I received this text from one family

'Andrew Gite exceeds expectation, children love pool, Wii, trampoline swings and Yes we have only been here 2 hours'

Email's and notes from other families.

' This was the best holiday yet'! young lady (13) and her brother aged 9'

‘Andrew, thanks for making this a holiday to remember. We have never been to a more relaxing spot, little extras you offer like having all of the essentials already there, coffee tea milk wine bread (even ice creams for the children) all included ... it was so much more relaxing for 'Mum'. Thanks for your advice on places to see and visit, the markets are great and the Segian Park was the highlight for the children.

'Andrew thanks for your hospitality, the lunch when we arrived was special, the heated pool, trampoline, swings and canal side spots to relax were great and the children loved them all. Can we book for the same time next year?' Butler family

October in France

Family and I had a great time in Tango. I have never come across a host who was so helpfull, accomodating and generous as Andrew and the facilities at the villa were incredible, particularly if you have kids (ours are aged 6 and 9). The pool was great and being heated was great, especially in October. We hired Andrews car too which again was really helpfull for us, and that sat-nav got us out of a few scrapes! I would say that Marseilleitte was past its best (might have been off season) but there is plenty to do close by.

great accommodation, the grounds and trampoline, pool and swings made for a wonderful stay. the nearby bigger towns are gorgeous and it's easy to get to from the airport. the owner provided excellent customer service. the only thing that detracted from it was that there wasnt much going on in the local village - but that could be because we werent there peak season. overall, really lovely.

Fab Time!

Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We have just returned from our first French holiday and we are so pleased that we chose "Tango".

The location was lovely (La Cite at Carcassonne enticed us to the area in the first place and surpassed our expectations), the accommodation provided everything we could possibly have needed and, I might add, was in excellent condition and the Swimming Pool, well it speaks for itself (it made the holiday for us and our young son).

We would most definitely recommend this property to other families as it is entirely private and, therefore, safe. The Villa itself is "set back" and therefore feels incredibly peaceful and relaxing, however, it is in actual fact situated very much in the village and only steps away from the Canal du Midi. Walks along the Canal are lovely and the novelty of a working Lock is fantastic entertainment for all, especially for a 5 year old boy who was keen to help!!

We cannot praise the facilities we have enjoyed highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would return without hesitation. The Owners, Andrew and Carol, were lovely people to deal with and made us feel incredibly welcome even before we even reached "Tango".

It was a long drive to the Languedoc-Rousillon region, however, trust us when we say that driving up to a gorgeous swimming pool, glinting beneath a French Summer sun is a sight to behold! The lunch that awaited us was most welcome and we can thoroughly recommend the Wine that was kindly provided (the "Vineyard" is only a short drive away - we made a point of finding it!).

Enjoy!

Holiday Heaven!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday. This holiday property is excellent and fulfills all that the information promises. Nothing is left to chance and every need catered for. Andrew said that he wanted to make our holiday as stress free as possible and he achieved this completely. We arrived to find a delicious lunch laid out for us which we greatly appreciated. The house is in a most tranquil setting and whilst there was only two of us (over 50's!)using the accommodation we can quite see how good this would be for families too. We were eating strawberries picked from the garden for breakfast - what a treat! Evidence of plenty of other vegetables growing ready to pick soon too.
The pool was BLISS when we returned after sight seeing in the mornings. Le Cite in Carcassonne was fantastic and should not be missed, only a 10 minute drive away - we went 4 times! Trebes is a lovely place to sit and have a coffee or glass of wine and watch the world go by on the Canal Du Midi. We discovered a lovely restaurant called Moulin right beside the triple lock. Excellent food and very friendly service. We cannot recommend this holiday home highly enough and would definately consider another holiday there in the future. Thank you for everything Andrew.

Nice place but several problems

We stayed at the Gite in October 2007. Building site on entrance as owner is converting property in the same garden but we didn't mind that.Good except for let down with pool which definetly wasn't 28 deg C. Pool enginner was called but told impossible to get the pool up to that temp only manage 21 deg C which is quite different and cold in October all due to too small water heater.Sat TV didn't work properly either.Owner didn't really seem to care. Saw him on holiday he was a nice helpful guy until things went wrong. Told him of problems while we were there and sent him email after holiday to tell him concerns but never bothered to respond. Customer service 1 - POOR. Shame because we would have considered going back to the property next door.
If you don't mind a cold pool (except summer),building works, no customer service(only if there are problem) then this is for you. On a plus side kids loved it.
Owner's Response: Sadly these lovely people had bad whether, sadly something that I cannot influence.
The property entrance is shared with a vacant barn which is partly restored. 2008 there is a block wall and gates that separate the barn from Tango.
It is important to ensure that the pool is covered when you are not using it so that all heat generated by the heater is retained in the pool. The people before this family didn’t cover the pool, and neither did this family so the pool temp feel. The heater unit is large enough, the service engineer and the installing company are the same one, what’s more the pool has been 24degrees from the 1st of March 2008 when the outside temp was 11.5.
The sky box had an intermittent problem which was not easy to replicate, and was replaced the following week with a new one.
I am sure that all those people that have rented Tango previously will no doubt be completely surprised at the last comment that I didn’t really seem to care, as they know that I care very much indeed, after all I replaced the Sky box, called an engineer the moment I was informed of the cool pool, and the whether well I prayed for better whether. Seriously, I do care but sometimes its seems that all the seasons problems happen to the same family, Sorry!!

Tango near Carcassonne

Review Submitted: February 26, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007
The description was absolutely accurate in all respects, propert was very well maintained the owner went out of his way to ensure that we had everything required. Not easy for 2 over sixties with a 17 year old grand daughter. Ideally located to explore Carcassonne which was one of our main reasons fro choosing this location for our holiday, however we will return again because we enjoyed our stay at the villa with the canan at the bottom of the garden so much. It is a bit limited for restaurants nearby but the chambre d'hote about 300 yards away provides a good menu provided by the Swiss owners, otherwise you need a car to travel to restaurants in the nearby towns. Overall we were more than satisfied with our choice of Tango for our holiday.

Unbeatable accomodation for a family

I stayed at Tango last Summer and to sum up my complaints about the holiday, "the weather was a bit cloudy".
Seriously, the gite had everything you could need for two adults and a 9 year old and 5 year old. Bikes, the pool, a games console, trampoline,a large garden. And the kids did too. There was a buffet waiting for us on arrival including produce grown on site and a couple of bottles of "grape juice" which was very welcome having driven the length of France and the kids even had a welcome pack too, of sweets.
All this allowed us to relax and enjoy the surrounding area, which the host even gave us tips on before we travelled.
Needless to say the first thing we did when we got home was to start saving for 2008's holiday whcih we have now booked.
I cannot think of how this or any gite could be beaten!

We visited Tango last year for the first time and within hours of arriving knew we would be returning. The villa is well equipped and comfortable, spotlessly clean and well maintained. We have 2 chidren age 11 and 9 and we have never stayed in a villa where the owner provides so much specifically for their entertainment. As parents we had plenty of time to relax (with the bottles of excellent local wine thoughtfully left for us by the owner!) as the children had so much to do. When they got tired of the pool, the trampoline, table tennis table and swing, there was a huge garden to let off steam in. Bikes were provided for us all and there is access to the canal path from the grounds. The local village has a couple of shops and a restaurant within walking distance and is ideally located for exploring the region. We can't wait to go back again in August!
