A very quiet and peaceful place to rest

Chris&Heike near Munich, Bavaria, Germany
Review Submitted: September 30, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Me and my wife found a wounderful area for having a rest and enjoying the mother nature. It was always a pleasure to come back to our cottage after a trip on the island. The beautiful flowers, the trees, the plants and herbs in the garden took all stress away in minutes. The cottage was equiped with everything you need. All was in good shape and very clean. The owners care for the location pretty much and are so kind and helpful to all guests. At least I could hang a wire between two trees as an antenna for Amateur Radio (my favourite hobby)

A week is not long enough

The gardens are stunning, the cottage was well equiped and very comfortable and our hosts Bonita, Ed and Brandon's help was above and beyond the call of duty. We also enjoyed visits from the 2 cats. As always we found a week is not long enough to do the island justice. We would strongly reccomend the beautiful Quinta das Acacia to family and friends.

Honeymoon at Quinta das Acacias

Vir Soller - Mallorca, Spain
Review Submitted: April 27, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Quinta das Acacias for 12 days beginning of April. It has been 2 weeks since our arrival and I can not stop thinking about how beautiful it was. We explored, the island along our stay but we also relaxed and let ourselves go with the still life of Sao Miguel and right now we feel missing this special spot very much. Besides the fact that we couldn´t really score that much surf (one of the reasons of this destination) we received not only from Bonita and Eduino but also from the islanders a great reception that made us feel being at home since day 1. We definitely recommend all travelers searching for peace, nature and pure beauty to visit this island and stay at Quinta das Acacias because you will not be disappointed. All details mentioned on their web page are 100 % true and this is beyond all one of the nicest surprises our trip has offered us. Virginia & Ludwig.-

Kaikki kohdallaan!

Vietimme viikon (23.02 - 02.03.09) Quinta Das Acacias-resortin huvilassa n:o 1. Auringonlaskut olivat upeita. Puutarha on Quinta Das Acaciaksen todellinen helmi tarjoten jopa talvi-aikaan huikean kukkaloiston ja kypsiä banaaneita aamiaiseksi. Pieni auto viikoksi vuokrattuna ei ole kallis.Supermarket, josta voi hankkia kaiken tarpeellisen on n. 10 min ajomatkan päässä. Lähettyvillä on pari kolme kahvibaaria ja pieni kauppa.Yksi San Miguelin parhaista ravintoloista on n. 3 km päässä. Hyvä uimaranta sijaitsee reippaan kävelymatkan päässä. Ponte Delgadaan ajelee n. 20 minuutissa.
Asiakkaan
tyytyväisyys ja viihtyvyys oli heille kunnia-asia.
Mikäli palaamme uudelleen San Miguelin saarelle, majoitumme aivan varmasti Quinta das Acaciakseen!

Very pleasant self-catering experience

Jardar Trondheim, Norway
Review Submitted: September 19, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We stayed a week in September 08 in cottage #1. This cottage has a lot of privacy (except from the curious and cozy cat..), a nice view and as the rest of the cottages; an immediate access to the marvelous garden. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped, we even had a mixer so we could make a nice tomato soup! The hosts Eduino and Bonita gave a very good impression, they are very friendly and helpful. They seem to have a greater motivation for running their business than just making money. It is very convenient to have a car while staying here. And we regret we didn't have more time. Hope to come back again sometime. Jardar & Marthe

Owner's Response: Thank you Jardar and Marthe for sharing your thoughts,
When needed, we enjoy helping our guests get the most out of their vacation; whether it is finding a secluded beach, a special view of the coastline or suggesting a traditional meal at a favorite local restaurant.

Quinta das Acacias Cottage 2.

We really enjoyed our week's stay in this cottage. It contained everything needed for self-catering. The cottage v clean with interweek cleaning provided. The beds were very comfortable (twins pushed together making a massive double bed!)
The gardens are superb, with all that could be wanted for a perfect holiday. BBQ's, loungers, quiet areas and the flowers!
Benita and Eduino are just lovely people and helped make this one of our best holidays. (try their bananas). Have recommended to friends.

A little piece of heaven!!!

Review Submitted: April 9, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
The minute we came through the gates, we were in heaven. It is so beautiful and peaceful I can't even put it into words. The pictures do not do justice to what is actually there. We travel all around the world and this is one of the cleanest, best maintained places we have ever been. Bonita and Eduino are very special people and you can tell that they love what they are doing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them and their slice of heaven.

Doug and Sandy
Owner's Response: Thank you Champ, Our island is proud to host the PGA European Tour tournaments for the next two years. Quinta das Acacias is looking forward to accommodating in our little paradise, some of the finest professional golfers from around the world.

Hands Down, Best Place to Stay in Sao Miguel!

Amy&Fabio Hartford, CT USA
Review Submitted: March 22, 2008 Date of Stay: March 2008
My fiance and I have just returned from a week stay at the Quinta and cannot think of a better place to stay. The property is fantastically maintained and the cottages are immaculate. There's a full stove, refrigerator, microwave & every other appliance one could need to have a home-cooked meal or prepare a nice breakfast before a full day of sight seeing.

The property owners go above & beyond to make their guests have a vacation that best suits their needs- such as arranging a taxi, recommending tours, and even restaurants. They even have the property lit until midnight so that guests can enjoy a nice glass of wine while taking a stroll under the stars.

I would without a doubt recommend Quinta das Acacias to anyone looking for a quaint place to call home while on holiday- the property itself is a mini-paradise.
