Lovely apartment. Views are fantastic. Apartment well looked after and lots of nice touches making it feel very homely. Great customer service organising taxi transfers.

Apartment in good position within Puerto Rico - very quiet but only 20 minutes walk away from main Shopping Centre. Ideal for a relaxing week away. Nice pool - very clean and well looked after.

We have just returned from the apartment last week and I can recommend it 100%.
I stayed there with my wife and son and there was ample space for all of us, believe me it is not too small to accomodate four adults. When we arrived the apartment was cleaned to a high standard. My wife owns a cleaning company and is critical about the standard of cleanliness and it didn't disappoint. The lady who looks after the apartment (Barbara) does a fantastic job and is a credit to have.
Having flown in from Tenerife the week before where we ate out every night we stayed in and cooked ourselves all week with no problems. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and cook a variety of meals.
We used the table top washing machine with no problems, everything dried nicely on the line on the balcony.
It was nice to come back to the apartment in the afternoon and not get melted by constant sun. The balcony is a great place to chill out in the afternoon as the sun has passed over.
Talking of the balcony, the views over the beach and harbour are 5 stars. We sat most evenings just looking around, it is that good !!!
The booking was straightforward and was problem free. We were slightly differerent in our request for eight nights but this was accomodated, a credit to Andrew and Julia.
The bathroom is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities you need and there are no problems.
We used the pool daily, this was again kept immaculate. We had it to ourselves most of the time.
Now, would I book this apartment again ? Definately !!!!

Excellent relaxing holiday!

We recently spent a week at this apartment and had a truely lovely holiday. Transfers to and from the airport, which were arranged for us by the owners, were on time and very helpful. The apartment itself was clean and well maintained by the owners and I was very pleased with all the little extra touches, such as a CD player and microwave.
When on holiday I love to sit and relax on the balcony during the afternoon and the view from this apartment certainly didn't disappoint, absolutely beautiful.
There were plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment. The town pool and the beach are only a short walk also although we did tend to stay at the apartments pool, which is really nice, quiet and relaxing. The coastal walk to Amodores beach shouldn't be missed, it took us about 20 minutes and really is breathtaking.
Overall we had a great time, I felt the apartment and location were perfect for our holiday. I have already recommended this property to my friends and family and would definitely go back again.

Fantastic Sea Views, Highly Recommended

We stayed at this apartment in June 09. Weather was great temperatue approx 25-28 degrees.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning, everyting was ready for us and it made us already at home.

The apartment was spacious, well equipped, very clean and well looked after.

The view from the Balcony and bedroom 1 was very breathtaking.

There has been large amount of renovation done to this apartment with excellent results i.e. Very large pool, new shower room, toilet and gardens.

There is about a 15 minute walk to the Beach, Shops and very good Restaurants - but our favourite Restaurant was 'La Taberna' just over the road from the apartment.

Good advice and communication with he owners was excellent and questions promptly answered.

We have already booked for 2010.

I would recommend this apartment.

Fantastic Holiday!

From initial enquiry to booking and acually reaching our destination we found our whole holiday a great experience. Any questions we had, were answered concisely and punctually by the owners and every effort was made to make our holiday as easy as possible.
The apartment itself was clean, well maintained and had everything you need. Local shops supplied the basics for breakfasts and lunches in the apartment when needed, with excellent restaurants nearby - we particularly liked La Taberna, just a stones throw from the apartment - food and drink was great at a good price and the service impeccable - and very child friendly - we have two young children who were both made very welcome!
The resort itself has everything you need - beaches are great, town pool fantastic, good restaurants although I have to say the tranquility and beautifully finished pool area at the apartment takes some beating.
The location of the apartment allows easy exploration of the island, with a quick and very reasonably priced ferry ride into Puerto Mogan a must - a multitude of great restaurants, lovely town square with jazz band playing live every evening and gorgeous harbour - well worth the relaxing 45 minute ferry ride, even complete with a glass bottom to keep the kids occupied!
One thing I have to mention is the view from the balcony - the images on the site really don't do it justice.... truly beautiful.
Overall, a great holiday, relaxing, fantastic accomodation, we've already booked for next year!! Many thanks to the owners for all their help in the booking process - a great experience from start to finish!

Great Holiday, Apartment OK but could be better

Overall we had a good holiday in this apartment. The weather was absolutely fantastic for January with temperatures during the day of 22 – 24 degrees.

With the fall of the pound against the euro during 2008 – 2009, food was expensive. Local supermarkets were expensive as were the restaurants. For example three apples at the local supermarket (200 yards from the apartment) were 2.75 Euros. Main courses eating out ranged from 15 - 30 Euros.

The apartment is located overlooking the beach and the views are excellent. If you walk into town then the walk down is fine but it is quite steep coming back. The balcony gets sun from daybreak until about 3pm. But if you love the evening sun then you will need to get an apartment on the other side of Porto Rico.

The apartment block has had some renovation at the back but the front of the property facing the beach has seen better days and is in need of some tidying up and repainting. The windows from the bedroom facing the beach are Perspex or have an anti-shatter coating, unfortunately it is badly scratched and it is hard to see through the window.

The apartment itself is small but OK if you are a party of two, although there are two double bedrooms we would have found it cosy with four adults. It is reasonably well equipped, although it lacks a plumbed in washing machine the portable washing machine worked well.

We were though a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. Many of the surfaces were very dusty, there were fluff/hairballs on the floor and hair and fluff under the legs of the chair. It may be that the owners employ the cleaners and didn’t know how standards had slipped.

Communication with the owners was excellent. The keys arrived on time, the damage deposit was refunded without question and good advice was offered by e-mail. All communication was politely and promptly answered.

Would I recommend staying here? The resort yes without doubt, the apartment yes if the owners provide it with some TLC, ensure that cleanliness improves and spend some money on it.
Owner's Response: We make no secret of the fact that our apartment is approached by hill. We actually state that our residence is not suitable for those who have trouble with walking or who are infirm and most enquirers make their mind up about that. But consider, without the incline, there is no panoramic view and that besides the quiet, is what most of our guests come back for time and time again.

Renovation is now complete. The pool area has been completely renovated and the sun can be enjoyed all day. The gardens surrounding the pool and communal areas are very well stocked and attended and a water feature has been erected. A pool toilet/shower room is also complete. The communal areas and stairways have been retiled and new lighting installed which automatically come on if you enter the apartment in the evening. The perimeter is very security focused and the apartments are approached via a locked gate.
Both the front and back of the apartment block has now been completely re-painted this includes all hand railing Rewiring has also been addressed,

The apartment accommodates 4 guests easily, we would not advertise for 4 if it was only comfortable for 2. Indeed, most parties occupying have included 4 guests. The overall area is 50 sq metres and is ample. We have taken 75 bookings in the last 2 and half years, some for a month's duration and no one has every complained about lack of space.

A considerable amount of money has been spent. In the last 3 years, a new bathroom,kitchen, boiler, floor, all equipment including beds, wardrobes, cabinets, towels, linen and kitchen utensils have been purchased. The only items left by the previous owner is the 3 and 2 seater settees. Both of which are in good condition.

There is not a suitable area for a washing machine so one is not advertised. But some guests do like to wash through a small amount of clothing. We have tried to make life easy by supplying a portable washer. Most guests find this very useful.

As regards cleaning, it was explained that for this particular week, temporary staff were employed, our usual lady was away, they will not be used again. Our manager will make sure of this. This is the only complaint we have received regarding cleanliness and our guest at the time accepted this explanation.

The fall in the £ affects everyone, we have no control over this and the local traders all suffer.

All properties have their drawbacks whether situated on the East or West Hill.
