I stayed at this apartment in Nerja with 3 girlfreinds inMay 2008We were delighted with the sizeBedroomsare private with 2bedrooms to one bath.#1 feature is the rooftop terrace facing the sea.Apt is withinwalking distance to the beautiful Burrianna Beach where once you travel downthe huge hill you can stay and enjoy all day long. There are clean,supervised beachchair areas,showerspublic washrooms and plenty fo eat and drink.Try the Paella at orange restaurant at far end of beach The only negative is this is definitelynot aplace to stay if you are physically handicapped .Lots of stairsCanadian ladiesx4

The apartment was just like the owner had promised. An amazing ocean view, just a few steps to the beach and the city of Nerja was reachable within a little walk. The weather was perfect and everyday an unbelievable sunrise. We had a wonderful time in Nerja enjoying especially the evenings at the roof. The rooms are furnished tasteful and we didn't missed anything. We had a very kindly email contact with the owners and they prepaired us perfectly. Thank you again for that.

5 star penthouse in 5 star location

This place is just perfect for lots of reasons! Here are a few....We stayed in this spacious split level penthouse for 10 nights end of Sept 09 beginning of Oct. Our group of 7 included grandparents and a toddler and it was perfect for all of us. While our toddler had his afternoon nap we could still relax in the sun on the very private roof terrace. We managed the walk up to the 3rd flr apartment, and after a few days got used to it. We left our kids buggy on the ground floor for our stay which worked out just fine.
There were loads of toys and books to occupy our little fella. There is also a great library of English books and magazines, so don't bother to pack any! The bedrooms are all located away from the living areas, they stay nice and cool during hot days, and also we never found there was any noise from the street.
The communal pool is very chilled out, lots of loungers to choose from, there was only ever a handful of us there. There are lots of trees too which was great to get some shade in the hotter days.
The gardens and communal areas are maintained really well, the caretaker is always around, and although doesn't speak English he is really helpful. The caretakers of the apartment are also really helpful, with out-of office hours numbers, they speak good English are couldn't have been more helpful to us, we also used them to transfer to and from Malaga airport, they charged us 100euro each way for a minibus.
if you don't know Nerja, you won't know how perfectly situated this apartment is. You stroll through the old part of the town passing a few good bars and restaurants, looking out at the sea, to get to the Balcon area (main sq). From here you can wander along the winding pretty streets with lots of open air eating available. There are lots of good places to eat, with very reasonable prices. People seem to eat ice cream day and night in Nerja and you'll find you are never too far from ice cream kiosk :)
Tim Tory, the owner, was extremely helpful right throughout our booking, he promptly replied to our many queries.
The apartment was very clean. Although the decor is lovely, its unfussy, and very comfortable, its also easy to keep clean.Things
Don't hesitate to book this penthouse if you need space, want to be close to the action, and don't want a hike home from the beach. We felt it was really good value for money, you definitely get more than you pay for. We will be coming back!! (hopefully soon!)

Gorgeous apartment in perfect location

I stayed with my husband and two teenage sons in February 08. The apartment is very nicely done, and spacious with stunning sea views. Very close to the Balcon and shopping area as well as being only about 100 yards ( or metres!) to the beach. The apartment building is nice and quiet and other residents seem to respect that too. There is plenty to do in Nerja and the surrounding area at any time of year. We love it.

Just back from this stunning apartment, we had a fantastic holiday. The view were one of the best we have seen. The location was superb! Tim and Nora arranged our transfers from the airport which was great. Also there were a few items in the fridge to get us started which was also great. The town of Nerja is probably one of the nicest areas we have visited in Spain, hadn't heard of it before but it was beautiful. We will definately be back without a doubt! We had a 1 year old with us who had lots of things to play with in the apartment which kept him amused for the week which was a blessing. The weather was hot hot hot so the pool came in very handy it was fab, it was slightly heated so you didnt get a shock when you got in and it was perfect for the wee one as he could saty in and play without getting cold. The garden area was as great and very well kept and all the residents were lovely, not a problem getting a sun lounger either. All in all I would recommend this apartment to aynone, we had a 1 year old to a 78 yrear old with us and it suited everyone, the apartment is huge so not tripping over one another, location was amazing the town fantastic not much more I can say except "we will be back" and Thankyou for letting us use your home.

The apartement is just perfect. It has a wonderful ocean view, which is just amazing. The interior design is very nice. The owner helped us with everything and all worked very well.
Nerja ia a wonderful town. The location of the apartement is also just perfect, close to the old town of Nerja and close to the beach. We will come back for sure.

What a fantastic holiday! We've just returned from a week in this fabulous penthouse apartment and can honestly say that it exceeded our expectations! There were four generations of our family staying and while our grandaughter played with the great selection of toys/books etc. that are provided my elderly parents soaked up the breathtaking views from both balconies/terraces and living rooms.Everthing about this holiday was perfect from our first contact with the owners Tim & Nora and the tranfers which they arranged to the spotlessly clean exceptionally well equipped accommodation! The location could'nt be better with everything within easy reach from local shops and restaurant to beaches and of course the beautiful Balcon de Europe! I would not hesitate to highly recommend this apartment to any of our family or friends and we will definitely return.

My family (3 generations) had a fantastic 2-week stay at this penthouse. The facilities in the apartment were great and the location was excellent.
We didn't have a car and didn't miss one at all. Both the town and the beach were in easy walking distance and we had a wonderful time.
There are some really good restaurants in Nerja and we ate out quite a lot and also had lots of fun cooking on the bbq on the very large roof terrace overlooking the sea.
We would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.
The owner was most helpful and supplied us with all the information we needed and he arranged transfers to and from the airport, which went like clockwork.
We didn't have a car and didn't miss one at all. Both the town and the beach were in easy walking distance and we had a wonderful time.

Our family rented this wonderful apartment for a week. There were three generations of us staying at the apartment, ranging from our one year old grandchild to our four kids and us. Without exception, we loved the apartment, the town and everything about our experience at Tuhillo and Nerja.
The apartment is exceptional in every way. It's truly special. The most important things for us in picking a seaside vacation apartment are view and location. This apartment has two separate living rooms, each with unimpeded 180 degree views of the spectacular Nerja coastline. The apartment is frontline, so the only thing between the balcony and the beach is the Tuhillo pool. When we were not in town or on the beach, we were able to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine, soak up the sun and watch our kids at the pool. The apartment has a traditional Spanish spiral staircase leading to a rooftop terrace with 360 view, with the town and hills behind you, and the coast in front of you. Lots of space for the entire family to enjoy the sun and relax.
The apartment is well maintained and furnished in a clean, modern style, with white stone floors. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the large fully equipped kitchen after shopping at the nearby grocery store. The laundry alcove off the kitchen is very convenient. In true Spanish style, we even hung our clothes to dry on the rooftop terrace clothesline! The bathrooms are large and even with our big group there were no hot water problems for morning showers. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space.
The location of the apartment was perfect for our needs. In town, but at the quiet eastern end, away from the hustle and bustle of the Balcon area. You literally can walk from the apartment to any place in town in a matter of a few minutes. Access to the beach is right outside the apartment’s front gate. Nerja has good restaurants of all variety and price points. Again, all within an easy walk. Our children, ages 17 to 23, went out every night and always had a great time. While they stayed out very late on occasion, we felt they were safe and there were never any security issues.
The owners are very welcoming and responsive to questions about the apartment as well as the area. It was wonderful to deal with them directly and not through an agency.
In conclusion, we can’t imagine that there is a better place to stay on the Costa del Sol. We recommend it without reservation.
