Home from home near Nice old town

Tha apartment has a spacious living area with a well equipped kitchen area. It would be easy to cook your own meals though we didn't - too many restaurants to try. The master bedroom is also very roomy with an interesting and large en suite - glass bricks separate it from the bedroom rather than being self contained. We liked it. The second bedroom is smaller and totally adequate, with storage space. The second shower room has a large shower and toilet; the wash basin is small of necessity and a small price to pay for a second bathroom. The owners clearly love and use this apartment - there are novels, games, guidebooks, cookery books, a really useful folder of information. For us, having Sky plus and a pc with broadband connection were very useful - we like to stay in touch when we are away though some might not. They were especially useful since the weather was pretty wet in late March, early April. We like the location. We've been to Nice before and like to be close to the old town and within easy walking distance of the Promenade des Anglais. The bus station is only 5 mins walk away. Although the apartment is on a busy street corner, traffic dwindles to nothing at night and we were not particularly disturbed by street noise. The advantage of a corner position is the light and increased opportunities for street watching! The building is old but the property well maintained, clean and furnished to a high quality. The owner was very helpful, responded quickly and provided good service. We would stay there again.
