The ladies running these apartments really make the holiday, so helpfull & friendly. They are happy to collect & drop you back to the airport at no charge - and are always on site or contactable by phone to help with anything while you are on holiday. The apartments are walking distance from the town (up hill on the way back) or close by to the bus stop if you don't fancy the walk (aprox 20 mins). You can also hire a car from the apartment owners if you want, we did & it was very reasonable. From Cavtat you can go by water taxi, or bus to Dubrovnik - not to be missed! The apartments are simple but very well equipped, clean and the towels were changed mid week. The pool area is lovely, with a fantastic veiw across the bay to Dubrovnik. Would highly recommend for couples and families, and would visit again.

We had a wonderful holiday at these apartments recently. The views towards Dubrovnik over the bay are exceptional with beautiful sunsets. Jadranka and Paula are very helpful and kind and offer information and advice about the local area and places further afield to visit. They also arranged car hire which we used for two days;on one of these we drove to Montenegro and around the bay of Kotor with some beautiful scenery. We used local buses and boats to get around and walked into Cavtat, which is not over developed, a very pleasant down hill walk of about 15 minutes to a beach and about 30 minutes to the centre where there is a good selection of restaurants and a lovely harbour to stroll around. There is also a watersports centre. The owners offered lifts back up to the apartments, and also collected from the airport. The swimming pool area is very well maintained, and has the view across the bay. The apartments are well equipped and very clean, with linen and towells changed frequently. In Cavtat it is possible to arrange excursions such as to Mostar or a variety of boat trips.

Holiday in Cavtat

A very nice, clean and well equipped two bed apartment with a great view overlooking the bay towards Dubrovnik. There was a nice pool area shared with the other apartment residents. The supermarket was a very short (100m) walk and had pretty much everything you need.

The apartment is located approximately a 5 - 10 mins bus ride from the restaurants etc in Cavtat. We usually walked there (nb. it is a very steep hill!) taking about 20 mins or so but got the bus back (they run very regularly). I think older people may struggle with walking around - there aren't any pavements to speak of in the area.

Dubrovnik was a short 30 - 40 minute bus ride away and the old city is really lovely. We'd recommend walking around the city walls.

We also went to the Islands by boat from Cavtat - its quite a long trip to the first island but well worth the visit. The waters are crystal clear and make sure you pack your swimming togs.

The owner, Jadranka, was very helpful - picked us up and dropped off at the airport as well as driving us down to Cavtat on the first night for dinner. Her colleagues were also very helpful and if needed would give advice about day trips and car hire.

The meals were more expensive than we anticipated. The meat and fish were all very nice but the side vegetables were a little bland - either chips (fried) or boiled potatoes with spinach! Restuarant Leut was very enjoyable and we also went to a a very nice place by the bus stop (sadly I can't remember the name but it wasn't Restaurant Ivan, which was also by the bus station but overlooked the harbour!).

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment in May and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment and swimming pool were very clean and well maintained. The owners, Jadranka and Paula, could not have been more friendly and helpful, giving lifts back up the hill whenever required and supplying lots of information about the area. Transfers from and to the airport worked out perfectly. The area is very picturesque and the people very friendly. The restaurants we ate in were all very good. I would certainly recommend it to my friends. Hopefully will return sometime in the future.

The views were spectacular, the accomodation was great, Jadranka couldn't do enough for us taxiing us back and forth into Cavtat where there were some superb restaurants. Its also an excellent spot for relaxing and a visit to the historic town of Dubrovnik is a must and only 30 minutes away on a regular bus.

Will definitely return when credit crunch allows!!!

Great Holiday Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks stay here. The apartments have superb views across the bay. They are well situated to minimise travel to and from the airport, without any significant noise disturbance. The family running the apartments could not have been more helpful, paricularly with free airport transport and to & from Cavat town. The only downside is the distance & gradient to Cavtat, but this was overcome by the free transport. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped and the pool was a welcome bonus. All in all a most enjoyable holiday.

cavtat holiday

Review Submitted: July 17, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
This was a lovely apartment although a bit small (we stayed in a 1 bed apartment) The view from the balcony is amazing. The swimming pool was lovely. Jadranka is very friendly welcoming and helpful. The apartment, pool and the whole property was spotlessly clean. Cavtat is a lovely town and we had a great holiday here. I think it is advisable to have a car if you are staying here.

We are normally used to having a self contained villa in the usual european destinations but this was (is) a first class alternative. Very comfortable, nicely placed with regard to airport, beach and Cavtat town centre. Easy access to ferry boats to Dubrovnic, all the coastal tourist places accessible by ferry - no need to hire a car. The most charming and memorable aspect of our stay was the warm hospitality extended to us by Jadranka and her family who support her in running the business. Jadranka readily provided touring information with the same ease and friendliness as when she dropped off a bag of figs or veg for our use. The panoramic view is as the sunset picture above - it was easy to achieve the same for our record.
Good honest accommodation in handy location with best landlady.
