Beautiful apartment complex in residential area

Review Submitted: November 1, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We just returned from a delightful week at Alba Blanca. We are in full agreement with the other reviews, From the very start Serena was extremely helpful and courteous. The apartment is in a lovely 'older' villa area. No huge blocks here, or building projects, Alba Blanca is well established, and surrounded by beautifully well maintained gardens.Apartment inside was spacious, clean and comfortable, with absolutely everything you needed. My sons were pleased with the TV and endless channels, plus internet connection. We live in Norway, and dont hear much noise, so our only little negative comment is, traffic noise. 1st few nights we had to sleep with bedroom window closed, but then we got used to the traffic and left window open. Also beds were a little hard for us, but guess thats personal taste. All in all, the apartment was just lovely, really homely, and we would absolutely recommend anyone thinking to book, to go ahead.
I havent been to Costa Del Sol in over 20 years, so naturally there has been much mass building - shame, but still there are many places to explore and find some old Spain, Ronda, being 1.
Back to Nueva Andalucia, great restaurants all within walking distance. The Thai restaurant Serna mentions was so good, we went back twice. Regina's was so so, bit of a wannabe's place, the Italian across the road from Reginas was much better and more authentic. Food generally was super everywhere, great choice and super service.
We would without doubt return for another off-season break. The apartment is excellent value for money!
1 last comment, the apartment is best for couples, families with older children. There are many steps over the whole complex, and would be a nightmare for toddlers and people with walking disabilities.
Owner's Response: I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay - our first visitors from Norway. The apartment is now closed for 2 months while we update the sauna bathroom so there will be a lovely new shower room for 2010.
In both bedrooms there is independent air conditioning so you can close up the windows and still keep cool or alternatively turn it to a heating setting in the winter and keep warm!
The complex is laid out like a White Hillside Village and you can criss cross the gardens using a variety of stairwells and pathways. It is not suited to anybody with mobility issues, such as wheelchair users or very painful hips and knees but several families with children in buggies and toddlers have easily managed the few steps down to the pool from our apartment and back and out onto the roadway to get down to the port and the beach. There are no steps/staircases within the apartment Please call me to discuss should you have any specific concerns.

Perfect Holiday .. Perfect Apartment

Review Submitted: July 27, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Hi. We're just back from two weeks in the apartment and I can honestly say everything was just 'perfect'. It's perfectly equipped for a family holiday (Sky TV, 2 bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen etc etc etc). The grounds and the pool, are maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Because there are no 'permanent' sunbeds at the pool it's a very relaxed place to be - not getting up at 7am to 'get a space'.

The town of Puerto Banus is an easy 10 minute walk from the apartment which was ideal and suited us perfectly.

Serena was SO helpful and all the information she gave us ensured we had the relaxing holiday we wanted. The apartment has lots of leaflets and maps which are there to be used by all.

We would love to come back again one day soon and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone: singles, couples and families alike.

We have been visiting this region for the past twenty years, and have stayed in many varying apartments. We never tire of Puerto Banus and the surrounding countryside. We were thrilled when we first stayed at this apartment in the Aldea Blanca complex. So far as we are concerned, it lacks nothing. It is spacious, extremely comfortable and well appointed, with a very large terrace on which we have enjoyed many an al fresco breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher and microwave, has air conditioning/heating and boasts a sauna (great in the winter months). The gardens in the complex are some of the best we have seen in the area, with a large swimming pool, which is the perfect spot to laze during the day. The apartment is very close to everything one could need – a stone’s throw from a well stocked supermarket, a five minute walk from Centro Plaza (near the bullring), which has a gym, several restaurants and bars (and another supermarket), a gentle twenty minute walk to Costa Marbella, a large shopping complex where you can buy anything from a toothpick to a speedboat (!) and it is less than a fifteen minute stroll to the port and the beach! The Saturday market in Centro Plaza is well worth a visit, if only to people watch! There is also a tapas bar nearby, which serves excellent food and is a great place to meet the locals. All in all, we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to stay in the Nueva Andalucia area.

The apartment is large and spacious, with a wonderful outside terrace for sunbathing or relaxing. The complex is set is beautiful gardens with swimming pools, easy walking distance to Pueto Banus. There are also 2 supermarkets, shops and restaurants close by.
The weather was warm and sunny most days, although it did go rather chilly at night, but the heating system was very efficent and lovely and cosy. We had a wonderful 10 day stay and I would hightly recommend this property to anyone. Everything was catered for, from a good supply of linen and towels, to Sky TV, barbeque, and a music system should you require it. We will definately go back again.

This apartment is set in a stunning location within walking distance to the beach, bars and magical harbour of Puerto Banus.

Comfortable, up to date furnishings and fully equipped for easy self catering including a dish washer ! Local supermarket accross the road selling all the necessary stuff. Tapas bar also accross the bar serving fantastic lunches.

The apartment is light & airy inside and has a lovely large terrace outside for sunbathing and large table easily sitting 6 people.

The grounds are spotless and well kept, the nearest large pool has loads of room to spread out and is a 2 min amble. The complex is very quiet with very little noise.

We have been to this wonderful apartment several years running and have booked it again this year. Would thouroughly reccommend.

A lovely holiday home!

I would not hesitate to recommend this great apartment (or complex for that matter) to families or couples of all ages. There are a few steps leading to and from the apt. but they are not a problem, even with young babies, and add to the pretty 'village' style appearance of the complex. The grounds are lovely and the children's pool is perfect for young children who like to keep their feet firmly on the ground!
The apartment was more spacious than we imagined and the terrace too for that matter - perfect for al fresco dining at any time of the day! Ideally located, far enough away from the port to escape the noise, but close enough to stroll in/out when required.
Owners provided great customer service and plenty of helpful information.

Fantastic Complex and Apartment

Review Submitted: February 18, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
We stayed here with our two young children in August 2008 and had a fantastic time. The apartment is just as described in the ad, very spacious, clean and well looked after. The outdoor dining space is secluded and ideal for family barbecues in the sun!

The complex itself is quiet, very well kept with beautiful grounds and a large pool which the children absolutely loved.

We will certainly consider returning in the future and would strongly recommend this beautiful apartment for couples and families alike.

My wife, two kids aged 12 and 7, and I stayed in this apartment Nov 08 for 7days. The location and details were as described plus the owner was very helpful with the information provided. A car was useful but not essential. There is a excellent Chinese Restaurant 150m from the front door plus a wide choice of restaurants within 5min drive. The sauna within bathroom 2 was an nice feature. I would recommend this property to friends without hesitation and hope to return again during the summer months. The surrounding area is well kept and quiet.

We’ve been twice now and loved it. The first time was in mid-October, when the weather was still surprisingly hot – hot enough to laze by the pool in swimming costumes. The second time was in July, but considering it was high season, the complex wasn’t crowded at all; jolly with families, but still quiet enough to have plenty of your own space. The first break was just the two of us, while on the second holiday we had two teenagers in tow too – but the apartment and location offered more than enough in terms of facilities and local things to do and see to keep us all happy. (The marina at Puerto Banus is just brilliant for people-watching by the way.)
The description is spot on - and the apartment is so pristine, you could happily eat your fresh seafood paella off the floor. And Serena’s comprehensive directions, and really helpful hints and tips pack covering everything from how to work the sauna to visiting a safari park are excellent.
We’d definitely recommend it. Very stylish, but great value, especially when you can get such cheap flights to Malaga.
