Nice vacation in Italy

Review Submitted: August 5, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We stayed in Villa Verita a week in july 2008 (Family of 2 adults and 2 children). We really enjoyed traditional italian atmosphere, quietness, nice owners and useful property location. From this place we made trips to Verona (less than 10 km), lake Garda area (about 25 km), Venice (about 115 km). The only one thing might be improved there - kitchen space would be a little bit larger. But all needed facilities were present. Thanks a lot for Genevra and her familty for their hospitality.
Owner's Response: I'm very pleased to know that Alex and his family liked their stay at Villa Verità!
We are doing our best to make our Guests feeling like at home!
A very special greeting to Anton from Però!

The memories fade too soon!!

We chose Ginevra's Villa Verita as our base to explore the Valpolicella region having read the very positive comments expressed by others here, and we concur with everything that has been said.

We flew into Venice, stayed one night there and picked up a hire car. It's an easy 90 minute drive to Villa Verita and although buses do pass the door, a car is essential to make the most of the surroundings. A few trips to Lake Garda, walks in the hills, a day in Verona and the grape harvest in full flow. Delightful.

The apartment was everything we required - restful and comfortable with great character, and as has been said many times, you couldn't wish for a warmer and more welcoming host than Ginevra.

Evenings spent sipping an excellent Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso under the tree - now there's a memory that will take a long time to fade!!

Herzlichen Dank!

This is an absolute gem of a place. Not only is is set in the most gorgeous surroundings and ancient villa, but it is close to Verona, Lake Garda, Venice and some stunning vineyards. Ginevera was the most gracious of hosts; from picking us up from the train station to lending us cushions for the Opera(very much appreciated!). We enjoyed cultural days, delicious meals at the local Trattoria and sleepy afternoons under a stunning tree. There is a supermarket close and the views from the bedroom are perfect Italy. The flat itself is well equipped with a washing machine and all mod cons. I could not recommend this property more highly- our only mishap was a misunderstanding about the procedure of payment but Ginevera was very understanding!
Enjoy!

A place to keep in mind

Rigoletto München, Germany
Review Submitted: July 1, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
It has been the perfect place for a cultural but also relaxing voyage to the Valpolicella, Verona and the Garda lake. We have felt very comfortable and welcome.

The description and the pictures of the location were absolutely correct, it is as lovely as you can see in the photographs. We even found much more equipment in the appartment than expected, tools for cooking, tea and coffee, but especially a lot of tourist information for all the region, booklets, maps, adresses of trattorias etc., which were very helpful.
The appartment was clean and well ordered. In contrast to common (modern) appartments to rent, this appartment have a special atmosphere, a mixture of history and peaceful countrylife, which made it so nice to live there. We also enjoyed the cooking in the kitchen. The Rosseto-Supermarket is only 5 minutes away. (we preferd to go by car because of the traffic). We also had a wonderful evening sitting outside under the trees in the garden, with some candles and a bottle of wine.
The owner is very kind and helpful, she would always be there, if we had any problem or question. And she had more fresh towels than we could ever use... By the way, the washing machine in the appartment is a great thing.
It was also good to have the car in a place (court) which was not accessible for others.
The position of the villa is perfect for whatever direction to go: We enjoyed the near distance to Verona (max. 15 min by car), also to the hills and mountains of the Valpolicella (we recommend the water falls of Molina for a hot summer day) and to the Garda lake.
The region offers a lot of restaurants or trattorias which seem to be frequented by natives, not only by tourists. The Trattoria behind the house (no direct entrance from the villa, it is not easy to find it) "Sottocastel" is worth visiting, we had one of our best meals there. We also liked the trattoria "Stella" some hundert meters down the main street, which has a nice garden, which you can't see from the main street.
The Sporting club next to the villa was nice for a day on the pool. Not cheap, but very clean, luxourious and comfortable, and we were almost alone in the park and the big pool (not forget your swimming cap- but you can borrow some).
The Bus stop is directly in front of the villa, but we have not tried going by bus. However, we have seen a lot of busses on this route to Verona and back.

Long Weekend in Verona

Fenja Southend on Sea, UK
Review Submitted: June 26, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
This apartment is in idyllic settings, down a private driveway in a quiet village just outside Verona, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Bus routes pass along the road so very easy to access Verona, but for those more comfortable with walking, a long walk next to the river is very pleasant.

The apartment itself is very comfortable and easy to relax in. Beware the bed is extremely comfortable, so there is potential to waste the holiday by not leaving the bed.

The villa has a huge quadrangle style green outside which is lovely for catching some sun outside.

Generally, this is a perfect location for relaxation and some cultural exploration. I would certainly return. It is beautiful and the apartment is beautiful and cool.

I would suggest a great place for a couple - not so much to keep little ones entertained though.
