A Great Place to Stay!

We have visited Bruges many times but this was the first time we have rented a house rather than stay at a hotel and the Asterix house was perfect. It is ideally situated, a short walk from the main squares and visitor attractions and also easily accessible by car from outside of the city. The large nearby garage was a real bonus.
The house is well maintained, very well equipped and all the bedrooms are a good size. The bakery and deli down the road are fantastic. If you want to eat out there are lots of restaurants within easy walking distance.
For four adults it worked out as far better value than using a hotel.
We will definitely be staying there again!

We stayed at the Asterix for 4 nights. The house is cute and practical--great if you have a family. There's nice sized playground park (the only one in town) is just 20 steps away from the front door to give your kids extra playtime. There's also a wonderful bakery, produce shop, and a deli with prepared meals just a block away, all of which have friendly staff and wonderful food to eat.
Bike rentals just down the street and around the corner as well.
To get to the main square takes only minutes as you take a pleasant scenic route through town past the fish market and canals.
The owners are hospitable, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again whenever we return to Bruges. I highly recommend the Asterix house for your holiday stay in Bruges.

The accommodation was ideally situated, comfortable, with the bonus of a bar & restaurant next door. Geert's introduction was superb, and we found the property clean, tidy with more than adequate utensils etc.
Brugge is a wonderful city, and this house is ideally situated, with all you need within easy reach. We will go again, and stay at Asterix House.

Siamo stati nella casa Asterix a Bruges una settimana. Siamo stati accolti molto bene dal signor Gerte, una persona squisita. La casa è confortevole e molto centrale, in pochi minuti si raggiunge il bellissimo centro della città.
La casa è spaziosa e dotata di tutti i confort; noi ci siamo stati comodamente in 7 persone. Grazie all'atmosfera magica della città di Bruges e alla bellissima sistemazione che abbiamo trovato abbiamo trascorso una bella e divertente vacanza.

Wir haben uns im Obelix-Haus sehr wohl gefühlt, denn es liegt etwas abseits vom Stadtkern und ist damit sehr ruhig. Man erreicht aber die Stadtmitte innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Die Ausstattung ist gut und entsprach der Hausbeschreibung, nur hätten geputzte Fenster den Genuss perfekt gemacht. Der Vermieter hat uns sehr nett empfangen und war telefonisch bei Fragen immer erreichbar. Das Haus ist sehr empfehlenswert und wir werden sicher einmal wiederkommen.

Well located. Easy walks to all main city attractions. Easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, bakery and butcher shop.
Parking garage was appreciated. Friendly owner who greeted us with a nice port!

Nous venons souvent à Bruges dans cette maison très bien située.
Tout y est, elle est très bien équipée et proche du centre dans un quartier très chic et agréable.
N'hésitez pas, l'accueil des propriétaires est très chaleureux et convivial.

Asterix House was was centrally located and ideal for exploring the city. Geert gave us a warm and friendly welcome and provided us with the essentials for our stay. The descriptions on the web site are reliable for both location within the city and for the amenities which are provided. I would recommend this property and feel sure we will use it again when we return to the area.

A very comfortable house, where the owner has clearly put a lot of effort in to furnishing and catering for guests needs. E.g. Kitchen comes with basics such as coffee, tea, oil, spices etc, A huge selection of DVD's etc.
The house is well located in the centre of Brugge, but on a quiet enough street.
All bedrooms are a good size and standard.
Finally, we stayed over the easter weekend, and the owner very kindly provided an easter hamper, with eggs, pastries, port and the like. very generous
