My boyfriend and I have recently come back from the most fantastic 2 weeks in Barbados and this was partly due to the wonderful Cotton Bay Villa. Matt and I have been visiting Barbados for the past 15 years and we finally decided to rent a villa so we could get that 'home away from home' feel. This property exceeded our expectations of this type of holiday. The property is set within a beautiful gated community. The interior is bright and fresh and has the most wonderful kitchen/diner area with quality appliances. It actually makes you want to stay in and cook! The Master bedroom as spacious with a walk in dressing area and a marvelous 4 poster bed! We really loved the fact that all 3 bedrooms came with their own separate bathroom and as it was just the 2 of us we had one each! The location is fantastic particularly if you love surfing ( which my boyfriend does!) You are just a couple of minutes away from Surfers Point which is fantastic if you are up for adventure. If you are more like me and love swimming in the beautiful sea and reading a good book , the fabulous Miami Beach is just a 5 minute walk down the road. Also, for those who enjoy great island cuisine , Cafe Luna is also just a 5 minute walk and Oystins is just 5 minutes in the car. Fish Fry on a Friday is unmissable. The airport is only 15 minutes from the property so you are able to get the house and start enjoying your holiday in record time!
I would recommend this villa to couples, groups of friends and those who really want to feel they are living on this beautiful Island and have the freedom to explore and merge into the local life. If you want to go to tourist areas the Gap is only 10 minutes. We danced the night away on a couple of nights but thoroughly enjoyed sitting at the isolated beach at Freights Bay, drinking a couple of cold banks and enjoying watching the most amazing sunsets.
I have already booked to go back in November and Matt and I both feel that we really wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now that we have experienced this beautiful, fully equipped property in such a great location and friendly, safe environment. I also look forward to going back when we start a family as this place is ideal for children.
I did feel that a swimming pool would top off the experience but who needs a pool when you have that stunning aqua marine ocean - bliss!

A Perfect Villa in Barbados

We rented the villa for 2 weeks for family and friends. It meet all our expectations and was exactly as described; modern, spacious with full amenties and wi-fi. The villa had everything that we required and much more, it was like being at home but in a beautiful setting. The house is located in a gated area and is very safe. Miami beach is a 15 min walk and approx 20 mins to oistins walking. We hired a car which i think is essential but you can catch the ZR's (mini-cabs) from the main road. The location of Cotton Bay is ideal as you are only a short ride (15 mins) to St Lawrence Gap, 5 mins in car from Oisitns, 15 mins from the airport. I would recommend this villa to anybody and will be using this as my home in barbados in the future.
Thanks to Tricilia and Talitha for making our holiday a memorable one.

Beautiful Barbados

We rented this villa for 2 weeks. Me, my partner and 8 month old son stayed there along with Grandma and Papa. The property had loads of room for us all and then some! The facilties were excellent; , good air conditioneing in every bedroom, a huge fridge freezer, all cooking appliances and a TV and music system. The owner provided us with a travel cot which saved us carrying yet more luggage. Whilst there, we had excellent contact with the owners relative should we need anything. It is situated in a gated road with well maintained gardens. The property was cleaned by a maid once a week but you could have more if needed. The house is ideal for families or a group of friends as the 3 bedrooms all have their own bathroom. A car is preferable although the local buses/vans can get you to and from the city. I would recommend this property to others and will most probably return there next year.

Great Location, just few minute from enterprise beach, and close to Saint Laurence’s gap.
It’s precious for people who want to enjoy the calm and relax of the island cost without losing comfort and nightlife tipical of a city. And it’s absolutely the best position in the south for surfers… just in front of Freights spot, two minutes walking from south point, and close to surfer’s point as well .
The house is brand new, and complete of every comfort, big room and a complete kitchen. We enjoy even the garden for barbeque. What to say… thanks a lot Talitha and Thalicia for your hospitality, and see you soon!

Perfect!!

My stay at Cotton Bay Close was one of my most relaxing stays I've had in Barbados - although so close to all that you need during your stay there, there is always that sense and feeling of a beautiful, private home-from-home experience.

A car is a good idea to have to get around the island from your stay at Cotton Bay - but if without, bus transportation is accessible to nearby towns and Bridgetown. A maximum 15 minute walk will take you to an amenity store if no car is available.

I very much recommend this gorgeous home to all. Now looking at booking my return, back to what I can now call, "a second home!!"

Frazzy x

A HOME FROM HOME

For 5 of us on a "girlie" holiday this property was just what we needed. A spacious, modern well equiped property in a secure private road with a lovely little patio area out front. The kitchen area is a good size with a big cooker ample utensils If your mad enough to want to cook. There's also a large Fridge/freezer with "on tap" ice (much to our delight) The large garage houses an american style washing machine and dryer
On our arrival we were met by someone who explained all including local info and the number of a very reliable/prompt and friendly minicab/bus company.
There's a lovely quiet very sandy beach about 10 mins walk away but Ostins and the nearest supermarket is more like 20/25mins walk. So a cab would be good if you're unable to walk far. The Bus route from the road outside the gate is VERY irregular (never saw one) so you can't rely on this. However there are the little minibuses you can catch if you walk down toward Ostins.
If you're looking for night life and places to eat then it's Ostins on Friday nights and St Lawrence Gap every night!(cab ride for the Gap but still not too far)
All in all very good property in a good location.
Very comfortable. A home away from home. 8 out of 10

Only things to note: Could have done with the cleaner coming more than once a week.
Be warned- some items you may assume would be supplied are not. If you arrive after the supermarket has close you may find yourself without something vital!
Best to ask.
