Well cared for.

We had a wonderful time at La Ramade. The house is well cared for and everything worked! The pool was spotless and in the sun all day. Just a short walk across the footbridge in to Daglan - with everything you need.

Would recommend to anyone.

Have had a super relaxing time, spent a lot of time by the pool chilling out and drinking lots of the local vin! Canoeing was great fun, visited the Lot Valley for a change of pace. Restaurant on the bridge @ Castelnaud well worth a visit. Excellent place to stay and do not want to go home!

La Ramade

Ramade was a perfect place for our family in the Dordogne. We explored, we played, we lazed in the sun. We even swam in the pool in October and made silly movies. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

an excellent property everything if not more was as described by the owners. super walks with our 2 jack russells along the river banks, with masses of wild life. many services in the nearby village were closed however the upside of this was that most of the chateaux were uncrowded. Super food a great time was enjoyed by all

Relaxing Break

Mattybiddy Crystal Palace, UK
Review Submitted: August 20, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We had a very relaxing break away from the stresses of London. The house was very well presented, exceptionally clean and spacious. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the sun loungers. The location is excellent - with places to see and things to do right on the door step. We found the facilities in the village provided for all our needs and bought fresh bread, croissants and cakes every day. We definitely needed the walks to burn off the calories! The local people are very friendly too.

The scenery in this part of the Dordogne is spectacular and we wished we had longer to explore the region. In fact we have already booked another break at the end of September/October. One of our favourite parts of the holiday was sitting on the covered terrace, enjoying a glass of wine and drinking in the surrounding scenery.

The owners have provided a comfortable and welcome home and nothing was too much trouble - and returned our bond promptly. Thanks too to Heather and Mike in the village who care for the house - they leave welcoming flowers and sponge cake when you arrive!

Counting down the days to our autumn break.

Nicky's Hen Week

We stayed here for my suprise hen week, it was the most amazing week!!! We had such a fun time and the house was perfect for the 8 of us. Plenty of space, lovely rooms, fab pool and gorgeous grounds. We were able to do everything on our own schedule. We hired cars and visited the surrounding towns and villages. We sampled the local restaurants, canoeing, shops, markets and wine. All were fantastic! Mother of the Bride and Groom came too and had a brilliant time. The best week was had by all and we look forward to returning.

Our families; 5 adults and 2 infants had a fabulous relaxing week at La Ramade. The house is in excellent order, exceptionally well equipped and located next to the village of Daglan, a charming French village in the heart of the region. Just a relaxing 1 hour journey from Bergerac Airport, you can chose to relax in the beautiful house and grounds or go for activities such as canoing on the Dordoigne, bike riding or even balloon flights.

We hope to return next year

La Ramade in Daglan

We had an incredibly relaxing week at La Ramade, bags of space, great garden and being able to walk to Daglan with its restaurants, bars and shops was perfect.
Daglan is just far enough away from the Dordogne to escape the high summer hordes and near enough to the Lot to see something less geared to tourists.
