Just back from a wonderful week at Le Crann. The accomodation in the 16th century cottage provided a feel of rustic france with all the mod cons, accomodation was well kept, clean and very user friendly. Our group included 2 under 5's who were very well catered for with a cot, highchairs etc. they also thoroughly enjoyed the running around space and play facilities on offer. The private swimming pool was also lovely and was used every day.
The owners live on site and offer a wide range of local knowledge which was useful.
The local area provided beautiful countryside and access to local towns and beaches within 40mins drive, a car is essential to explore this area. I am sure we will be back and would definitely recommend this holiday to friends particularly those with children.

A Wonderful Week

Wisteria cottage is a beautiful and spacious property in which we could truly spread out and relax. (A definate need when you have three small children) Surrounded by a huge and well-maintained garden complete with a selection of toys, climbing frame and two delightfully warm swimming pools our children were more than happy to gad about for hours.(Bliss!)

The Owners are wonderfully warm and welcoming and provide a wealth of accurately sourced and very useful information. They pay careful attention to detail and we felt thoroughly well looked after.

The area is surrounded by pretty, wooded walks, bridle paths and sleepy rivers and we had a wonderful day cycling along the local river. Would also recommend a trip to Carnac where you can enjoy a variety of beaches (great rockpools) and cafes. Young children tend to only really appreciate megalithic stones they can climb on, so if you want to avoid an out-pouring of seriously resentful (and often painfully loud) boredom, we wouldn't recommend a visit to the stones for lively children under the age of seven!

We also enjoyed a trip to a lake where there was a variety of water sports and a beach. Swimming was refreshing but would recommend limiting your time lest hypothermia take hold! (NIce to get back to those heated pools!) The local pizzeria serves a good variety of scrumptious and hot Pizzas.

Over all we had an interesting fun-filled week where we could thoroughly indulge in all aspects of family life. The property and the owners simply added that extra dimension to the holiday which truly enables you to relax to the max!! We had a fabulous time and I would recommend Wisteria cottage to any family looking for a peaceful holiday where they can enjoy a range of activities and have quality time with their loved ones!

Wisteria Cottage - St. Yvres Bubry

Wisteria Cottage is a beautiful & picturesque cottage in a glorious setting. It is well maintained and was scrupulously clean on arrival. The owners who live nearby - approx 30 metres are very friendly and welcoming. The swimming pools are equally clean and well maintained by the owners and the grounds are glorious and similarly to the pool and cottage, they are kept to a high standard. We had a very relaxing week at Wisteria Cottage and with 6 children in tow we were never short of entertainment on site or within easy reach.

Gallic Country Charm

Porthcothan Swindon, Wiltshire, United Kingdom
Review Submitted: June 3, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My family and I spent a thoroughly delightful week in early spring at this charming country cottage. Situated in the picturesque Blavet valley, this enchanting little cottage is simply and comfortably furnished and well-stocked with kitchen equipment. The owners thoughtfully provided a cot, baby bath and high chair for our toddler.

The surrounding gardens are stunning and provide a perfect setting for dining al fresco. My energetic 2 year old found enough delights to keep him occupied all day. From Quistinic there is easy access to great beaches and historic attractions in the area and we were never at a loss for things to do and see. However, the tranquility and beauty of the cottage and grounds proved very inviting and we spent half our holiday simply exploring the gardens, sun-bathing and reading.

Our hosts were very warm and welcoming, and made our stay very special indeed. They provided tons of information on events and activities in the surrounding towns, places to eat and visit and very helpful guidance on where to shop and what to buy for our lactose-intolerant toddler. Food and supplies were within easy reach with two good supermarkets nearby.

I would unreservedly recommend this property to anyone looking for a calm and restful holiday away from the stresses of noisy modern life. It is a perfect place for children with loads to explore and nice days out. We came back thoroughly refreshed and reinvigorated, and look forward to returning soon.

What a fantastic place, 4 of us stayed in October and we had great weather due to the area having its own micro climate, we even got a tan. The setting for this large cottage is perfect, the gardens were spacious with heated pools. The property was very clean, well maintained and the kitchen was like a home from home it was so well equipped. We took lovely walks around the hamlet and we found so much of interest to see in and around the area, thanks to the help of the owners Sue and Steve. They were so interested in what we liked and their knowledgable of the area ensured we had a great time. We asked for their recommendations for eating out and all of the choices were excellant - great Creperies. We will certainly be returning.

2008 September Wisteria Cottage Review

2008 Lodgers Reading, UK
Review Submitted: January 22, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008
Thank you so much for our wonderful stay at your 'restful rural retreat'. Wisteria Cottage really was a 'home from home' for both families and we couldn't have asked for anything else (very clean, extremely well maintained gardens and acres of lawns with two heated swimming pools and we eat out each night using the BBQ). Your daily suggestions for days out were so incredibly helpful and came up trumps each time - local knowledge made our holiday very easy and carefree. The cottage had all the amenities that any family could wish for dishwasher, showers, washing machines, tumble dryers - superb. We will be coming back to see you soon and have recommended you to other friends and families. Once again, first class, thank you.
