Young Couple Getaway: June 15th - 22nd 2009

Just back from holiday and had a great time! The apartment was great and had everything you could possibly need. Big bed, well equiped kitchen, washing machine, tv, dvd with a good selection of dvd's to choose from.
The balcony had the sun from around noon until sunset which is great if your wanting to top up your tan while someone else cooks. The views were stunning and are worth the visit alone.
Complex was quiet so you have the pool to yourself. The snack bar was great serving lunches and cheap drinks (e.g. bottle of bud was 2 euros). Barry and Leslie who run the bar are very friendly and happy to chat away recommending restaurants etc for you to try.
There is an internet cafe in the complex inside the small shop.
There are plenty of supermarkets around and I found prices to be quite reasonable even though friends warned me of Tenerife being expensive.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants about however if you go down to the centre of San Eugenio you can expect hassle from people urging you into their bars or restaurants. I highly recommend Mamma's which is halfway down the hill. Food and service was first class and was modestly priced as well.
Mar & Bamboo was our favourite and was so good we went back again; The venue was fantastic with great interior design and the food beat Mamma's ever so slighly. This restaurant is located right down by the harbour on the corner.
Word of warning - do not eat at Harley's!!! It is similar to that of TGI Fridays. It is over priced, food is below average and we waited half an hour for starters then a further hour for our main course; to top it off they short changed us 10 euros which I had to wait 15 minutes to get back.
The apartment is close to Las Americas; 2 mile walk or 7 euro taxi. We only ventured into the lively part for one night as where we stayed had enough entertainment for us. Good to see o'neils, bobby's and tramps still there but the whole strip was a little quite; not sure if we were just outside season. Still it was busy enough to have a good night.
David picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the appartment for a modest fee of 15 euros; cracking deal as there is no need to hunt for your accomodation. However if David is taking you back to the airport again; make sure you leave the money in the apartment otherwise he'll tell you to buy a drink. So to David & Sandra, thanks for a wonderful holiday and thanks for the drink ;)
Would stay again and would recommend!
