Beautiful apartment complex in residential area

We just returned from a delightful week at Alba Blanca. We are in full agreement with the other reviews, From the very start Serena was extremely helpful and courteous. The apartment is in a lovely 'older' villa area. No huge blocks here, or building projects, Alba Blanca is well established, and surrounded by beautifully well maintained gardens.Apartment inside was spacious, clean and comfortable, with absolutely everything you needed. My sons were pleased with the TV and endless channels, plus internet connection. We live in Norway, and dont hear much noise, so our only little negative comment is, traffic noise. 1st few nights we had to sleep with bedroom window closed, but then we got used to the traffic and left window open. Also beds were a little hard for us, but guess thats personal taste. All in all, the apartment was just lovely, really homely, and we would absolutely recommend anyone thinking to book, to go ahead.
I havent been to Costa Del Sol in over 20 years, so naturally there has been much mass building - shame, but still there are many places to explore and find some old Spain, Ronda, being 1.
Back to Nueva Andalucia, great restaurants all within walking distance. The Thai restaurant Serna mentions was so good, we went back twice. Regina's was so so, bit of a wannabe's place, the Italian across the road from Reginas was much better and more authentic. Food generally was super everywhere, great choice and super service.
We would without doubt return for another off-season break. The apartment is excellent value for money!
1 last comment, the apartment is best for couples, families with older children. There are many steps over the whole complex, and would be a nightmare for toddlers and people with walking disabilities.
Owner's Response: I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay - our first visitors from Norway. The apartment is now closed for 2 months while we update the sauna bathroom so there will be a lovely new shower room for 2010.
In both bedrooms there is independent air conditioning so you can close up the windows and still keep cool or alternatively turn it to a heating setting in the winter and keep warm!
The complex is laid out like a White Hillside Village and you can criss cross the gardens using a variety of stairwells and pathways. It is not suited to anybody with mobility issues, such as wheelchair users or very painful hips and knees but several families with children in buggies and toddlers have easily managed the few steps down to the pool from our apartment and back and out onto the roadway to get down to the port and the beach. There are no steps/staircases within the apartment Please call me to discuss should you have any specific concerns.
