFI Internetzugang). Besonders gut hat uns auch die kleine Terasse gefallen.
Netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, alles hat zu unserer (Familie mit 2 Kindern) vollsten Zufriedenheit geklappt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Outstanding Holland Park/Kensington Flat

This is an outstanding Kensington flat with a convenient location. Within a short walk you can hop on the Underground or take a stroll in Holland Park. There are also great restaurants nearby. The flat has everything you will need for your stay and there is a small food shop downstairs and a pub. This flat is on a quite street and the neighborhood is tree lined with young families. This flat is great for families with children! The owner was extremely helpful with suggestions and the booking was painless.

I took two teenagers and a nine year old to London and spent the week in this fabulous apartment.
The flat is clean and spacious and has all the gadgets you will need (multi channel TV, WiFi,coffee maker,hair straighteners).
The location is perfect for the underground,buses and for walking . The area is very quiet and safe and is surrounded by beautiful architecture and historic buildings. The local shops are great too.
A special mention for Yvonne the owner who is kindness personified.
We will definitely be back.

This Kensington apartment was in a great position. Close to tube stations, shops and restaurants - all within an easy walk. The pub, just two doors down, was convenient for an easy, inexpensive meal when you just wanted a quiet night in. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything needed for a holiday already in it. It was well maintained and modern. The owner met us on our arrival, making sure we knew where everything was and how to work the TV etc. It was recommended to me by a friend and I would be happy to recommend it myself to others. I would certainly stay there again.

We stayed for five days in this lovely and perfectly situated two-story flat in early January 2009. The arrival and checkout service by the owner was top notch. The place is small but beautiful (and exactly as shown on the website) and more than enough space for four people (we were three - only used one of the beds in the second bedroom). It was nice to have two full bathrooms, although the shower pressure in the master bath was quite weak (it was fine in the second bath). The apartment is fully equipped with every convenience needed. Some best features - comfort, great TV and wifi, located just above a wonderful little grocery/bakery (with devine croissants & pain au chocolats in the mornings) and a great pub just a few steps away. It's a 2-block walk to Kensington/Olympia tube station, 10-15 minutes to Kensington High Street station, and near many great shops and restaurants on Kensington High Street. Postino restaurant on this street was especially good - wonderful Italian food & service and great atmosphere. Holland Park nearby is great for walking & running. We loved coming "home" in the evenings. A wonderful place that we will definitely consider for future visits to the city. Highly recommended, and the owner - Yvonne - is simply delightful to work with - and VERY responsive!
