Great Home in a Great Location for a Great Price

What's Cool in Alaska Eagle River, Alaska, USA
Review Submitted: October 12, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
I stayed here for a week last summer with my husband and daughter. We were pleased with the holiday home's size and amenities. Everything was somewhat new and in good working order and we had more space than we needed for a family of three.
We especially like the home's location. We were in short driving distance to lots of local attractions like Muckross House, Ross Castle, and the Ring of Kerry. We could also easily walk to the heart of downtown Killarney.
The neighborhood was lovely and peaceful, too. If we're ever back in Killarney, we'll definitely stay again.
Owner's Response: Thank you Natalie for your kind comments on our property, and I am delighted that you and your family enjoyed your stay in the newly refurbished house and that you found its location convient to town centre and the neighburrhood was quite and peacefull. Also its location was a short drive to local attractions ie. National Park,Muckross House, Muckross Abbey,Ross Castle, and also for day trips to the Ring of Kerry, Dingle,Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher etc.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Killarney in the future.
Regards
John.

Simply the Best!

We have just returned home from a wonderful holiday in Killarney. We have stayed at B&B's in the past but decided to rent a holiday home this time around. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice. This is a lovely home in a great location. It is located in a quiet residential area and just a short walk from the town center or from Killarney National Park. The house is a semi-detached or what we would call a duplex. Both units have just undergone a major renovation and are very well appointed. Our unit had a modern and fully equipped kitchen with an adjoining dining area. There are three bedrooms, two full baths and a nice living room. The back yard is very large and fully fenced. There is a nice deck off the dining room for relaxing or eating outdoors. Killarney makes a great home base for exploring the SW of Ireland. There are many great day trips you can enjoy and don't forget the beach if the weather is nice. John is a great host and will be more than happy to give you tips on what to see and do. This home is a great choice for families with children or 2-3 couples traveling together. It was nice to have a place to come home to in the evenings and relax. It is also very economical since you can prepare meals if you wish and do your own laundry. I would highly recomend this home to anyone planning a visit to Killarney.

Perfect Holiday - again

Gaby0212 Ludwigshafen, Germany
Review Submitted: May 11, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Our Holiday was a perfect one - again. Especially because the house has got a new look. New furniture in the living-room, bedroom and Kitchen. New Tiles in the Kitchen and on the floor and new bathrooms. The new shower is absolutly fantastic. Without the beautiful house we hadn't this perfect holiday! We felt us at home. It doesnt matter if it is raining because you can relax in the comfortably living room.
The house is clean, well-maintained and we have no reason to criticize anything.
The Owner is an absolutly friendly man. We really like him.
We can recommend this property to everyone who want to stay in a comfortably, calm place.
Thanks again for the perfect holiday!

Great Place to Explore SW Ireland From

GA Golfer Marietta, GA, USA
Review Submitted: December 13, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
We stayed here in June '08 and used it as a "home" while we explored SW Ireland. We had 5 adults (2 couples) with 3 golfers and 2 sightseers. It was a great place to travel from. The golfers went to Waterville, Dooks, Trallee, Old Head, Ballybunion and Dingle. All except Old Head were easily accessible for early tee times. Old Head a little further, but still a day trip. The sightseers went all over SW Ireland from Trallee to Cork and Ring of Kerry.

The good:
--Great location.
--Comfortable home and great place to re-gather at night.
--Close to Downtown Killarney, but kind of a far walk--car is best.
--Quiet neighborhood.
--Clean and well maintained, with beautiful setting and back yard.
--Great facilities for cooking if you want that. We did our own breakfasts.

The bad (well maybe not bad, just different for us selfish Americans):

--Small beds.
--Small bathrooms with showers best for short people.
--Don't try to use the washer/dryer (it is a single machine that does both--unless you have a few hours per load).
--The heating system takes a little time to figure out, but once we did, it worked ok.

The owner and his rep were extremely friendly and helpful. They met us at a convenient location and took us to the home. They checked in on us several times during the week and took care of any issues we had. They also gave us tips on where to go, what to avoid, etc.

Don't let the photo fool you, this is a duplex and you are only getting half. That said, it is three bedroom/two full bath plus a nice living room, dining room and kitchen. Plenty adequate for the 5 of us.

We would go back in a heartbeat and stay here. Later in the trip we stayed in a B&B in Dublin and everyone in our group preferred this experience to the B&B.

Perfect Holiday

Review Submitted: December 9, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Our holidays in Killarney are everytime fantastic. We love it to stay in these Holiday Homes, because it is quiet, clean, affectionately furnished and you have everything you need. Whether a washing machine, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, you have everything in the beautiful spacious kitchen available. The dinnerplace ist very comfortable.
You have a Terasse and a garden. The living room is very comfortable, so that you can enjoy the time in the house on rainy days so much. The bedrooms are likewise very affectionately furnished.
It is only a few minutes to walk into the town center and also to the objects of interest is is not far. In the town there are beautiful pubs and Restaurantes. Also in Killarney it makes alot of fun to go shopping. The landlord is expressed friendly and very much forestalling. I can only recommend it to everyone to make your Holiday there. You will return again and again. We do this for years and also the coming years we will come back again. Enjoy your Holiday there.

Killareny Rest

The Clan! Scotland
Review Submitted: December 8, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This property is comfortable and ideally located within a 15 minute walk of the town centre and a 5 minute walk of the National Park. It is in a quiet location, with all basic facilities. The owner is friendly, attentive and sorts any difficulties quickly. My family has stayed here for several years, sometimes twice in a year! Killarney is a fabulous area for a holiday no matter your age. Would reccomend the White Gates Hotel on the main Muckross Road leaving town for superb pub grub. The town is lively and has entertainment for all ages. Best beaches are Rossbeigh (45 min drive) and Inch (1 hour drive). Must hire bikes even if only to ride in park and take a walk up the Gap of Dunloe.
Owner's Response: Thank you Tommy & Patricia & The Clan for your review and look forward to welcoming you back in 2010 as we have for the last number of years
