A place to keep in mind

It has been the perfect place for a cultural but also relaxing voyage to the Valpolicella, Verona and the Garda lake. We have felt very comfortable and welcome.
The description and the pictures of the location were absolutely correct, it is as lovely as you can see in the photographs. We even found much more equipment in the appartment than expected, tools for cooking, tea and coffee, but especially a lot of tourist information for all the region, booklets, maps, adresses of trattorias etc., which were very helpful.
The appartment was clean and well ordered. In contrast to common (modern) appartments to rent, this appartment have a special atmosphere, a mixture of history and peaceful countrylife, which made it so nice to live there. We also enjoyed the cooking in the kitchen. The Rosseto-Supermarket is only 5 minutes away. (we preferd to go by car because of the traffic). We also had a wonderful evening sitting outside under the trees in the garden, with some candles and a bottle of wine.
The owner is very kind and helpful, she would always be there, if we had any problem or question. And she had more fresh towels than we could ever use... By the way, the washing machine in the appartment is a great thing.
It was also good to have the car in a place (court) which was not accessible for others.
The position of the villa is perfect for whatever direction to go: We enjoyed the near distance to Verona (max. 15 min by car), also to the hills and mountains of the Valpolicella (we recommend the water falls of Molina for a hot summer day) and to the Garda lake.
The region offers a lot of restaurants or trattorias which seem to be frequented by natives, not only by tourists. The Trattoria behind the house (no direct entrance from the villa, it is not easy to find it) "Sottocastel" is worth visiting, we had one of our best meals there. We also liked the trattoria "Stella" some hundert meters down the main street, which has a nice garden, which you can't see from the main street.
The Sporting club next to the villa was nice for a day on the pool. Not cheap, but very clean, luxourious and comfortable, and we were almost alone in the park and the big pool (not forget your swimming cap- but you can borrow some).
The Bus stop is directly in front of the villa, but we have not tried going by bus. However, we have seen a lot of busses on this route to Verona and back.
