We arrived at the villa after tea time where we found the directions given to us absolutely precise.

Got there and it was just how it was described. The owner had left directions and different places we could visit and they could not be any clearer.

Also the supermarket was about 10 mins drive away and that was very easy to find. At night the weather was very relaxing sitting by the pool.

Fantastic place to stay!

Been to this villa 6 times now and returning in october with our children. The villa is perfect for families. Spending time together in this peaceful location. We spend days chilling out and relaxing by the pool. Albert who maintains the pool to a high standard has been very helpful and frendly. The kids have enjoyed days at aqualand and tivoli world, which are both nearby, although you do need a car to stay here. The supermarket is a short drive away on the main road. We have visited El Tinteros for sunday barbeque lunch. which is typically spanish and is a brilliant experience. El Chorro lakes is very pretty.
The villa itself has always been very clean and well maintained. We have had no problems in finding it.although the road is unadopted. The access is very good. Views from the villa, breathtaking. The owner has provided perfect customer service. She has kept us fully informed and is always easy to contact, should we have a question or query.
I have recomended this villa to friends. They must have enjoyed it as they have now booked for a second time.
Brilliant holidays here. Can't wait till october....

I have had numourous fantastic holidays at this villa with family and friends and will be returning again in a few months. I have always found everything to be of a high standard and have never encountered any problems the villa is fully equipped with all mod cons including washing machine etc. The villa has always been immaculatly clean inside and out. The views are magnificent and it is the perfect place to get away from the stresses of day to day life in total privacy. There are lots of places to visit and the owner has provided a folder in the with lots of places of interest if you are stuck for ideas. The nearest supermarket is about 10 mins drive away and you can stock up on everything you need to see you through your holiday. Personally I am reluctant to leave the villa at all as I am more than happy relaxing by the pool in the beautiful surroundings enjoying barbeques in the evening and enjoying a nice drink or two under the verranda, there is a patio heater for cooler evenings. I must mention how helpful the villa owners were and are they are always willing and available to answer any queries. The wonderful Albert is a lovely character who takes care of the pool regulary during your stay and happy to be of any assistance should you require it! I am very much looking forward to my return visit this year and hope it will be one of many more in the future. Everybody should experience what this wonderful place has to offer!

Villa review

Review Submitted: March 31, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
We arrived on the 28th March 2009 with a young child 6 months old and my review is based on that along with my knowledge of Spanish Villas.

The best I can say it is down at heel and we could not put a young baby on any of the floor coverings. We booked into a hotel and I dont want to be critical merely provide information to any other users.

The view is good but the approach on the track is not good.
Owner's Response: The people arrived early knowing that check in should be 4pm. I never recieved a call other than to ask for where the key was. They had obviously noy read the information sheet i sent.I could of then told the people the villa had not been cleaned as it was only noon. Everyone else has complemented the property as to the cleanliness. Most people have been more than happy as you can see. It upsets me to think these holiday makers could not of called me so i could of told them it was to be cleaned.

My husband and I just returned from a weeks stay...and what a great time we had! We reached the villa without any problems..great directions given by the owner! It was charming, quiet, and well-maintained. We felt right at home. The location was perfect for taking day trips. During our stay, we visited Gibralter, Caves of Nerja, Frigilliani, Peuro Banus, Grenada, Rhonda, The Lakes, El Chorro, and the beautiful little town of Mijas, where you can ride a burro around the village. Most evenings were spent back at the villa...mostly outside under the wonderful covered patio. There is a wonderful heater outside for those chilly evenings, but the perfect place for relaxing with a glass of wine and overlooking the towns with all the lights. The pool was too cold to go for a dip, but was extremely well maintained by Albert, whom we absolutely adored! He was full of wonderful stories and history of the area, and was also able to give us shortcuts for our day trips. There is a nice selection of videos to watch and an assortment of games to play. One eveing was spent watching a movie and playing a great game of Scrabble. This is a wonderful place to stay...the desciptions and photos are accurate (you never know about the web) and I would recommend staying here without a moments hesitation. And, yes, a car is a definite must!!! Thank you, Karen, for a perfect place to lay our heads in a lovely, clean, and friendly country!

