Sarah, Jeremy and Annabelle's holiday

SLS Berkshire
Review Submitted: March 24, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007
We had an absolutely fabulous holiday, the best we have had as a family. The villa was beautiful, clean, felt safe and the pool cover gave us piece of mind – especially with a very curious toddler running around. The swing and slide was also a great hit as were the toys the owners very kindly left for Annabelle to play with.

The village is a 5 minute walk where there are some restaurants (there's a very good Italian) and we really enjoyed having BBQs at the villa and eating outside where we could enjoy the many different eating areas around the villa with fabulous views.

We will definitely be booking again!!

Peace and Quiet

A Spacious and very peacful villa excellently maintained and 5 minutes walk from the small town which has some good pubs and restaurants.
The owners meet you at the airport which is nice, but I would say not really essential. The villa is about 15 mins from Faro and is easy to navigate to.
The property is set on a large plot and is not overlooked by other properties, it's very quiet and there is lots of outside space which has a variety of fruit and olive trees as well as plenty of herbs.
Although we dont have any, the villa is well equipped to cater for Children and families and is the best equipped villa in all other areas that we have stayed in - the welcome pack is also the best we have seen.
Would reccomend to all, other than groups of teenagers as I think the town maybe a little quiet for them, which in our opinion is a good thing!

Family stay in July 2009

The villa was every bit as lovely as it looks in the pictures and is excellent for families. There were 4 adults and we had a little girl who loved all the toys provided and the trampoline and boules went down a treat. There was also a shed full of pool/beach toys. The fact that towels and beach towels were provided was great. We did not go into the villiage much (no need - by the pool all day) but when we did the bakers and supermarket were excellent.

It was a home from home.

A lovely villa

Review Submitted: July 16, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
A splendid villa in a very convenient, quiet location, just a few minutes walk from the village of Sta Bárbara de Nexe. Excellent restaurants in the village and neighbouring areas and a good supermarket. The owners think of everything in terms of facilities and provisions - hairdryer, bathrobe and even a little packet of paper tissues by the bed. Interesting sights a short distance away - the Roman ruins at Milreu, the palace at Estoi (now a hotel) and the church of São Lourenço at Almancil. Enjoy!

Monte Perry Villa

Review Submitted: June 13, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This was our first every stay in a Villa and I have got to say it has been our best accomodation stay ever. The owners of the villa were lovely, helpful people who gave the personal touch without being over fussy. They met us at the airport and kindly loaned us a car seat for our 2 year old grandson, they took us upto the villa shown us around everywhere. They had done some shopping for us as there are no shops open on Sunday in Portugal, and had booked us into a really lovely restaurant that evening. We had hired a car and went out some of the days we were there but to be honest we could have stopped around the villa, our grandson was occupied all the time with lots of toys, and toys for the pool which we had heated. Everything was very well maintained, spacious and clean and it felt like home from home only much nicer, that none of us wanted to leave. There are 3 different places outside the villa to eat which we took advantage of daily. We would recomend this villa to anybody especially families with any age group of children! Monte Perry is beautiful place to stay in with lovely well maintained gardens. Something we felt with having a 2 year old was how safe it was in it's own grounds with remote control gates to access it. We are really glad we chose Monte Perry it is a gem of a villa!

Monte Perry is a fantastic villa with superb views from the large private gardens. As a party of 5 adults with a 4 year old we had lots of space to relax. The terraces and pool area are second to none. Our grandson was made very welcome and loved the play area and toys (including lots for the pool) which were left for him.

It's an easy walk into the lovely traditional village with small supermarket and excellent bakery. The Italian restaurant is worth a visit though booking is recommended to get a good table.

The villa is perfectly placed surrounded by beautiful countryside with Faro, Loule and Almancil a short drive away. The coastal towns east of Faro are well worth a visit as is Faro itself. There are several large supermarkets nearby (by car), try Apolonia in Almancil for special treats. The villa is superbly equipped, including the kitchen for those who like to eat in.

The owners provide an excellent service and the accommodation is maintained to an extremely high standard. They certainly make sure you have everything you need for a great stay.

We are returning for our second visit soon!!

Fabulous Villa !!

The girls said "What a lovely villa. Thank you for providing such a lovely villa for us with so much comfort, and giving us advice re restaurants etc.,

We loved the trampoline, swings, slide and especially the pool, they were great fun".

The adults said - What a lovely villa! The very best we have found over the years. We were most impressed with the thought that had gone into the 'little things' that made our holiday even better. Very clean, cool and spacious, the electric pool cover was an absolute boon, as were the electric awnings.

The quaint village is just a short walk away and we were lucky enough to experience a traditional Fiesta during our stay.

We liked it so much we've booked again!

The outside shower didn't seem to be really 'cold' at any point, though we found the outside breakfast area too hot - this will be better when the vine spreads out. Loved having the herbs growing, your rosemary hedge was delightful.

Having the internet access made such a difference to our stay. I do a lot of communication on there but it was also especially useful for one of our girls to send daily messages to her Mum back home.

It was all so perfect that we were sad we hadn't been able to stay the full two weeks.

Thank you for providing us with such a relaxing facility.

Owner's Response: We have since fitted a new awning over the breakfast area to supplement the shading while the vines are growing.

An excellent modern well maintained villa with all the facilities one could require whatever the weather including Air Conditioning in the main rooms and awnings over the teraces set in a nice secluded quiet garden with good views from its elevated position and yet only a few minutes walk into the village with a quite well stocked supermarket.
The heated swimming pool is superb and the electrically operated cover is a good safety feature.
The Italian restaurant in the village is good but having a car s an advantage and enables visits to the many good restaurants, sports, beaches and other facilities.
We look forward to future visits.

'We knew the area and the closeness to the village attracted us. We were delighted that the closeness did not prevent privacy. Excellent location. Your guest annexe has been ideal, with access to the many seating areas - a great plus. Having air con is a must and proves most successful as did the awnings, so glad there was Sky TV! (15-29/07/06).We thought the villa was fantastic, beautiful surroundings and very pleasant to stay in. Had a great holiday and would come again.' (29/7-5/8/06). Lovely villa and pool, very peaceful and relaxing.(8-16/08/06).Beautiful villa and location - nice to be near the village and able to walk to local restaurants etc. This is by far the nicest and best equipped villa we have stayed in. (17-25/9/06).Having been on villa holidays before, this villa is far superior not lacking any facilities' (19/5-2/6/07)Villa wonderful;definitely the best we've stayed in, so peaceful (23/6-7/07/07). Couldn't fault the villa, the best we've ever stayed in.(19/7-2/8/07)