Great Holiday

Great well maintained villa, up in the hills above Malaga with a fantastic view of the valley below but not too far from shops but you do need a car to get there.

I went with my wife and our 2 grandsons (8 and 14) and nobody was ever bored. The pool was cold but the youngest still went in and swam about, I think, every day.

Very quiet area well away from the 'rat race'. It was a nice place just to relax and a few feet away was the orchard where we picked fruit, like mandarins, straight from the tree. We all agreed we have never tasted anything like it before!

I would recommend this villa to all my friends and will be going back.

We did do some sightseeing in the area, mostly by going inland and found El Chorro a great place to visit if you like walking. We did go along the coast road and was surprised how close the main resorts along the coast actually were.

There is no connected TV and I thought I would miss it, but didn't. There are plenty of DVD's and videos and we did watch a couple on one chilly evening - but it was February and we couldn't complain about the weather which was much better than the UK.

The owner, Karen. is very helpful and helped provide us with a fantastic holiday. Albert, who helps maintain the villa did visit us, he is English, and knows the area really well and loves to tell you all about the great places to visit.

Thank you for a great holiday...

Perfect relaxing holiday

SezT Swindon, Wiltshire
Review Submitted: January 26, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
I have just returned from a week's winter holiday at this lovely villa - which is accurately described and excellently maintained. It was very clean, comfortable, had absolutely everything we could have wanted/needed - with fabulous views to boot. We visited all the recommended places - including the Lakes, El Chorro, Tintero's restaurant (fab experience!) and all the local towns/villages (loved Mijas village - so different this time of the year!) - all easy to find and get to - and all definitely worth a visit. But if you just wanted to relax by the pool - then this was the perfect private location for that too (it was a bit windy when we were there - so unfortunately we weren't able to do this too much - but that gives us an excuse to return! - which wind or not we would have planned to do in any case - as this is just one of those gems that you would want to return to again and again).

Fantastic villa, with fantastic views and facilities - so easy to get to from the airport. Owner was very helpful and provided some very useful information/recommendations, in advance, for our stay.

Would thoroughly recommend: thank you for a wonderful week!

I have visited this property three times now and the most recent time being June 2008. Each time the accomodation has been kept to a high standard - so often these places can slip over time but not this one! Its very clean and has all the facilities you need. The pool is fantastic with great views and when its too hot a beautiful veranda offers perfect shade. You absolutely do need a car - the supermarket is approx 10min away. If you aren't used to driving on the right hand side of the road this is a great place to start as around the villa the roads are very quiet!! There is great nightlife (if you fill the villa and all get added to the car insurance you can take it in turns to drive in the evenings - thats what we did) and restaurants a drive away or just simply stay in with a bbq and pool party - whether its peace and quiet or nightlife and action you want you wont be dissapointed! I will return!!

We have been in many nice and luxurious places in our holidays but now we found the place where we want to go back many times again. In this wonderful villa we spent our best holiday ever and still after two weeks were really sad to leave it. We found it very easy with the instructions we got from the owner, and when we got there we never wanted to leave. Just relaxing by the pool, and if the sun was too hot then for a while on the patios shade. It's nice to watch the planes coming and going to Malaga's airport, the mountains far away and of course our own banana- and lemontrees in the garden. We made only two daytrips by the car, first to Gibraltar which was very exciting place to see and about 140 km away, second to Marbella. Torremolinos and Benalmadena are only 10 to 15 mins drive away and there we visited a couple times in the mornings when it was a little cooler. Alhaurin de la Torre is a nice little town where we made our daily shoppings and only 5 mins drive. There is almost everything you need, supermarkets, post, pharmacy, hospital, police and restaurants and nice people. But the most friendly gentleman we met there was our poolman Albert who had always something nice to say when he came and he gave us a lot of help and important advices, always ready to help us, wonderful! We must say that if you are looking for a quiet place just to relax, having fun in very private and beautiful villa with amazing views and pleasant pool area for suntaking, romantic nights on the patio looking at the citylights with glas of wine this is the place where you must go, no doubt.
We have just got back to home but already received the next year holiday in the same place almost the same time.
